This is Us is pretty good. I didn’t realize that was her daughter–and I’ve seen the entire season. I just watch it for Milo (who plays Jack) lol. Wasn’t McNamara into acting when she was young too?

Laurie needs glasses. For her to even think that dress was cute means she either wants attention by dressing like an idiot or she is blind. I didn’t love Aly’s sailor dress ( I mean what was the strawberry for) but it at least wasn’t horrid (It would have been cute without the strawberry) I guess we should be happy overall they dress better lately than the 08 crew

I will never understand the Milo love. He’s gross and when he played Jesse I HATED HIM but the few episodes I saw of this show he did a pretty good job acting ( the scenes with the kids. The younger kids. I have never seen an episode where the kids were older) Rory was a whore.lol

Alexis was never that great an actor but the Emmy nods this year are kind of bad. I mean they gave Keri Russell a nod and she literally can’t act. Never could. Milo does a decent job on This Is Us but he was horrible on the Gilmore girls. All he did was scream and call it acting but I will admit he has gotten a lot better

Another Emmy nomination for Robin Wright. I literally can’t stand her acting. Plus no Emmy for Kerry Washington. No to mention, I wanted Lauren Graham to get one. Hopefully Viola wins.

Viola is an amazing actress tho I don’t watch her show but every movie I have ever seen her in she was amazing. Not a big Washington fan but the Emmy’s need to go. What a waste of an award show.
I loved stranger things and am so thrilled the sheriff guy got a nod because I thought he was great but as good of a job as the little girl did the 4 little boys were just as amazing and it’s not fair she gets the nomination when all 4 were just as good.

They have Paseka for vault and Spiri for bars if they want. Seda is in Gymsberia, but I haven’t seen anything saying she is injuried, so she is elegible. I think they would send Eremina and Melnikova as AAers and then pick specialists, Paseka being probably one of them. as Spiri is probably vanished in Gymsberia. The problem is that their specialists are one-event only, so they can’t even do two or three properly for a team final, but it is a problem for future Worlds. This year is only individual competition, so they can send just two AAers and use Paseka and Spiri as specialists or take Shelgunova or Skypnik as new girl for experience. In any case, Komova seems on the mend and Kharenkova and Alla too. Then they have Kapitonova, Shelgunova and Skrypnik, who are not ideal options, but if they are in a problem, can do a decent work. So they have options if they fix their problems with consistency. The problem will come when they need a team, because they have problems to have high scores on some apparatus, specially floor. But for this year, they are somewhat good.

Alla has been injuried for the longest time, but competed at the last Russian Cup, at least on vault and floor (not huge scores, but she was on the mend): https://thegymter.net/2017/03/01/2017-russian-championships-results/. Ilanchik20 have said in another commentary that she is off to Georgia, so I don’t know what to think anymore. Russia does let those gymnasts that they felt doesn’t have any chance in their teams go, specially if they go to late Soviet Republics, so in itself isn’t super strange, but Alla showed real talent for the AA, something that Russia is lacking nowadays, so I though they would try to bring her back to form. I am surprised by the Georgia thing.

Nabs again! Yay! If Valentina takes Nabieva to the Worlds after all the shit she has said about her, I am going to enjoy them more than I thought I would. Russia is in some shit, but not in the same way as Romania. Russia still has gymnasts with good difficulty and chances in some apparatuses. They have serious consistency issues, but they have several girls with potential, like Eremina o Melnikova, and Komova and Kharenkova are on the mend. Romania’s problems are different. The day Lari and Cata retire, they are dead, as the younger ones doesn’t even have scores significative enough to even dream to reach a final. In fact, in the Europeans, if there wasn’t for the two per country rule, they wouldn’t have been in the AA final, and that means that, without Lari, they won’t even smell it at Worlds. Russia is not yet at that level of disaster, but they have to implement some changes to avoid it in the future. With Nabs, maybe what Valentina is seeking is consistency and experience for the team, but the fact that she is training doesn’t mean that she has chances to be at Worlds (but that would be soooo cool).

After a 10 year battle with eating disorders I rarely comment on the weight of others, but I have yet to see a single recent photo where she looks even remotely close to competition form. These photos were taken only 2-3 months ago. Her history of crash dieting is terrible for her performance. I have no confidence she will make this team. She either isn’t giving training 100% or she’s self sabatoging with her diet. I would love to see her come back with some joy in her skating but if she’s not happy she should retire.

Classics roster is out. No Flatley but I expected that after her being absent from camp, I really don’t think we’ll ever see her compete elite again as she’s had such bad luck with injuries. Everyone else expected is there. I’m excited to see Laney Madsen finally and Morgan Hurd and Deanne Sosa as seniors.

Canada has announced its team for Worlds: Ellie Black, Brooklyn Moors, Shallon Olsen; Isabella Onyshko (Brittany Rogers as reserve). Someone else thinks that Ellie Black has some opportunities to reach the podium this year?

I think depending how Ellie looks this year, she prob has a chance in AA and vault. Her beam is also good when she hits. USA isn’t as strong at the moment (with Regan being their top AA’er). It’s a possibility.
Olson will prob make vault finals.
Moors may make Floor. Since it’s individual finals, they r pretty good team.
I’m a bit shocked Britt didn’t make but I think it’s because her events better covered by others. She is S gymnsst you take for a team Worlds.

I really liked her. I think she had great technique and that beam. She was like mini Shawn but with better lines. It’s too bad we never saw her as a senior. But hey, she is going to UCLA–she’ll fit right in.
