NBCOlympics will show the US Live.
I don’t have a link but if you go to the Triple Twist twitter account they are putting up quotes from a Marta article in IG that is hilarious.
Allegedly the American Cup judges didn’t give Skinner credit for her Cheng ( You mean the judges USAG chooses to send to their meet?) She also is making every excuse under the sun to justify Gabby being on this team and the lies Gabby’s mother told about the coaching situation which pretty much proves Marta is a big ******* liar. Marta even mentions that she only wanted Gabby for the alternate at last years worlds yet she still got 2nd in the AA . Which never explains how she ACTUALLY made the team?
Isn’t it funny Mykayla “didn’t get credit for her Cheng yet she started competing that vault first all year? Marta just proved she is every bit as much an asshole and Steve Penny and will lie to protect her lies at any cost. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Marta told Mykayla to compete that vault first but I don’t remember where.
August 4, 2016 at 10:09 AM |
Happy blog anniversary GTT. Thanks for keeping this little community going, it is fantastic having a place to vent with likeminded folk! 🙂
You’re not the only one who remembers that Martha apparently told Mykayla to put her Cheng first. A bunch of people on Twitter remember the tv commentators at 2015 SCAM said her vault order was Martha’s decision .. Will have to go back to see if that’s right. So shady if it’s true but what’s new.
Was happy to see Larisa was potentially training with the USA alternates!
All the talk of Gabby and Christian’s “chemistry” has me side-eye-ing them..
August 4, 2016 at 10:33 AM |
You heard that comment during the commentary. Our illustrious commentator said he mentioned to Marta that he thought her Cheng looked better and she should do it first and Marta told him “that’s exactly what I told her” and so in Day 2 of trials she did.
August 4, 2016 at 10:37 AM |
Marta should remember her lies
August 5, 2016 at 8:15 AM
You’d think that as lying, manipulating and selfserving as Marta is, it would be in her best interest to remember the crap that She says. Then again, she has absolute power so it doesn’t really matter.

What time does podium training start?

Kenzo’s Yurchenko 3.5
The landing is a little scary but over all it’s not bad I think it would help if he got a little more height on the block before twisting it kind of looks like he twist on to the table kind of how Gabby and Shawn and a few others did on their Amanars.
August 4, 2016 at 11:11 AM |
August 4, 2016 at 11:25 AM |
They had Tara lipinski interview Simone. I guess Nastia ran out of questions.
August 4, 2016 at 11:32 AM |
There isn’t a link to PT it’s on the NBC app or NBC.com if you have a cable subscription. You can watch the guys from today not let Leyva compete AA to make sure their chosen two Brooks / mikulak make aa finals. It’s like they are punishing Leyva for qualifying ahead of bozo to aa their chosen boy in 2012, and so instead of reworking lineups for quals they are just letting Leyva compete where bozo would have competed. I hope Leyva quals to high bar and pbars and is the only men’s medalist. Mikulak is like Ryan locate without any medals. Lochte dyed his hair blue and it looks grey. Mikulak had a flag shaved into the side of his head.
Again. I hate gymnastics. Everything that comes out of Marta’s mouth is BS. Penny has four lady professionals. Floridas recruiting is imploding. Rhonda Faehn must be cackling with glee that Florida will not win another NCAA title in the near future.
August 4, 2016 at 12:28 PM |
From a team stand point it makes sense that the original alternate would not do AA, even though I agree that it seems suspect. But I agree with you that there is a very good chance Levya will be the men’s only medalist which will pretty much confirm he shouldn’t have be left off the team to begin with. I hope I’m wrong, but this men’s team just seems destined to be a solid 5th with no medals anywhere.
Oh well at least the women will dominate.
August 4, 2016 at 3:29 PM |
Yeah I never really understood the allure of Florida to be honest. In the short time NCAA Gym has been on my radar, it seemed like Georgia was the place to be, maybe somewhere else, then Florida.. I wonder which will get all the recruits next. Bama, LSU or the Sooners maybe? Or maybe UCLA with having Kyla, Kocian and almost having Simone on the team will be a draw card for UCLA. Florida has lost Gaskins, Locklear, Laurie, booted out Peyton and likely losing Bailie, maybe Alyssa and Jazzy (now that her bff won’t be competing for Florida)… I find college recruiting quite interesting!
August 4, 2016 at 4:18 PM
What happened with Gaskins and Florida?
August 4, 2016 at 7:42 PM
She changed her commitment after Rhonda left. One thing I don’t think this auburn coach / elite judge gets is that all the elite parents talk. Just like the girls do.
August 4, 2016 at 4:52 PM |
I thought it is hilarious.
August 4, 2016 at 8:26 PM |
No one outside of the gymternet remembers Nastia… LMAO!!!
August 4, 2016 at 9:30 PM |
Hong attempted the TTY but it seems she missed it. Chuso missed her Produnova too.

August 5, 2016 at 8:40 AM |
NPR is doing a big story on this as we speak. Me thinks Steve Penny will lose his job and USAG will pay individual and state, federal fines and lawsuit settlements.
Just talked to a friend in the Indiana Attorney General office who I’ve known forever. Says this article may be news to the public but it’s something that they have been “looking at closely.” Which sounds to me like the sh!t will hit the fan.
Remember Jared from Subway and his disgusting arrest? Well his sharing “material” by email is how they got to Sharp, according to my friend. And it was the Feds, not state and definitely NOT USAG reporting Sharp, who brought him down.
August 5, 2016 at 8:51 AM
Do they know what Marta and Liukin did to Wofford or is the only abuse that matters have to be physical ?
August 4, 2016 at 11:18 PM |
Aliya (supposedly) looked better in podium than usual. That’s good news.
China looked rough.
August 4, 2016 at 11:20 PM |
Apparently Hong actually stood up a TTY but it was a little short on the landing
August 4, 2016 at 11:47 PM
About Hong’s TTY, I saw it in Facebook, but I don’t know how to share it here, sorry. She landed it but, as JAS4 said, she was short and the last rotation wasn’t complete. In Twitter, people say she missed it, so I suppose they consider that it would get credited as a TTY because the last part wasn’t complete.
August 4, 2016 at 11:21 PM |
Tim Dagget published in Facebook a picture of Chusong with a heavy coat watching her teammates do UB. One of the commentators proclaimed she was sick, but I haven’t heard any confirmation. Did she do any routines?
August 4, 2016 at 11:23 PM
I saw on twitter she did a partial FX and someone said she had a fever
https://mobile.twitter.com/kyleshew/status/761228024494821377
August 4, 2016 at 11:40 PM
Aliya is doing whip full-in on floor. And a Mustafina dismount on bars again.
August 4, 2016 at 11:48 PM |
Skinner on beam
August 5, 2016 at 1:39 AM |
Okay so I wish skinner had left her coach like two years ago if rybacki can clean her up this much in a month
August 4, 2016 at 11:55 PM |
Paseka has done her vaults, so I suppose she is okay. Russia’s Federation said that they would announce if she could compete or not on August 3rd, but nobody said anything yesterday. She seems allright today, though.
August 5, 2016 at 12:57 AM |
There are some videos on Instagram! Here is Musty’s release on UB: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIsYL_Eh9Hp/

Amy Norman said on Twitter everyone is doing everything today and lineups aren’t decided yet #sure #martabs. Because Marta runs pt as a rehearsal for competition at least the first time through routines, and would die if the girls didn’t use the whole time and sat around like the guys do. Can’t wait to see if it looks like lineups are set.
August 5, 2016 at 1:29 AM |
Anyone who believes that the line-ups are random is either a 4-year fan or completely clueless or both haha.
August 5, 2016 at 1:39 AM |
It was Amy Boorman sorry…
August 5, 2016 at 1:33 AM |
So there is no where to watch non US podium training, right?
August 5, 2016 at 2:57 AM |
Here: http://stream.nbcolympics.com/womens-gymnastics-podium-training-subdivision-4?chrcontext=citi
SOS Europe. Anyone knows how to watch US podium training without cable log in?
August 5, 2016 at 4:29 AM |
I can’t watch it either. 😦
August 5, 2016 at 4:31 AM
Gabby just did an awful DTY. Super low and piked. Second one was better.
August 5, 2016 at 1:52 AM |
Matthew Ragsdale said that with the current connection and dismount, Aliya’s bars would have a 6.8 D-Score.
August 5, 2016 at 1:53 AM |
And Dipa landed her Produnova.
August 5, 2016 at 5:07 AM |
did she land it like produnova or just enough to not get a void?
August 5, 2016 at 5:55 AM
I’d say enough. I still have to see someone who lands it like Produnova did.
August 5, 2016 at 2:55 AM |
From Simone’s snap chat, the podium leo’s are red and heavily rhinestoned. I think hotpinknation is over lol
August 5, 2016 at 4:07 AM |
Under Armour says all the USA olympic leos for men & women will be RWB and feature a design variation of our flag. So no pink, purple, etc this year. Thank god.
August 5, 2016 at 12:06 PM
YES
August 5, 2016 at 4:07 AM |
I hat GD’s pass with the stupid tuck at the end…she can’t seriously get that connection?!?!
August 5, 2016 at 4:15 AM |
Me too!! It’s so ugly! It looks like an afterthought, like she forgot.
Btw – what is Bela’s role in USAG?
August 5, 2016 at 4:45 AM |
Bela makes the donuts talks to NBC. Says what marta wont say and makes pronouncements.
August 5, 2016 at 4:50 AM
Looks like Laurie is out of AA unless something changes.
Aly just hit her set.
August 5, 2016 at 4:18 AM |
How much you want to bet everyone does AA in podium training? When Gabby was named to the team there was so much backlash from fans. I bet they might want to minimize the negative publicity and not reveal who is doing the AA until actual qualifications. Marta could also be using this as a way to keep playing her mind games with the girls…anyone can do the AA, no one is a lock, etc, etc
August 5, 2016 at 4:22 AM |
Amy on Twitter today said the line-ups are random today and everyone is doing d writhing. She said the line-ups will be decided later. Funny.
We won’t know for sure till Sat prob when she has to submit the line-ups.
August 5, 2016 at 4:40 AM
not true. That has to be the vault line up and the floor line up.
August 5, 2016 at 4:21 AM |
Gabby looks pissed and like she’s miserable to be there. And why is she here?
August 6, 2016 at 3:22 PM |
A coach friend of mine hears that Fatalie has spent all her money, and Gabby has been sent in order to replenish the family bank account.
August 5, 2016 at 4:22 AM |
Gabby seriously couldn’t look less motivated and bored.
She’s sitting slumped over looking miserable. At least the others are chatting and either stretching or standing she’s just there with her sour mug. Motivating a nation.
August 5, 2016 at 5:10 AM |
I just snorted at this.
August 5, 2016 at 7:28 AM |
If the AA is Simone, Gabby, and Aly and Aly is standing up her Amanar, I could see Gabby being pushed out. She only outscores Aly on Bars right now. With actual correct scoring from intl judges Aly can clear a low to mid 15 on her 3 best events with hit sets. Gabby only two. Even Alys fugly amanar can get a 15.4-15.5.
August 5, 2016 at 7:41 AM
I have been wondering where you have been . Welcome back 🙂
August 5, 2016 at 5:29 PM
If you are referring to me than thanks😃
August 5, 2016 at 4:32 AM |
Two (mostly) stuck amanars for Aly.
Simone stuck hers too
August 5, 2016 at 4:39 AM |
Best Smile from Aly ever. She knows it too. The line up is not random. they are warming up randomly. But Laurie, Gabby Aly Simone is the lineup. I missed floor Rumor has Laurie sitting bars in prelims and Aly Gabby and Simone fighting it out for AA qual.
August 5, 2016 at 4:33 AM |
Aly stuck her two amanar:-)
August 5, 2016 at 4:38 AM |
And even got a hug from Marta! I wonder if she will let her do AA. She seemed happy. That has to be a good sign! Maybe.
August 5, 2016 at 4:40 AM |
NBC keeps showing valentina…. watching TEAM USA
August 5, 2016 at 8:25 AM |
And others in the stands recording the pt. Probably figuring out start values lol
August 5, 2016 at 4:43 AM |
Rumor is that Laurie got bounced from AA. What was the order they went through floor? Looked like Gabby Laurie Simone Aly. then Kocian went as alternate. If that’s the lineup Aly is getting a boost from being last and Gabby stuffed first. LMFAO if she gets wiebered in the lineups 🙂 Cant wait to see where she goes up on beam
August 5, 2016 at 4:50 AM |
Okay so if you believe the walkover and ALy knows what this signals to her fans, they walked to bars and presented Aly Simone Gabby Madison with Laurie in the back, and that means :-)))))) I am now Aly Raismans biggest fan and praying she beats Gabby for an AA qual spot
August 5, 2016 at 9:36 PM |
You and me both!!! Loved her smile after the Raismanar.
August 5, 2016 at 4:51 AM |
Gabby missed some connections. And was spotted by a coach on a transition.
August 5, 2016 at 4:52 AM |
Gabby snapped the bar on her DLO dismount. she also needed spot low to high transition.
August 5, 2016 at 4:53 AM |
Thanks guys for reporting! I was booted out of the free NBC 30 minutes.
August 5, 2016 at 4:54 AM |
Aly hit both bar set. Stuck dismount and a hug from Marta.
August 5, 2016 at 4:58 AM
Yay!!! Thank you lIanchik!!!
August 5, 2016 at 4:53 AM |
Laurie knows she isn’t doing bars, that wasn’t even close to polished
August 5, 2016 at 4:55 AM |
That was the warm-up.
August 5, 2016 at 5:10 AM
Both routines she did had major leg separation
August 5, 2016 at 5:17 AM
I know So many leg separations. I hope she sticks around for 2020. Or takes a break and comes back. She deserves to compete in the AA. But Aly definitely deserved it this time. Her bars were awesome! So happy for her! 😀
The more people that get pushed out of competing the more I really start to just hate GD. She took spots from Jordyn, Kyla, Bailie, MyKayla, and now Laurie. I hope all those girls realize they are miles ahead of this subpar olympian.
August 5, 2016 at 4:55 AM |
Laurie didn’t even salute beginning or end of her first bars, and they told her “plenty of time you don’t need to rush” Marta just said best work to Aly. Aly knows every routine counts and got it done warm up and the one that Marta is counting.
August 5, 2016 at 4:59 AM |
I’m sitting here grinning like an idiot. Thanks so much! So happy for Aly! Haha whenever I don’t have access to see these things I always feel like Laura Ingalls on the prairie just waiting for a letter.
August 5, 2016 at 5:48 AM
🙂
August 5, 2016 at 4:58 AM |
Aly is done with barsgrips off… 🙂 Gabbys bar routine missed a bunch of handstands barely. Marta went over and said handstands to gabby…. hahaha I could have sworn it was handstands not so good.
August 5, 2016 at 5:01 AM |
Wow, Aly’s bars look better than Lauries.didn’t see that comming
August 5, 2016 at 5:05 AM |
Laurie second routine. Massive leg separations. Laurie is not going on bars, Only simone and Kocian and Laurie are going a third time half routine from simone, she must have seen / felt something off
kocian is redoing the second part of ther routine to dismount stuck. They look amazing except laurie and gabby on bars. I think laurie hasn’t focused on it at all. Kocian up to work on something else
August 5, 2016 at 5:09 AM |
Strange because she had a leg injury that usually means more bars..
August 5, 2016 at 5:06 AM |
Okay so Lauries full bar routines had major leg separations. Then she went up the third time and and just did a skill to dismount. No doubt Aly has the AA spot.
August 5, 2016 at 5:09 AM |
I doubt Gabby makes Bar finals. I can name 10 people with better routines. On a bad day. 2 Russians 2 Chinese, Kocian, 2 UK, and a german, maybe Andrade she looked amazing
August 5, 2016 at 5:10 AM |
Honestly I would put her up first on bars.
August 5, 2016 at 5:11 AM |
Larissa Miller, Britanny Rogers also have good bars.
August 5, 2016 at 5:35 AM
right Ilan, either of them, Gabby just looked bad. I hope that opens up the field I hope rogers makes it.
August 5, 2016 at 5:12 AM |
Yeah, dude, what was Andrade’s start value on bars? I never pegged her for a bars-worker, but she’s killing it.
August 5, 2016 at 5:15 AM |
they are letting laurie go up third on beam and aly is going second to get her qualified to beam finals. That’s actually a good trade for Aly. beam order is gabby aly laurie simone
August 5, 2016 at 5:17 AM |
To get Laurie qualified to beam finals?
August 5, 2016 at 5:18 AM |
Hopefully that means Gabby is low-balled on beam or at least scored normally for a change.
August 7, 2016 at 1:38 AM
Low ball would imply that she could stay on the beam. 🙂 I’m still so pissed about trials.
And what about this Madison nonsense? Didn’t NBC say they would use HER instead of Gabby on beam? That Gabby would only be used for beam now? What bullshit! I hate all of these people.
August 7, 2016 at 1:41 AM
Right? I can’t believe Gabby gets to do beam. Sigh.
There is change.org petition to get Laurie to do AA haha
August 5, 2016 at 5:19 AM |
Hearing someone in the background with Phantom of the Opera as their FX music. I miss Kyla :((((
August 5, 2016 at 5:21 AM |
Thanks for all the updates guys. It SUCKS not being able to watch podium training.
August 5, 2016 at 5:36 AM |
they posting parts on twitter.
August 5, 2016 at 5:24 AM |
Yep I’m thinking that it gives Laurie a better chance at beam finals, although she was more shaky than Aly. Good from both of them. Gabbys beam set is like missing all of the connection and Madison looked better at Trials than she does here. I would say beam final is a dog fight between Aly and Laurie.for the second qual spot, I missed simones beam. they are all going again ful routines on beam.
August 5, 2016 at 5:25 AM |
Thanks for the updates! Massively appreciated.
August 5, 2016 at 5:26 AM |
Gabby second time through shaky on back ful one legged the landing. l, shaky on front flip landing. gabby did everything but a real dismount. marta really liked that but…
August 5, 2016 at 5:29 AM |
Aly much better second time through no wobbles, hop on Patterson, other than that clean as spring air. Laurie, almost off on her second back handspring. At least four little balance checks, tiny and shes covering well hop back on dismount
August 5, 2016 at 5:31 AM |
Simone hand down on front with a full Simone went with a non dismount. Not gonna comment on Kocian. Simone doesn’t look happy with that.
August 5, 2016 at 5:32 AM |
Simone is up with ten seconds left in the rotation to do a real dismount
August 5, 2016 at 5:45 AM |
Did she do one?
August 5, 2016 at 7:13 PM
Yes
August 5, 2016 at 5:35 AM |
The. weird. chanting. 😒
August 5, 2016 at 5:38 AM |
So Overall Aly looked best which gives me a lot of hope. Simone looked great everywhere but beam Kocian looks amazing on bars. I’m not counting her other three “events” Laurie looks like she has nerves and hasn’t trained bars. Honestly now that the Aly vs Laurie question got answered, I’m happy. At least Aly has a shot.
August 5, 2016 at 5:51 AM |
Nastia Warning
what is she selling?
August 5, 2016 at 5:58 AM |
Thanks to your warning I don’t ever have to know what she is selling 🙂
August 5, 2016 at 6:07 AM
I haven’t looked yet, but in advertising you highlight the product. what is she selling shoes, bags, sports bra-half there skirt.
August 5, 2016 at 6:14 AM
She only sells herself.
August 5, 2016 at 7:14 PM
Shawn is launching a fashion line so now Nastia has to do something to compete with her
August 6, 2016 at 1:22 PM
I think Shawn’s so-called fashion line is just a gimmick production of yahoo sports. She claimed it is a joke.
August 5, 2016 at 5:54 AM |
Aly looked great. Impressed with her UB and vault. Didn’t see floor, how did they all look?
I think Aly connect the first punch front -leap on her second beam routine?

This just turned up in my feed.
Y is USA gym not paying for the trips to texas.
August 5, 2016 at 6:12 AM |
They only pay for national team members. And she isn’t on the national team.
August 5, 2016 at 6:38 AM
but I’m assuming she has been part of the developmental program. who pays for that?
August 5, 2016 at 6:41 AM
Gymnasts themselves. USAG only pays if you are on a national team. Each national team member gets a attend that includes airfare allowance but if you are not on a national team, you pay yourself.
Unfair, certainly.
August 5, 2016 at 8:27 AM |
Really sad. Just incredibly sad. And gabby is helping her at all ?
August 5, 2016 at 9:10 AM
I doubt Gabby is helping. But the gym did give Shilese a scholarship for fees.
August 5, 2016 at 8:47 PM
Another random question. What’s the word from Excalibur? Anyone ever ask them if she repaid her fees? It was such a scandal and then she (unfortunately) made it “so big” by winning in London that I’m surprised I never heard of it again. Unless I missed it.
Or is this one of the reasons so many gyms didn’t want to take her on. And, if so, you’d think that would encourage her to finally pay them… she seems conscienceless if not.
August 5, 2016 at 6:39 AM |
Do they send replay of Pt on NBC ?
August 5, 2016 at 6:46 AM |
dont think so. you can replay on NBColympics.com
August 5, 2016 at 6:51 AM
Thanks!
August 5, 2016 at 6:45 AM |
Random question..Did Aly ever have a 2nd vault?
August 5, 2016 at 6:50 AM |
Just read USA Gym’s rebuttal to the INDY Star. they only specifically called out Sharp.. who is from INDY..so throwing shade at them.
August 5, 2016 at 6:54 AM |
Anyone red the New York Times article about US WAG “amount of bling bling” on leotards 2008 vs 2016?
August 5, 2016 at 7:25 AM |
Maybe it was just me, but I thought Gabby’s bars looked improved in podium training…her handstands were not off. At least from the angle that NBC is showing, she looked pretty dead on. Slow and labored, definitely, but more precise than during Trials.
August 5, 2016 at 7:15 PM |
Marta cut her difficulty down by about .3-.4
August 5, 2016 at 8:30 AM |
According to the ESPN alert I just got Laurie “not likely” to compete in the AA. To quote “this what the team needs” …you guys!! GO ALY!!
August 5, 2016 at 9:12 AM |
I need to see official line-ups before I get super excited but yay Aly!
August 5, 2016 at 9:09 AM |
Maggie Haney not so pc about Laurie most likely not doing AA. Props for speaking up but I can’t imagine this being good for Laurie.
http://www.espn.com/olympics/gymnastics/story/_/id/17222895/laurie-hernandez-likely-not-mix-gymastics-all-around?utm_content=buffer0558e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
August 5, 2016 at 9:15 AM |
They better not make this about Aly because it’s all about Gabby being in this team. If she was at home and Skinner was here like it should be this would not be an issue. Aly beat Laurie at Nationals and a meet earlier this year so her getting the AA is justified and lests be real Hernandez was overscored at trials big time.
August 5, 2016 at 9:21 AM
Exactly! Except most of the press on this far is saying is that the decision is between Aly and Laurie. Maggie basically said it comes down to experience, essentially downplaying Aly as a legitimate AA’er. I’m starting to get pissed slowly.
Yet, Aly is better now than she was in 2012 unlike some others. But somehow this is her fault. Ugh.
August 5, 2016 at 9:27 AM
Considering how ugh better Aly looked today than Laurie , Maggie might want to be quiet. Not that I think she sounded bad she sounded just bitter but unless she is going to a Gabby she needs to be quiet.
August 5, 2016 at 9:33 AM
I don’t think Maggie blames it on Aly. I think the whole team knows Gabby is there because of politics and would get a shot at AA no matter what. So it was always between Aly and Laurie when it shouldn’t have been. I have to say I’m so relieved it looks like Aly is doing AA and is still peaking beautifully. I think she’s got this in the bag this time.
August 5, 2016 at 2:40 PM
That sucks. In 2012 people were saying that Aly “took”Jordyn’s place and now people are hinting she “took” Laurie’s?! Poor Aly. She earned these places, she doesn’t need to hear she took someone’s place when we know who the actual person who took it is.
August 5, 2016 at 9:22 AM |
She’s already on the team and it sounds like they know she isn’t doing AA so I don’t think it will hurt Laurie but it makes Maggie look bad. I totally get why she feels that way but there’s no point in saying it to media.
August 5, 2016 at 8:17 PM |
BTW this doesn’t help Laurie at all, Maggie Haney taking this to the press, in hope something will change. Even al fong keeps his mouth shut during competitions.
August 6, 2016 at 12:24 AM
Even John Geddert shut his trap in London.
August 6, 2016 at 2:57 AM
You think this is a silly rookie coach mistake or that she went to the media intentionally to see if she could somehow get Marta to steer things in a different direction?
Interesting. But yeah, tells me something if even Geddert shut up..although he made an issue out of the 2 per country rule, which does suck in general (I’d rather see the real top 25 compete instead of the top 10 plus 15 randoms) but they knew the rules going in.
August 6, 2016 at 2:59 AM
I don’t think she went to the media I think she was asked. The articles have it started , https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/olympic-competition-hasnt-begun-and-already-one-u-s-gymnast-has-lost-013024786.html
August 6, 2016 at 3:23 AM
and so have the comments hahaha…
August 6, 2016 at 3:45 AM |
Frankly I agree with her. Laurie deserves the third AA attempt in qualifications. She’s earned it. Gabby sure as fuck has done nothing to deserve it AT ALL. I’m fine with it being Simone and Aly in the AA final but I think Laurie should be able to fight for it.
Unfortunately, Gabby the Insufferable Twatwaffle is a “bar worker” (albeit a super shitty one lately), so they won’t give it to Laurie.
Ugh the fact that she was brought along at all infuriates me.
August 5, 2016 at 10:53 AM |
Oh and I just realized that based on the line-up, and how Laurie looked on bars, Simone is most likely doing bars in TF.
So much for “Skinner can’t go case we want give Simone a break.”
Cute, really, haha.
August 5, 2016 at 12:07 PM |
Also I just saw someone on Tumblr that said people criticizing Gabby’s attitude were being misogynistic and racists. How is saying someone has a bad attitude either of those things?
August 5, 2016 at 12:10 PM
On of the replies to that same Tumblr comment said that if you’re still bitter about Gabby being on the team then your racism is showing. I just don’t see how not wanting Gabby on the team because there were others that performed better is being racist.
August 5, 2016 at 12:16 PM
The whole racist card is so overused anymore. I feel like before Obama, people weren’t so hyped up to point out others as being “racist” when it came to anyone throwing shade at a non-white person.
August 5, 2016 at 12:15 PM |
That’s such BS, really.
Why didn’t they have Laurie training bars? What was the reason for that?
Now it just looks even more like Maggie got screwed. And Skinner of course.
August 5, 2016 at 7:17 PM |
Now it makes sense why skinner posted herself on beam yesterday. She looks amazing, she’d be giving us a third useable vault that scores better than a dty and backing up beam and floor in TF
August 5, 2016 at 3:58 PM |
I think some 4-year fans start to realize the rigged system of USAG selection.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/olympic-competition-hasnt-begun-and-already-one-u-s-gymnast-has-lost-013024786.html
August 5, 2016 at 8:21 PM |
Laurie and her coach would be better off keeping their mouths closed, this doesn’t help her with endorsements. This doesn’t help her with making a world team. Skinner if she goes to Utah this fall and is done knows it’s all BS. Locklear knows she’s better off keeping her mouth shout. It was a joke when gabby was put on the team, now Laurie is pissed and did crappy in PT and she and her coach better pull it together and get on the happy train or Marta will sit Laurie for TF like she did mccool
August 6, 2016 at 12:06 AM |
Yup, I actually think Laurie is going to pay a high price for complaining. In fact, it would not surprise me if she can’t overcome this “injury” and we never see her on the floor in Rio.
August 5, 2016 at 8:25 PM |
Maybe I’m just cynical
This is a beautiful media set up by Marta. I don’t believe for one second she isn’t driving the narrative here, with this whole Aly over Laurie thing. Again, take the focus off of Gabby and the ridiculous fact that she is doing the aa. This, obviously should be about gabby taking the spot from Laurie, but it’s not. Why?? Because this is about bars! Aly is the one with the poorer bar scores, so the media focus will based on the confusion of choosing a routine that would score lower than someone else’s, and Gabby, the darling of this god forsaken world, gets a pass. Also- chances are better for gabby to go against Aly, because we have a better understanding of how they will be scored with an international judging panel. Marta- you cunning little *****- you’re trying so hard for gabby to happen this Olympics, but I really believe Aly can take this (and honestly, I’m not a die hard fan of Alys gymnastics, more of just who she is and her work ethic and overall consistency.)
I fee badly for both Laurie and Aly. They’ve been put in impossible situations. I wish them both the best, and hopefully they can enjoy themselves and put the bullshit behind them.
August 5, 2016 at 8:26 PM |
BTW I knew gabby on this team was poison for team chemistry. Aly doesn’t even talk to her anymore. It’s so obvious this team was bought and paid for by citi, and the other endorsers. NOw Lauries floor doesn’t even look that great because emotionally she’s hurt and can’t cope with it. But that’s what Marta wanted. Congrats Steve penny. Laurie is not Jordyn and I don’t know if she has the toughness to pull this out like wieber did after she lost an aa qual spot to gabby. That took a lot for Jordyn to do that. And perform like she did in TF and do her job. Yesterday Laurie didn’t look like she was doing her job she looked like a hurt kid that was pissed off.
August 5, 2016 at 8:33 PM |
I can’t wait for prelims to watch gabby Aly and the petulant teenager fight it out for Simone’s scraps.
August 6, 2016 at 12:08 AM |
Agree, this team is a mess. An absolute mess. I guess there are two things I can root for: 1) Simone and 2) that Aly upsets Gabby for the second AA spot.
August 5, 2016 at 8:38 PM |
Btw I think Simone going up third in floor qual is to give her an extra 3-5 minutes of rest between floor and vault since she does two vaults there is no other logical explanation.
August 5, 2016 at 9:12 PM |
I’m not sure what to think here. First of all, I would LOVE to see Laurie in AA finals. She’s my favourite on the team. But I understand that as a new senior, very limited international experience, having one meet where she outscored Aly, and Aly’s difficulty being superior… Aly being the AAer and being given the opportunity to qualify.
I think it looks petty, dumb and self-absorbed for Haney to be talking about crying all week. Like we all would LOVE to see Laurie dazzle and wow and capture everyone’s attention in AA finals. Of course! But this 5 person team shit has ruined everything. And obviously almost everyone on the team will not be utilized the way they would have a few years back, and there won’t be as “fair” a chance for multiple to fight for one of the two AA spots, and there’s a plethora of girls back home and training in an alternate gym in Rio that get fudged over too with this sport being decimated this way. At this point, despite my personal disappointment at not seeing Laurie compete to the extent she would have in a different quad, I think with the political way these teams are selected and line-ups are formulated the joy here should be that Laurie came out as a new senior, wowed and is an Olympian. She and her coach have done an amazing job. But what does it do to the other girls, the team dynamic and relationships to hear her talk about bawling all week because her athlete may not compete all 4 events? How many girls under this system actually get to? Obviously if you tell the world this, if you’re not telling Laurie, she’s all over social media and is going to read it. What does this do to her perspective? Her joy in being there and competing for the team? Laurie has gone pro – before the competition began – she’s the youngest girl on this team by several years. She has more ahead of her. There is so much going into this, despite her being my personal fave.
Everyone knows that unless you’re Madison Kocian, the team event has a very silver lining. Every says it’s all about the team but the rest of the Olympic opportunity rests on AA and event finals qualification. They say it’s all about the team but every one of these girls is desperate to have every opportunity they can there, and under this system it makes it near impossible unless you’re a Simone Biles. Everyone knows what happened to Jordyn Weiber. The girls know team comes first and not everyone will get to compete all 4 events and that they all can’t get the same line-up spot in order to best qualify for an event final despite their legit world talent. So in advance of the team event to hear about Haney saying she’s spent the past week in Rio crying about this, is icky and really bad publicity.
August 5, 2016 at 11:00 PM |
Supposed injury to Laurie. How convenient
https://twitter.com/intlgymnast/status/761583853932834816
August 5, 2016 at 11:10 PM |
So who replaces her? We need a beam , vault and floor
Sounds like Skinner to me;) I don’t buy this injury either
August 5, 2016 at 11:15 PM
Laurie just posted on Twitter that she is healthy. I think it’s some pr crap.
If they were to replace her, I’d say it’s Regan. They most would need the beam but Marta won’t do it.
But it’s interesting. They never disclose injuries before a competition…hmm
August 5, 2016 at 11:15 PM |
I just think they want to find excuses for rationalize GD’s AA Qualification spot.
August 5, 2016 at 11:43 PM
I agree unless they are angry about her coach speaking out and want to make an excuse to bring in an alternate or at least scare her coach into silence. They are making Aly the one to blame again just like they did in 2012 when both times it was Gabby. She got gifts in prelims in 2012 while Jordyn was hammered on every tiny detail and now she is getting an AA position over Laurie when she wouldn’t have even been on this team if it weren’t for politics
August 5, 2016 at 11:49 PM |
Nope Laurie and Maggie are going to get punished for complaining. Laurie did crappy in PT and I said it was either an injury or a lack of being able to Jordyn up and get through it. I think they pull her off the team as an example not to talk. Its likely Sheryl Slade told her to tell the media on twitter that she isn’t injured regardless of whether she is or not. This whole thing is crappy for Laurie. I would say it would be skinner or Ragan replacing her. This may be why Skinner put her beam on Instagram and why five days ago Ragans parents decided to come. If I thought it was 50/50 that my kid would compete I would think more seriously about coming.
August 5, 2016 at 11:55 PM |
Now it’s not a hamstring injury but a stomach muscle injury. Lol.
I say Laurie is a bit injured but they didn’t expect ig to report it so they are backpedaling now.
I doubt Marta pulls Laurie but she will definitely scare her coach into submission. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a change in beam line-up with Aly going third now.
They kept Jordyn’s and Mac’s injuries abay so this is certainly not planned.
August 6, 2016 at 12:03 AM
It looked like an ab pull to me yesterday, that’s why I said what I did her carriage on floor even looks looser to me
August 6, 2016 at 12:05 AM
Oh and as far as IG not reporting it rubbish, IG is owned by Bart and Nadia, all Marta had to do was call Nadia, often an ab injury can lead to a hamstring injury
August 6, 2016 at 12:11 AM
It is suspect that Laurie’s injury got out when Jordyn and Mac’s injuries were kept very very quiet. My theory? Marta wanted that conversation piece out there so she can justify replacing her because she pissed about Laurie and her coach whining. That would be classic Marta.
August 5, 2016 at 11:55 PM |
skinner gives us vault three, beam three or four and floor three
Her vault and her floor would easily replace laurie, and beam would be between her and gabby. ragan puts gabby on vt and floor in tf and likely ragan only comes in and does beam. Martas call do we need the bonus points on vault? Skinners floor beats gabby or ragan by a half point. Do we need that? If Laurie is hurt or being punished for her coach speaking out then today is the day marta decides.
August 6, 2016 at 12:13 AM |
Well, I actually think Ragan has the edge. USAG clearly wants Gabby in as many events as possible and this manuever would help that. I can’t believe Laurie broke, really thought if anybody did it would be Kocian.
Laurie is getting totally screwed here though. Totally.
August 6, 2016 at 12:32 AM |
I think we will know 24 hours before competition when Marta has to submit an independent med report to FIG to get an athlete replaced. Can you imagine any of the 2012 coaches doing this? Either way I think the likelihood of her getting mccool end in TF is extremely high. This is why she could have waited and gone pro as soon as they had a team gold.
August 6, 2016 at 1:57 AM
Oh totally agree, none of the 2012 coaches would have done this. Even Geddert, who was known to speak his mind, understood the politics well enough not to challenge Marta in London. Unfortunately Laurie is going to be the big loser here.
August 6, 2016 at 12:02 AM |
IG is now saying ab pull which is what I said
August 6, 2016 at 12:08 AM |
Interesting because the NBC feed clearly shows Laurie doing twisting crunches…..so is she stretching out the pain or just stretching in general to keep her body warm before the next rotation? DAMN YOU MARTA AND YOUR HEAD GAMES!!
August 6, 2016 at 12:11 AM |
I think it’s a lateral ( up and down) left side ab rather than one of the twisting ones. She was better on her twisting tumbling on floor than her layout. Her DTY looked ok also.
August 6, 2016 at 12:28 AM
Ugh I want her to not be injured at all, but yes I would agree with you on it being lateral if there truly is an injury!
August 6, 2016 at 12:29 AM |
Supposedly:
…” Laurie Hernandez has confirmed via Twitter that this information is incorrect and the team is healthy and ready to compete! “
August 6, 2016 at 12:36 AM |
“team” not Laurie? She got Marta-ed.
August 6, 2016 at 12:43 AM
If Laurie is kept on a team, she is fine going pro, even if Marta pulls her off a TF line-up. She would still get a team medal.
If Marta replaces her, that’s a diff story.
If Laurie is pulled from TF, either GD or Naddie need to do beam and Marta doesn’t trust either. This could make things interesting lol
If Marta brings in an alternate, that person didn’t get to practice on a podium–problematic, especially as a beam replacement.
August 6, 2016 at 12:47 AM
They would get to practice on warm up in qualifications though, and likely that plus competing in quals gives Marta all the info she needs
August 6, 2016 at 2:00 AM |
Sheryl Slade desperately trying to retain endorsements for Laurie has confirmed via twitter that its not true. Whether it is or not. Laurie doesn’t want to be replaced.
August 6, 2016 at 3:14 AM |
I can’t believe they will even try and replace Laurie – this is either Marta wagging a finger in warning to Maggie or …well, it’s probably Marta issuing a big warning. Do NOT question Marta’s politics, just go with it. And be happy she even made the team because there were plenty of others who could have just as easily been put in Laurie’s spot. Let’s be honest here.
Marta can manufacture any excuse to get the team she wants.
Clearly too, this is good for USAG/Marta because the attention diverts away a bit from GD being selected for the team and then the AA. Gives reason for Marta to give Laurie the boot on the AA. Funny thing though is that even the 4 year fans aren’t buying it.
And in this day and age, if they replace Laurie with Skinner or Ragan Marta is going to be called a racist.
August 6, 2016 at 5:51 AM
USAG saying Laurie reports are false, then says “at this time she is fine and training”. Why would they say “at this time”?!
August 6, 2016 at 7:39 AM
McKayla said something in her gymcastic interview that came to mind- no one on the team had have an ego bc they were constantly reminded that they could be replaced at the drop of a hat.
I do think this was a message to Maggie to shut up. Especially since Laurie will be the big name in 2017 and the probable world championship all around winner. If Laurie wants all the opportunities that going pro could bring, Maggie needs to just drop it.
August 6, 2016 at 1:17 AM |
Does anybody know why Aly watered down her floor between Nationals and Trials? She went from 6.6 to 6.4 difficulty. She took out a leap from her series…I know her leaps aren’t always the best, but it didn’t seem like she was losing enough on execution to justify downgrading…or maybe they’re worried international judges will be more harsh?
August 6, 2016 at 1:19 AM |
I need her to make AA. I need her to stick that amanar like she did in PT and show everybody why she deserves to be there. If she comes away with an AA medal after what happened in 2012 I will be so happy…she’s grown on me more and more these past few years, seeing how hard she works and how she genuinely seems to care for her younger teammates.
August 6, 2016 at 1:59 AM
Well, if anybody can do it, Aly can. She is nothing if not consistent. And she can deliver when it matters.
Quite a storyline for her if she grabs the 2nd AA spot again this Olympics.
August 6, 2016 at 1:24 AM |
I was wondering the same, but someone pointed out that it was the double turn after her first serie that was not given credit therefor minus 0.2. But I am nor sure?
August 6, 2016 at 1:32 AM
Ohhh maybe…she used to have four leaps in her leap series though and now she only has three (from nationals to trials). So I was assuming that’s where it came from, considering she received 6.4 on both days of trials.
August 6, 2016 at 1:49 AM
I think others posting here will soon enlighten both of us katecoursey:-)
So, was it the leaps (lack of one after third pass )or the turn after first pass that made Aly loose 0.2 at trials?
August 6, 2016 at 8:07 AM
You’re both correct! Losing the d turn is minus .2 in her Olympic trials routine, however, she also took out a split jump 1/1 as katecoursey points out. If she did that leap she would have had an extra c element to count and she would have lost only 0.1
August 6, 2016 at 3:12 PM
Thank you Gymbot!
I guess they decided that Aly lost more than she gained for that leap so they have taken it out now.
August 7, 2016 at 2:01 AM
No probs H – that totally makes sense. If she kept the C leap in the routine, she could save 0.1 on her D score, but it’s also another element where she can receive a deduction. Optimal routines present more or less 8 counting skills.
Kharenkova often fell victim to this, her floor and beam routines were packed with additional skills that weren’t optimal for score building: for example, she had two C+C mixed and dance combinations, but none of the four C elements were needed for requirements or top eight scores. So she risked deduction on four difficult skills for 0.2 bonus. Mustafina also takes a risky approach here, where she competes the triple turn and double turn with leg in split. Worst case scenario for her, she hits two memmels and doesn’t receive any difficulty credit for the second turn. She arranged her routine so that she could do her leaps at the end, if she thinks she didn’t get the mustafina, she would add a difficult leap at the end in her leap series.
August 6, 2016 at 1:32 AM |
Speaking of turns one of Gabbys on floor is questionable and the other is definitely incomplete. I hope she gets komovad like its 2011
August 6, 2016 at 8:09 AM
Yeah her turns are really wild. They were with chow, I think the strategy is to over rotate for getting the d score, some e score judges may not take the deduction so overall it nets points. However she has been stumbling out of it, not good for her
August 6, 2016 at 3:55 AM |
Did you guys see this feature from the NY Times? It’s top billing on NYTimes.com. So glad to see it! 🙂 http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/08/05/sports/olympics-gymnast-simone-biles.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=image&module=photo-spot-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0
August 6, 2016 at 5:53 AM |
In the light of everything I think the whole Laurie injury BS was a fail at IG trying to be relevant. But where did they even get this from? I seriously don’t think they’d be dumb to completely make up a stir for their already crap magazine.
In other news, I think we are two days way from seeing gabby tears flow after being 2 per countries/show of nasty attitude, and I can’t wait to see aly’s shining moment. I’m getting chills thinking that she’s the possible AA silver medalist 🙂
August 6, 2016 at 6:48 AM |
Yessss! I’m rooting so hard for Aly!
And I think there must be some truth to laurie’s injury. I don’t think they’ll actually replace her though as long as her coach keeps her darn mouth shut. How selfish to talk about herself crying. I’m sure mihai was pissed about aly’s tiebreaker last year but you didn’t hear him mouthing off.
August 6, 2016 at 8:14 AM |
Gabby won’t cry, she’ll get coach grabby to start filing appeals and then she will say it’s racist because they don’t want two black medalists
August 6, 2016 at 8:34 AM
The rotation and line-up order should also benefit Aly.
They start on floor, then vault. Aly goes last on flood and 3rd on vault. By the time they get to bars, she should have a big enough lead, fingers crossed. Gabby is first on flood and beam, which hopefully means she will get low-balled or at the least not overscored.
Go Aly!
August 6, 2016 at 5:56 AM |
Wow, journalism is getting interesting these days…first IG’s misquote on Laurie and now multiple articles regarding the negative comments made towards Gabby on the team…..
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/nancy-armour/2016/08/05/olympic-gymnast-gabby-douglas-rio/88274320/
August 6, 2016 at 7:47 AM |
People r all upset about IG reporting but let’s be real–they wouldn’t have said anything, unless Marta wanted them to. She knows how to keep injuries quiet when need to be.
Laurie may have a slight ab tear but it certainly not bad enough to prevent her from competing. She won’t get replaced. I think this was about Maggie, not Laurie.
And Laurie looking lackluster at podium training doesn’t help.
I have always rooted for Aly but I’m that much more now. She got it!
August 6, 2016 at 10:01 AM |
Speaking of which the skating lesson ripped the writer of this article a new one on twitter for her biased , Marta favored coverage of gymnastics. It’s a fascinating read until Dave starts ass kissing her at the end.
August 6, 2016 at 7:16 AM |
Do we know if the girls got approved for opening ceremonies?
August 6, 2016 at 7:20 AM |
No opening ceremonies, as far as I heard.
But they had a full day off today which is kind of unheard of lol
August 6, 2016 at 3:33 PM |
Guys you’re killing me, when did Opening Ceremony become plural? 😛
I’m sooooo curious to see what will happen to poor Laurie. I think she would have been better off going pro straight after the Olympics personally! That way if things don’t go to plan a la Rebecca Bross you still have options but if you do well you capitalise on it in the post Olympic glory period.
August 6, 2016 at 4:09 PM |
Even Shawn opens up how the nonsense of screwing Laurie’s AA qualification.

Man, I can’t tell if kids are boys or girls anymore these days. Sloan Scott. Well, they look happy and maybe they’ll get this little one in gymnastics!

Looks like she c-sectioned
August 7, 2016 at 11:42 AM |
I wonder how Bridget Sloan thinks of this baby name. 😂
August 6, 2016 at 9:08 PM |
The line-up is official now:
August 6, 2016 at 9:15 PM |
Nice, I couldn’t figure out how to post a picture to this from my phone. I’m upset that Laurie isn’t getting a shot at AA but I’ve seen it coming for a long time. I knew it would be exactly like the Maggie situation at Worlds last year and Gabby was doing AA no matter what. But lord please let Aly keep performing the way she has been and everything will be perfect.
August 6, 2016 at 9:08 PM |
https://www.usagym.org/pages/post.html?PostID=19025&prog= Aly has her AA shot official
August 6, 2016 at 9:10 PM |
It’s official, USAG posted the line ups to Facebook this morning and it’s what we saw in podium training.
August 6, 2016 at 9:14 PM |
Oh btw it’s the same lineup as pt…..Aly gets extra rest time between warm up and performance on floor and Simone gets extra rest time between floor and vault
August 7, 2016 at 12:36 AM |
how do we go about watching the live stream on nbc outside of the US?
August 7, 2016 at 12:46 AM |
Check if your own country has live stream online.
Most countries are running multiple live streams online of all the different OG events, while they promote a limited edition through TV. And the stream should be the same for any country, the only difference (as I have understood it) is the individual hosts/commentators.
You need cable to watch NBC, though you get access to the first 30 min without cable log in. So if you dont have cable log in you basically need to move from one city to another to keep get the first 30 minutes …
August 7, 2016 at 1:04 AM
So I got a VPN to watch other countries coverage, because I don’t have cable. I was thinking BBC would be the best bet. And from what I gather I can’t find a stream as of yet for Sub 4 (USA’s division) on the TV Player/ All BBC schedule. Anyone else know of somewhere to stream Sub 4 with a VPN? Wanting to watch live so I don’t get spoilers. Will watch NBC broadcast in the evening at a friends.
August 7, 2016 at 2:06 AM
Finland are streaming everything as far as I have seen.
August 7, 2016 at 3:20 AM
@H, Awesome! Do you have the website in Finland that is streaming everything. That would be extremely helpful.

I’m just going to put this out there – does anyone else see Laurie’s going pro when she did as one of the dumbest decisions ever? Announcement came out Wednesday and she got pulled (or was already out) from the AA lineup on Thursday. Doesn’t the lack of AA have a huge effect on her earning potential? I get that she can still make some bank off the potential team gold, and accept tour $$, but will it be worth it? It seemed like she really wanted to do NCAA. I get that it’s her life and all, it just seems like it might have been better to wait one more week and then do the math. I wonder if she has regrets now, or if she will be trying to un-sign a la Elise Ray?

I’m wondering if it was last ditch effort to get back into the AA picture.
However, according to her statement… she wants to stick around for four years. If she’s smart, elite can pay for her college education if she does stick around for four years. No guarantees in this sport, it was a risky move.

I hadn’t thought of that, Gymbot (last-ditch effort) – it’s apparently no secret in the gym world that the powers that be prefer pros, though I don’t really understand why. Interesting perspective.

Completely dumb. Unless she’s not meeting clearinghouse requirements for NCAA and college really would have been a tough uphill climb

She should have waited another year, until she possibly won AA at worlds next year (this is assuming Simone takes a year of forever off after Rio). I couldn’t help but think of Rebecca Bross when I heard this news. I just think it’s so early in her career to be going pro, and especially dumb now that she’s not competing AA in Rio. I hope she stays injury free the next 4 years!

A scary injury occur in men qualification. A French vaulter bend his leg into L shape on his poor landing. 😵

Well, it’s Leyva really proved it was mistake to initially leave him off the team. He’s qualified near the top for PB and HB, and already potential medalists on HB have already fallen (Uchimura, Brettschreinder).
The only other real medal hope, Dalton, touched that mat on his second vault, so it’s unlikely he’ll appear in the final. Floor is going to be tough based on just sub division 1 scores, so he may not get into that final either.
Whittenburg should have been on this team.

Dalton’s floor was georgeous. Hope he makes it.
Sam is looking great for AA.
August 7, 2016 at 2:40 AM
Sam won’t medal aa, sorry, and Leyva might have.
August 7, 2016 at 2:42 AM
Just as I said it, Sam messed up on pommels. Brooks off on pommels too. Leyva def should have been doing AA.

Haven’t seen the floor from USA yet, I left work around three

It was a mistake not to let him compete AA over brooks

I am pissed off with the judge scoring on Kenzo’s floor. It is ridiculous that he may not be able to advance to final without major mistake.
August 7, 2016 at 3:53 AM
I think Kenzo should be a little higher but he had two major errors: giant bounce oob after the triple twisting double and a lack of coordination on the handstand.

Article from Boston.com that proves Marta forced Aly to do AA at Classics but not Gabby.
August 7, 2016 at 6:19 AM
I kind of had a feeling that was the case. Why her but not others, but it served her well..ugh this is why she will be rightfully entering the AA final tomorrow
