I haven’t heard anything otherwise but she has been on the tour so I don’t know if she will retire, stay at WOGA, or switch gyms. I personally think it would help her if she switched gyms
I would really like her to rest and recoup and then show up at Nats next year and be all like, “Surprise motherf*ckers!” and do awesome. Maybe that’s just me. I was never a huge fan of her gymnastics, but my heart went out to her this year. She had a rough time.
Seriously I would be delighted if this occurred. Watching her on Tour just confirmed for me what I suspected all along: a lot of her problem this year has been mental. People were saying she was physically burned out, but she never looked that way to me. She seemed she was cracking under the pressure.
Like Mim said, I hope she’s had a chance to mature, heal and grow, and I think that if she has done those things, she still has a few good years left in her, especially while we go through the beginning of the quad rebuilding process. There’s room on a new squad for an experienced vet, and the FF will probably still be riding the fame train, and therefore to busy to train.
Whatever happens, I hope that whenever she leaves the sport she can do it on her terms, with no regrets. #brossisboss
i agree! she looks great… relaxed, confident,
and a lot more grown up some how. away from the pressure of trials and time to heal from her heartbreak, she has a much more mature and calm disposition compared 6 months ago! i feel like she didn’t let trials break her and going on tour helped her chill
and have fun, and it shows in her gymnastics!
didnt love her gymnastics but i hope she does what makes her happy, shame she can’t compete in colllege. if she was to continue with elite and give the big meets another crack next year and do well, id be happy for her!
She’s put on a little weight but you know what she looks good and I want tue jacket she was wearing. Its nice to see her enjoying herself and showing some personality.
I alas saw on YouTube ponor and dregulescus Floor dance. Muy caliente. Although the gymnast doing the gangnam style at the end was a little painful to watch.
Please don`t, ”leave it there” I can`t be the only one that finds Rebecca Bross to be one of the worst gymnasts of all time? Two AA medals while falling. Any other code and she would have maybe three medals, she might not have even made those world medals because in any other code her inconsistency would have left her off those teams. I don’t get why anyone finds her gymnastics appealing.
;_; Is it wrong that I kind of wish they weren’t supporting Shawn so publicly? It’s not that i hate her, I just dislike the desperate attention seeker she’s become. And since they’re what’s “hot” in the gym scene right now, them showing up to cheer her on is just enabling her lol.
I mean on the other hand, way to go for supporting a fellow gymnast, but Shawn needs a bit of a reality check. She always makes me a little sad, because it’s almost like present Shawn and Beijing Shawn are two different girls, and I don’t want that to happen to the FF.
Its actually pretty genius of Shawn to wait until the most important week to have the girls on the show (even if they were just on as guests sitting in the audience.) the fierce five popularity is far more relevant than shawns is currently. having gabby, jo, aly and mckayla tweet in support of shawn reaches a broader audience then just shawn tweeting.
At least Shawn is able to seek the attention out of the gymnastics field so I don’t mind she gets some achievement in entertainment world. Fierce 5 can also get attention from guest of DWTS finale. It’s a win-win situation.
Much better than a certain Russian whose bitchy face usually appears on almost every gym competitions each year.
I agree about Hollywood Shawn but her reality check will come once this show is over. As for Bross I don’t know about returning to elite but if she can piss Marta off I’m all for it.
I couldn’t imagine Nastia showing her face to DWTS to cheer on Shawn. She’s probably laughing at Fierce Five and telling them she can’t believe they’d have to succumb to something “soooo underneath them.”
If Nastia had made the London team and then was forced to cheer on Shawn at DWTS then maybe, just maybe, it’d be really funny to see just that. But everything else about it would not be funny at all.

But…she’ll never be able to sell me on that supposedly “sexy” beginning to that beam routine. Ugh.

I kind of feel the same. Beijing Shawn appeared to be a sweet, genuine person. DWTS Shawn seems a little…Hollywood.
