Hey…. Sloan won NCAA AA out of session One….. and the top 6 teams all competed well, though I think Sarah Patterson held back Guttierez and Sledge on Vault because she didnt need their scores. That will be interesting to see who warms up for Bama tomorrow
Thoughts on Paseka’s bronze on bars? I thought she was a little sloppy but if she cleans it up some and adds difficulty she has potential on bars. I hope she will stick to competing the DTY until she can do an Amanar safely with better form or if she can’t get the Amanar maybe she could try something like a Rudi. If she cleaned up her form (giant leg separation and helicopter legs) she might actually be able to get the Amanar around.
Deserved, unfortunately Scheder took a big deduction on a handstand so couldn’t medal. Paseka has some nice composition I think. So unfortunate both Brits fell but I really like that podium, so great to see Adlerteg take Sweden’s first gymnastics medal in more than 50 years.
Paseka and overscoring go hand in hand. Don’t get the love.
On a similar note, Llomoncia Hall’s NCAA floor is so overrated. Tumbling is great but the dancing is Fly Girl meets the Robot. Crotch flying around with stiff arm thrusts. I don’t get it. Who can help me here?
Mrs Caquatto has to be the nicest person ever. Saying that about Bridgey who’s season was unfortunate with the injury she is coming back from, and who came up BIG HUGE even on Florida with that floor routine.
Many people felt Bridget was overscored but I haven’t seen tue footage of the meet yet to see if this was ok. Either way from what I read she rocked it and wasnt a headcase.
Sanity Ive never seen Bridget more happy than competing at this natl championships. Not a bad resume Olympian,World AA champ, now NCAA AA champ.
This is why elite Gymnast should not pro unless they make an Olympic team imo and even then unless its guaranteed that you will make tons of money why bother. Nothing beats a 4 year scholarship to a top school. I get that most elites are not cut out for college gymnastics
All hail NastiaFan, nobody outside of the US could watch on ESPN. I got so annoyed when clicking the link when it was live and seeing it redirect to a crappy not-gymnastics page. I wanted to see Danusia’s transverse aerial damnit!
There will be no hailing that idiot at this blog.lol Nice he has no life because he is a fucking idiot that he has all this time to spend putting everything online but oh well.

I just read that Florida won!!!! Is anyone watching the live feed?
April 21, 2013 at 1:47 AM |
Watched it start to finish. Florida choked on 1st rotation and had to count a fall! They came back basically perfect to win.
Sloan won AA last night!
The standings:
FL
Oklahoma
Alabama (thought Priess was overscored)
UCLA
LSU
Georgia

She seems to be hanging out with Florida which I find very interesting. I wish she would go some place other than the UCLA or Florida. Maybe Oklahoma
