The beam scoring needs to be investigated by the BAU. I want someone to justify Jade’s score. Just even try and justify it. They gave Shilese only .50 better in execution. they both got credit for a 5.4. If blatant cheating is allowed then I am done watching this sport.
On the women’s side, Carey will take on vault and balance beam. Chiles is set to compete on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise, and Jones will tackle uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
So basically prelims is at 8 am on a Saturday (Not for me) for woman.
World Cup assignments will be decided.
USAG never seems to learn. Jade getting a 9.400 in execution for a DTY (5.0 start value so that is just my guess) because she was beaten on Floor by Jordan and Shilese AND Nola just to have an excuse to send her when she clearly didn’t deserve it. Jordan doesn’t seem to score this well with real judges and they have no problem over scoring her in the US. I just realized Leanne didn’t even bother with this. I feel like a 4th gymnast was supposed to be sent to these World Cups but I am damned if I remember. Jung, Fatta, and Jung-Ruivivar will be going to the Szombathely World Challenge Cup September 30 – October 2. They have also been added to the national team. Meanwhile Leanne has not. Shilese only did bars, beam and floor. Not calculated at all to keep her out of the AA rankings. Jade only got a 12.666 on floor. Knowing the US judges she must have fallen or OOB the crap out of everything. Konnor also didn’t bother with this meet. Smart of both her and Leanne.
The article is passive aggressive with these words. “With Jones only showing three of four apparatus, Jong (52.665), Fatta (52.465) and Jung-Ruivivar (52.532) posted the third-, fourth- and fifth-highest all-around scores” Way to discount them but not mention how it helped Jade. AND, If Jade did fall they gave her a 8.566 execution on floor to further fix the results. And you think things have changed.

I agree. I like Shilese. I love Leanne and I see positives in Konnor though the scoring she gets drives me bonkers but USAG only cares about artistry when it suits them.
It’s like gymnerd said. The gymnasts today even as people are annoying. I suspected Dawes was a bitch but I didn’t learn it was a fact til the internet. It’s not about the gymnastics anymore. NCAA judging is literally based on internet followers. It should concern real fans

I totally agree but they aren’t in charge yet. Allegedly they won’t decide the world team either.
I still say that Alicia is Valeri’s puppet. He’s in control and she is a literally the puppet behind the clown.
That fact that Liang planned on hiring him AGAIN but was outed means no one can be trusted.
USAG should have been disbanded and recreated.

Shilese Jones will not compete on bars, and Jade will not compete on Floor.
I know Jade is the Olympic champ but with the new rules why aren’t they putting her on Floor to see how she scores internationally in this code? I wanted to see if she was going to get the artistry deductions she should have been getting for years. And Shilese’s one good event is bars and she isn’t competing those?

And for things like this I don’t want Romania to win or even qualify for anything. It is not for the girls, but this federation have very serious issues and it can’t be allowed to go on. And, as long as they win something, they will be allowed to continue. Only a long string of looses can, maybe, spark some change. And they will use any medal or final they can get as an excuse to still be the same.

The original poster deleted it. It says that Amalia Puflea threatened suicide if she was not taken out from Deva, and her mother went to her. There were complains of the new seniors for quite some time (her mother testimony talks about beatings), and she also said that Shakira was in a bad place (although she did not elaborate):

So they are torturing the only gymnast they have that can actually win medals? That is very illogical of them. If this is true and not just teenage angst I am so proud of this child for speaking up. Good for her (And just for the record since people are stupid I am not saying she is lying. I just have teenagers in my life who are over dramatic about everything, and I just want to make sure they don’t convict people before they deserve to be raked over coals.

It was just for the record, dear. The new Romanian are not so known yet. But it is legit, as she is gone from Deva, and it piles up with the complains of other gymnasts, with the question of Voinea’s mother taking her away no so long ago and having a row with the Federation, and they doing dangerous stuff to them like sending her to Europeans injuried and forcing one of them to do a floor routine she hadn’t had practice for more than a year. That people are nuts and shouldn’t be in contact with and even less, responsible of children.

While we had a slow connection on beam but other wise had the best routine of her life and they gave her and Jade practically the same score . The only video of Jade I saw was partial and she bobbled and cheated her leaps. Are the judges blind?

Who is Jade Carey screwing to get these balance beam scores ? If the World Championship judges score her this way, she could win an All-Around medal . Shilese Jones’s inconsistency is a decent sized issue . The judges scored her accordingly compared to Jade at this competition.

People like Jade and she’s American so no one cares how overscored she is being. Jade is scored better outside the Country on beam and bars, then she is in the US (Which is unheard of)
The interesting thing I saw was Jade getting the same execution scores as Chiles on vault. Add that to her beam scores and gymnastics apparently wants ugly gymnastics to win.

There is something going on on Russia (understantment of the century, to be honest), because that lovely person who had a Twitter account devoted to their videos had uploaded a lot. It has to be the internal competition that comes usually before the Worlds. They usually do two, one before Europeans and one before Worlds, Russian Cup and Russian Championships and I always forget which is which. I think Championships, but I might be wrong.
