US National team needs a stylist

April 25, 2012

Hear me Marta? Hire someone to dress these girls because every single one of them looks like they got dressed in the dark.

Sabrina dear, Why are you dressing like your grandmother? Is Nastia giving you advice on what to wear?

Mckayla Dear, Not sure what that outfit is or that attitude. Watch the video about who is the best dressed. Listen to her answer. Listen to everyone laugh and then watch the look on her face. She was serious and she didn’t understand why anyone was laughing. HI-LAAAARious.

VIDEO is here

There are others if you look around the site but they were boring. Guess which video I didn’t watch:)

I think I might like Anna Li. Don’t wait to read that comment because I will probably change my mind if you do:) She seems sweet but this does NOT change my opinion on her gymnastics.

Here is Shawn talking about her beam routine.
Watch Nastia in the background with the bitch face on, crossing her arms.lol

Do I even need to comment on her dress?

Babies Galore,

AWW, Baby Kyla

Look even baby Rebecca was cute and we almost made it through all the pictures without having to look at Nastia.

Baby Aly

Baby Gabby

When you are wrong you have to admit it and I was wrong. The 2011 World Champs are from the United States.

When this team was named everyone thought it was a bit off and technically that is still 100% true. That was before we found out Sabrina Vega was on the team and Gabby was the alternate. In the end it would have made no difference.

The girls did a great job. Aly was the team leader and they went 12 for 12 in finals.

The 5 girls above won and can now be called world champs even if seven girls will get medals make no mistake about it, these are the girls that won it.

Congrats to Aly, Jordyn, Gabby, Sabrina and Mckayla. You other two enjoy your gifts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mckayla did a great job in teams final hitting her floor and vault. She did a much better job in team finals than she did in prelims and this is huge for her chance for next years Olympic team.
The one name every gym fan keeps trying to eliminate for next years Olympic team is Aly Raisman. Sorry haters but if Aly stays healthy this worlds so far has moved her into the lock position for next years Olympic team.
Sabrina Vega did a good job at this worlds. She stayed on which is huge for her. She was the biggest surprise of this meet.
Gabby Douglas, congrats for your one team final routine. The fact the US had to use Sabrina for an event in team finals does not bode well for you next year. One event gymnasts need to score better than 14.7 even if they made the event final on this event)
(Oh come on. You didn’t expect me to be nice to everyone did you:)
Jordyn, What else can you say? This team medal is yours. 3 of the 4 routines you did in team finals were the highest scores the US received. If anyone deserves this medal it’s you.
~~~~~~~~~~~

I won’t be here tomorrow. After work I am going out. Good luck to the US men except the fairy:)

USA-gymnastics’ Clusterfuck

October 6, 2011

Before I start my blog about Alicia’s injury I have to give credit to Julia for the word Clusterfuck. It was too awesome a word not to use as the title for this blog. Julia made the comment on this blog I wrote a different day.

Second I want to give credit to exgymgurl for noticing that Shawn Johnson was not on twitter for two days. Elitegymnast wrote a blog about it and gave me credit so I want the credit to be given to my best poster, exgymgurl.

Okay back to Alicia. She injured herself on floor during some practice. Something to her Achilles. USA-gymnastics is keeping everything quiet.

I honestly don’t think losing Alicia is a big deal. The fact is Sabrina and Gabby need to step up and do their job. They are here for a reason. A reason none of us can figure out. A reason only inside Marta’s clusterfucked-up mind. A reason I don’t think I will ever understand but a reason none the less.

When all was said and done the only event Alicia was really going to be used for in team finals was vault. Maybe beam depending on how everyone did in prelims. Everyone claims she is a leader but the fact is she can still lead. She just can’t compete.

I will never celebrate Alicia’s injury but one thing I am happy about is she now won’t be the US gymnast with the most medals at Worlds. She will stayed tied with the troll and Shannon Miller. Than again, you never know if they will still consider her part of the team and give her a medal. I don’t know the rules on this.

I do feel a little bit bad for Alicia but then I don’t. Alicia spends more time in Denver with her third string boyfriend then she spends training and it caught up to her.

This should be a lesson to Marta. You cannot take a one event gymnast to worlds. It’s stupid and irresponsible. Now the US has to count on a team full of gymnasts that have never competed under this pressure.
Aly was at worlds last year but she apparently is injured too.

Perhaps my last and biggest complaint is the whereabouts of Shawn Johnson. I don’t follow her on twitter so the news about her being gone for two days was huge. The info about Anna being hurt was known by this time so the whole world speculated that she was on her way to Japan. So far that doesn’t seem to be true. I mean common sense is not Marta’s strong point but knowing how she likes to kill gymnasts how clusterfucked was her mind not to have Shawn near by?

You do realize we have to count on Sabrina Vega for bars and Gabby Douglas for beam in prelims. God help us that Gabby actually hits and Marta put her in team finals. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

Shawn should be in Japan and she should be competing. If you ask me she should have been the real alternate ahead of Sabrina who just really has no place on this team even if she does hit.

Today has been an exhausting day and I have almost been in tears several times but nothing can get me down today because it’s banner night baby and even though I am extremely bitter that I can’t be there in person (tickets sold out in 3 damn minutes) I am celebrating.

(will insert picture here after 7.30 pm:)

Oh look, the long awaited banner:)

The only thing better than a Stanley cup is a Yankee loss. Ahaha. Well not better but still so good, so good, so good, so good.

Camp fall down

September 8, 2011

The last day of camp was a lot of fun according to Aunt Joyce. I won’t be linking him because frankly I am over blogs only in existence to get gymnasts to be friends with them but take for granted that anything I say here about camp comes from Aunt Joyce unless noted.

So Anna Li, Bridget Sloan and Macko all fell off bars. Anna was consistent in training until it mattered, then she fell. Gabby hit bars. Chellsie did not do bars. Shawn hit bars but with no upgrade.

So what does this tell us?

Chellsie Memmel not doing bars is a big mistake. If she plans on saving herself for the next camp it is going to be to late. Chellsie also fell off beam.

Anna Li hitting in practice and falling when it matters SHOULD be a wake up call. Even considering her for just bars with the way this team is at the moment will only hurt the US in the end.

Bridget Sloan is the interesting case. She fell. She fell all over the place last year and hit when it mattered. Taking a chance on her didn’t bite us in the ass last time but that was last time.

No news on anyone else.

Looks more and more like Gabby Douglas will be on this team.

Maybe a good idea will be to forget bars and just use Aly or Mckayla and build up beam and floor by taking Shawn for beam and Sabrina for floor. Shawn could do bars, beam and vault in prelims. We could see how the judges will score her on bars.

That would make the team

Jordyn, Alicia, Aly, Mckayla, Sabrina and Shawn using whoever hits best in prelims for bars. It would be the extreme gamble that might pay off in the end.

In this scenario Gabby stays home. Sabrina is as big of a head case as Gabby but she usually hits floor.

In related news Alicia has a tweet that implies she is already on the team. Her ego amazes me. I can’t wait for her to be pushed out next year on a 5 member team. Time to knock her ego down.

Nominative List for Worlds

September 7, 2011

Marta chose these gymnasts as her Nominative list for the World Team. God help us all if she uses Anna and Sabrina.

These lists don’t usually mean anything. Lets hope so.

Anna Li for one event = useless. That would mean Alicia, Aly and Jordyn on beam. And Mckayla on floor.

The one name missing from this list is the most interesting, Chellsie Memmel.

Cringe worthy fluff

March 10, 2011

The new a t & t is out. At least I think it is new. I had never seen it.

All I can say is God help the USA. These girls look up to Carly Patterson, Nastia Liukin, Alicia Sacramone and Mary Lou Retton. We even get a token Dominique Dawes answer from the little black girl. I must admit of all of them Sabrina and Gabriella at least sound sincere if albeit 6.

If we create a gymnast out of the 4 most mentioned names above we come up with a robot overrated icon of the 80’s that can’t keep their legs together on cast to handstands two event gymnast choker that can’t even stand up those 2 events. (make no mistake Alicia is a two event gymnast but I can’t make fun of her vaulting)

Yep and as Sarah would say “so now we know who to blame.”
