2022 Winter Olympics Figure Skating Results. Kamila Valieva allowed to skate. Message sent

The Winter Cup isn’t until the end of the month and we need a new blog. Speaking of which Skinner and the annoying guy will be there promoting the event. The article makes it seem like it will be them shooting T-shirts out of a gun-like type of thing.

[Full Results] [Schedule]

[LP Results only] [ Judges protocols] [Full Ladies results] [LP Judges]

Okay well, I had a late day at work and woke up to the results. (For me that is 8 am) Kamila fell apart. Shcherbakova who everyone thought should stay home won, Trusova who threw a hissy fit after not inning gold “Everyone won gold but me” and Sakamoto was third. Alysa was 7th (lower PCS), Mariah 10th, and Karen down in 16th. And we got a medal ceremony. I can feel bad for Kamila but only a little. She pretty much quit, which Eteri told her after she performed and people think she is mean for doing it. The truth is she did quit. I find it hard to believe that all Russians weren’t doping seeing they have the same coach but at least the girls got a medal ceremony.

(I won’t be following dance or pairs. Results will be below)

Ladies SP: Start Lists [SP Results][Judges protocol] [SP Judges names]

] I was working so I didn’t see anything yet but I read. Alysa was clean and only finished 8th? Kamila had multiple mistakes, cheated jumps, all called fully rotated, still leads with a ridiculous score. Karen and Mariah both fell. I didn’t have to even know skating was on to tell you this would happen. Someone needs to investigate. I also read that Johnny and Tara did not call out the cheating judges during the broadcast? There is no integrity anywhere. Mariah would have been around 70 and in this, if she didn’t fall. Triple lutz/triple toe is worth with plus GOE about 11 points and she got 6. Add 5 and she is in this. Okay, maybe not in this but top 6. AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, The judges consistently all cheated for Kamila. This panel is the issue. We will see if I watch tonight. Not sure I even want to.

SkatingScores has a breakdown by judge. US judge in favor of Russia? WOW.

So Kamila Valieva will be allowed to skate even though she tested positive for a banned drug in December. A drug that makes you stronger. The biggest issue here for me is that she was allowed to come to the Olympics at all. Forget skating in the SP. Everyone knew and no one stopped this from even being an issue before she got on the plane? I am sick of hearing she’s 15. I don’t give a shit. The chance that she took the drug on her own is next to none but she still tested positive. It’s irrelevant. The ONLY play that should have been made here is she should have never been allowed in China at all. I do feel for Kamila, she’s a kid and like I said above, the chance she took it or even knew she took it is probably at 10% but the rest of the ladies competing deserve a chance at winning the gold medal on a clean level and I am not sure why Kamila’s happiness trumps fair sport. And don’t get me started on NO medal ceremony. These girls all worked their butts off to get here. What a slap in the face.

My comments are in the comment section. Congrats to Nathan. He deserved to win but these judges need more training. Judge 1 from the SP was judge 9 tonight. Still higher than others. And her Brown scoring was worse. Just watch the details, look at mistakes, and then plus GEO. If you mess up a jump/skill judges should not be giving you plus GEO. This is how judges should be disciplined )

  1. Chen [Video] 2. Kagiyama [Video] 3. Shoma Uno [Video] 4. Hanyu [Video] 5. Junhwan 6. Brown [Video] 7. Grassel.

The big news today was that Russian star was the one who tested positive which is why the team event medals were not given out. Of course, as always the US seems to benefit from these things. Since it has not been announced (Though she has not practiced since) names stay off until because you know, disclaimer. Trimetazidine is used to gain strength which is why she can quad and triple axel. She’s 15 so likely this was given to her by Eteri her coach. I just don’t know how stupid they could be to do this. Regardless, someone has to pay. And, I read on Twitter (So it must be true) that US wins all tie breaks but one, (Ice dance team who tested positive) which means stupid Mariah, and stupid Alysa who didn’t do team events lose out on a gold medal. Hey Vincent, you get gold now. Maybe. Lawers are involved.

Just got done watching the top men’s SP and Nathan Chen is the most overscored skater since Sasha Splat. (copyright) That was a world record? And don’t get me started on PCS. I don’t get these judges. There is no quality to Nathan when it comes to artistry. They continue to overscore him for quality skating he just doesn’t possess. If you want to use the word presentation, fine, but go watch the beauty that is Shoma Uno and then explain to me how Nathans interpretation scores are even close. Nathan’s jumps weren’t that clean either. He landed one of his jumps on the ice and had barely any flow out of it. And since when is moving your arms a transition into a jump? That’s all he does. Gutted for Hanyu because he doesn’t have a chance to really win the third gold medal but I can see them over PCSing him to get him on the podium. . Kagiyama is a great jumper but I wasn’t feeling his SP either. I KNOW, I am critical but I am just done with judges. #JudgesBeEvil Uno put his hand down or he probably would have been somewhere around his teammate but that just clarifies the bad judging to me. So if Hanyu hit the quad Salchow is worth 9.7 so if he got the Plus GOE like, Yuma received, that would have added a 13.75 to his point total I believe. Which would have only put him at 110 something. The quad Lutz / triple toe that Nathan landed with no flow got plus 4 from most judges. Fix was in already. CHEN GOT A 1O FOR INTERPRETATION OF THE MUSIC. I want to hear anyone defend that. Judge 1 needs to lose their job. I KNOW I saved a list of the skating judges but now I can’t find it. Judge 1, went over on everything for Nathan when everyone else was consistent. SS: 9.75 9.25 9.50 9.75 9.50 9.75 9.50 9.50 9.50 Transitions: 9.75 9.25 9.25 9.50 9.50 9.50 9.25 9.00 9.50 Performance: 10.00 9.50 9.75 10.00 9.50 9.75 9.50 9.50 10.00 Judge 1 and judge 3 are suspect, mostly judge one. Judge 3 also lowballed Shoma Uno.. And go loom at judge 1 low ball, Hanyu on things he even did well. 9.25 for interpretation of music? I’ll admit I don’t think Hanyu is the great artist others do but that was low. Judge 5 gave Hanyu an 8.75 for performance.

Team Event:

Okay, so I need to look for the results page and will eventually. Team event was won by ROC(Russia) USA was second and, Japan was third. DAISUKE TAKAHASHI COULD HAVE BEEN A TWO TIME Olympic medalist in different disciplines. Damn you Japan. ANYWAY!

  1. HartofDixie Says:

The team medal ceremony was supposed to be yesterday but now been delayed due to a positive drug test of one of the Russian skaters.

  2. gymtruthteller Says:

I’m trying to decide if I want to even watch the men’s LP. Though I should because Johnny and Tara being so far up Russia’s ass, it should be fun to see them find out that their golden girl Is a cheat

    • HartofDixie Says:

I’ve been watching skating on the Peacock app no commentary.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I am so jealous. No commentators must be heaven. They weren’t too bad tonight except they refuse to point out mistakes for Chen.

I don’t hate Chen I just hate the judges that don’t care about fairness. Now tonight he deserved to win. Hands down. Kagiyama isn’t really the complete skater the people pretend and Shoma was a mess at times and Hanyu tried that damn quad axel he can’t hit and fell on two quads and the short of course.

Is it too much to ask for fairness?

Who do we have winning gold now that Kamila is probably out? It will be interesting to see if she tests negative if they will let her continue skating.

I posted an article about the drug she tested positive for. It helps make you stronger when used, not for it’s intent.

It’s a shame because she is only 15. This is on Eteri.

Trusova needs to get her act together. i am more annoyed at who isn’t here than who is.

Still cannot believe that Mariah didn’t do the team competition after being National champ. She is going to miss out on a gold medal. A medal at all. Alysa was at least “sick” a few weeks ago. I guess it’s a good thing. Imagine Adam’s ego if she did win gold.

      • HartofDixie Says:

Not sure what made the US choose Karen over Mariah and K/F over C/L. I remember seeing on twitter Mariah had been training during the team event times and was surprised it was Karen. I’m sure politics with the coaches factored in.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I read before that the person who won Nationals got to choose. Mariah should have done the SP.

  3. gymtruthteller Says:

Hart of Dixie. I saw Grace’s ten. She had some feet movement but nothing like her usual leg separation. That was pretty close to a ten. Even the handstands looked good. I watched it at the BBS. He also has up Jade getting a 9.975 on floor and the screen shows the leg form issue. College gym ten

    • HartofDixie Says:

I’m so happy for Grace. I’ve noticed on gym twitter they are still hating on her saying she’s overscored, was overscored to make the olympic team etc…

      • gymtruthteller Says:

US fans are insufferable especially Gymnastics and Skating fans. Remember they hated Aly all the time before her first Olympics. I used to use this blog to argue with people all the time who said she had no shot to make the team. I don’t understand how anyone can dislike Grace. Have an issue with her gymnastics fine, but Grace just comes across as the nicest person on the planet. I’ll never forget her reaction to Jade’s ridiculous UB score. She was way more excited than Jade was.

Nathan Chen fans are worse than Hanyu fans. Hanyu fans are crazy at times but Nathan fans still refuse to acknowledge that he is all jumps and no quality. (I actually like his spins too, he’s pretty fast) It just drives me nuts.

As bad as I feel for Hanyu it is really nice to see Shoma finally get some love. 3 Olympics in a row medaling in this sport when you’re not the favorite is amazing.

  4. gymtruthteller Says:

So I have decided to watch the men. I figured online wouldn’t have the early rounds but they did. At least some. I saw the Russian guy walk through his performance and the French guy fall through his.
I will say, people, love the jumps. I much prefer the straight-line foot sequence. Italy is next.. Matteo Rizzo Fell, got stuck in the boards. This ice rink is a menace. Hanyu was screwed by a hole.

I’ll be back for the last two groups to talk to myself 🙂

3rd group is up next. After ice clean.

No fans are allowed in but basically rich people and dignitaries.

    GROUP 3
    – Daniel Grassl ITA ( I didn’t see him. Not sure he was shown)

    – Boyang Jin CHN (Kwan music. Huge quads, Quad Lutz so clean. everything looked clean. Had some scratchy landings on his triples and one, the triple flip was downgraded.) 179.49 for the free skate. 278 something for the total. Into 2nd

    – Kevin Aymoz FRA (Fall on the quad toe. Wasn’t liked by the judges. The GOE was under a point on everything he did. Liked the music during the middle but wasn’t his night)

    – Keegan Messing CAN (Great job by Keegan. He messed up his triple flip and doubled a second quad but he’s had a shit journey to this Olympics so it was nice to see him skate as well as he did. Sucks he might miss out on a team medal. )

That commercial about planning your death to avoid the play was funny 🙂

Hanyu ( Poor kid. Tried the quad axel, fell. Fell on his next quad. Her some very pretty triples but some messy ones too. His PCS were times 3 plus on a lot of what he did but no way that wins. He had a quad that I thought was a triple. It was really well done)
    188 something for the free.

    Jackie Wongs take

    4A(ur,fall), 4S(fall), 3A2T, 3F, 4T3T(q?), 4T1Eu3S, 3A
    TES 99.62, PCS 90.44, -2.00, FS 188.06, TOTAL 283.21 into 1st

You know where you can shove these Manning commercials)

    283.21 into first…

    – Evgeni Semenenko ROC

Judges are judging quads with higher PCS over triples. That is cheating.

(Hand down the quad toe. Nice quad sal. Quad toe/triple toe..
Had some nice moments. Loved his music in the second half. This was the first performance I kind of liked. He had some issues with messy jumps.

MICHELLE KWAN MENTION! Way to win me over Chen. 🙂 Kwan paved the way for everyone, not just Asian-Americans.

    Jackie Wong’s take..
4T(hand,ftdwn), 4S, 4T3T, 3F(hangs on)2T(hangs on), 3A1Eu3S, 3A(hangs on), 3Lo – after an injury earlier in the season and getting the substitute call for the Olympics, Semenenko puts down one of the best of his season

After the first 3 groups (From Jackie wong’s twitter)

    17. Ivan Shmuratko UKR – 205.76 (57.17, 71.48, -1.00, 127.65)

  5. gymtruthteller Says:

Brian, Scott and Even praising Chen like he’s already won. WTF are you wearing, Weir? Tara’s outfit would be great with a blazer for work but on TV? I wonder how she likes the Kwan commercial 🙂

    GROUP 4

    – Jason Brown USA ( Nicely done. Scratchy double axel. No quads but he was getting plus 2 and over for his triples. No one else was being given those even when hit. I am actually glad he didn’t throw a quad he knew he couldn’t hit. My issue is why he’s allowed a triple-double but it wasn’t good enough for Kwan ten years.:) Excuse me, 15 years ago. I guess he popped a triple sal but I must have been typing) I was kind of bored with this long. 281.24

I am afraid with Hanyu still in for a medal the other Japanese guys are gonna get screwed.

    – Morisi Kvitelashvili GEO ( Awesome last name. Tall guy. The first two jumps were nice. Some messy landings. the judges didn’t like anything about him. His GOE are going to put him down in the standings.

    – Junhwan Cha KOR (Fell on his first quad. Nice next few jumps. then I got bored and slept through it. Only I can watch something and not pay attention.lol )

LET’S GO SHOMA! I need this kid. Save these medals for me.

Tara and johnny have not been that bad tonight. Of course, Nathan hasn’t skated and they are just so pro him no matter what he does he still is perfect to them.

    – Shoma Uno JPN ( URGH. Singled a triple, fell on a quad. I hate skating. Look he wasn’t perfect and had mistakes but they better not screw Shoma where his skating other wise is so beautiful) I don’t have hope.

YES! All I care is he wins a medal. iNTO FIRST.

    jACKIE: 4Lo, 4S(q?2ft), 4F(ur?fall?), 3A, 4T(turn), 4T2T, 3A1Eu1F
    TES 96.24, PCS 91.86, -1.00, FS 187.10, TOTAL 293.00 into 1st

    – Yuma Kagiyama JPN (I don’t like this guy as much as the other Japanese but he had a 104 plus when I stopped watching. One missed quad (I forget if he fell) I think I pretty much lost interest when I knew Shoma gets a medal and it wouldn’t be gold. ) 310.05 into first

    – Nathan Chen USA 9 over 2 points in PCS for a messed up jump. RIDICULOUS PCS on mistakes which means the judges cheated for him and I don’t care what anyone says, this guy is not an artist.

He’s the clear winner though but this score is just going to be outrageous. It takes away from everything when you see the judges try and cheat for him.

I will give him credit because he sold at the end of that performance. That was the first time I was excited watching him perform. And he mentioned the Kween so I can be happy for him. I just wish the judges would be called out when they give an obvious mistake a plus two, grade of execution. I am sure he wasn’t alone in getting gifts but when it’s so blatant on certain skaters it makes this sport unwatchable.

Mad props to Hanyu for being this close to winning a medal. He and Simone can commiserate on what could have been. Happy endings for the staples of the sport are just not working out at the Olympics these days.

  6. HartofDixie Says:

    Congrats to Nathan!

  7. gymtruthteller Says:

Everyone knew Kamila tested positive before the Olympics and they let her compete anyway?

This just gets better and better.

    • imperatorcarolus Says:

I don’t know very much about skating, so I won’t pass any judgement on her performance, but if she is under 16, there are very important laws in Europe to protect her and consider things like these as her guardian’s fault, as she probably is unaccountable by law for a lot of things. I don’t know how that translates to the competition, but I wanted to rise this issue, because this case can be very well judged differently than others (in resolution or/and proceedings) because of that.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I read about the age laws concerning 15 and under on twitter. Here is the thing, no, the girl is a child and has no choice but she still needs to be benched. You cannot allow cheaters to cheat and get away with it.

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

I get that, but it is probable that they go after the federation/coaches/etc more than usual, because the girl can’t be held resposible. And the politics would come to play more, because if one cheat, a federation can argue that “it was just his/her responsability, it is not our fault”, but if a minor is discovered with drug use, not only the responsibles are higher ups, but it can raise concerns about abuse, as people within the team had drugged a very minor child. They will try their best to disregard, discredit and negate this accusations, more that they would usually do.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

As far as I am concerned the rights of the other 20 plus skaters in the woman’s event who didn’t get caught cheating should take precedent over the person who tested positive for the illegal substance regardless of her culpability in the actual taking of the drug.

It’s not like they are going to arrest Kamila and put her in jail. She shouldn’t be able to skate. It’s not life and death. It’s fair play.

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

I know, it is that we are used to the different powerful federations trying to hide their shit in normal times, but they will redouble the efforts now, because if Kamila falls, Russia’s Federation could be put into the focus for doping once again and the international bodies would have a very difficult time trying to justify not banning that federation, even for a little time. And neither Russia nor the international bodies want that, so my guess is that they will try to justify these results one way on another, benching Kamila for the next competition for any reason but with Russia retaining the medal and saying that the resullts are not conclusive or some shit, so nothing happens.

  8. imperatorcarolus Says:

    • gymtruthteller Says:

I feel like the ages we have now were fine. Changing something for the sake of changing it means nothing.

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

They are not going to change anything. Most European countries won’t allow it anyway, with very strict laws for under 16. But I am curious as of why USA, who have had until recently a huge depht within its gymnastic teams, deemed this move necessary. What would have changed for USA to be able to call for the last Olympics or Worlds fifteen year old gymnasts?

      • gymtruthteller Says:

The US asked for the age rule years ago. When they had gymnasts who were younger they changed their tune.

The only reason the US has depth is because only rich kids end up in gymnastics. It wasn’t like that in the 90’s when even two parent households had issue paying for their kids sports. Shannon Miller had to go pro so she could afford to continue.

It would be interesting to find out how other countries pay for the kids to practice.

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

I can’t answer that, but in Europe most teams are national from young ages, so they are subsidized to a large degree, except for the trips unless they are on a national team. When they get into elite, the gymnasts are usually paid and provided for (more or less…in Spain I know they are given very little money). So nobody have to pay for coaches or training facilities from the moment they are on the national track, or if they do as a members of a club, is very little money. I assume that gymnasts from rich households would have a lot of advantages (better equipment, maybe private professor) but the system is very nationalized, so no private clubs or coaches to pay or something like that. When I read how much the families had to pay for a gymnast carreer to take off without any guarantee of success (because they can’t have any, of course) I thought it was all bonkers. I can’t even fanthom how someone (normal) can afford it.

  9. imperatorcarolus Says:

Never trust USAG, Valentina or Romanian Gymnastics Federation. Ever.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

My poor girl Isarescu had such potential. She was the last Romanian I liked. There are more Romanian gymnasts now then in the past. Until they get better coaches it doesn’t matter.

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

Only 9 is very little, especially taking into account that not all of them are healthy. With all the injuries they have, they could have problems to fill out a whole team for Worlds.

I am still waiting for the hopeful new seniors (not so knew for gymnastics standards anymore), but I don’t have any hope left for Romanian gymnastics until there is a heavy change in the federation, and that is not going to happen anytime soon. I am still sorry for all those that got left behind and broken by that system. I think of Golgota a lot; I liked her very, very much (the little I was able to see her).

  10. imperatorcarolus Says:

Italy’s Serie A came back this weekend. Andreoli, the new rising star of Italian gymnastics, competed and showed a lot of promise.

  11. imperatorcarolus Says:

Andreoli’s floor (still working on upgrades, but that is what practices in competition in Serie A is for):

  12. imperatorcarolus Says:

Giorgia also came back from the injury she sustained in THE STUPID NATIONALS ORGANIZED BY CASELLA TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE OLYMPICS TO GIVE SOME SORT OF PUBLIC JUSTIFICATION TO THEM CHOOSING THE TEAM THEY WANTED AND THAT CAUSED THEIR STAR TO GET INJURIED. She is not yet at the top of her game (I think she did not compete AA) but I am glad to see her up and about.

  13. imperatorcarolus Says:

Reminder that I hope that Vanessa Ferrari is still calling Casella every morning to remind him of who has the first Olympic medal in women gymnastics for Italy and reminding him that he was all about leaving her and all who wasn’t new seniors out of the sport for Italy. And I hope that someone has shouted at him about what happened to Giorgia. If Italy is not careful, they can screw over a game changing crop of seniors in two or three years and I would hate for that to happen.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

You are like a dog with a bone.lol

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

I sure am! I hope that she sends nightly whatsapps of her medal, too.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Maybe we should do that. Does he have a twitter.lol

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

I don’t think so, but if he does, we should totally do that. Once, we are supposedly very functional adults, but once every six months or so would be great. Like Julius Caesar with the slave that supposedly accompanied him on the triumphant marchs whispering in his ear: “Remember, you are a mortal too/are going to die”, we would remind Casella of what can be lost if he forgets about more senior gymnasts, needed to give depht to any team.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I feel like we could remind him every week and still be considered adults. No one said we had to be rude (rudish??)

      • imperatorcarolus Says:

No, of course, not rude, but I feel like much more than once in a month would make creepy stalkers out of us.

  14. Gymnerd Says:

Did I hear correctly tonight that they’re going to let the drug cheat skate?! I think I’m done with these Olympics.

    • monicakelly7488 Says:

You heard right, I’m over this shit. Every country should boycott.

      • Gymnerd Says:

Never going to happen, but wouldn’t it be great if all the other competitors refused to skate?

    • gymtruthteller Says:

I’ve already been done with them. I watched some mens SP and the mens LP and that is aboutit. I canmot stand Chock and bates especially Chock so no medal with them made me smile. I don’t like the Hubbels either so at least they didn’t win gold.

As for Kamila , I will blog my opinion. Right now

Pretty ring. They haven’t been together that long. Not sure this won’t be like Nastia and the hockey player. Of course the first name I see is Nastia trying to get attention. lol

People fail to realize these drugs don’t last in your system forever. Some last only a few days, some last longer some last shorter. It’s possible that she tested positive and then was told not to do it again after she was tested positive in December. The drugs life span could be short so by the time the Olympics came, it would be out of her system. If drug effects lasted forever bodybuilders would always be huge and never shrink after years of anabolic and other PED use. However I am speaking about a Russian athlete. I say the Olympics be non tested in the first place. Let’s watch these humans break ceilings in their sport. Heck, Simone competed with her adhd meds (prescription or not). People squeak through they system all the time. Only if you’re successful do people care. If you take drugs and win nothing no one cares you did drugs in the first place.

Yes but Simone had permission and she was on them her entire life. There is a big difference.

This drug helps with endurance and strength. It helped her land those quads.

It’s not fair and I don’t actually think she even knew. They probably gave it to her but it’s not fair to those who didn’t test positive.

Shcherbakova is the Olympic champion after everyone said she shouldn’t be here. She probably took same drugs but whatever . Kamila fell apart and is 4th. Trusova, second , Sakamoto is third Karma wins.

According to Jennifer Sey, the gymterhaters helped get her fired.

And for anyone who thinks this isn’t possible these same types of people tried to get Gutsu banned from facebook when she said she voted for Trump. I also bring up the GGMB people trying to break into other gymnastics fans bank accounts when they stopped participating in their website. Some of those people now judge gymnastics for College, are friends with coaches that currently coach in College, and one works with the Olympic channel after being fired from USAG when they needed to save money. Not saying they are the ones who went after Sey but using them as examples to past discretions very much in line with what happened to Sey.
This is why my first name is the only real name I use on the gymternet. And to remind you I have received e-mails from several people who were accused of being me and were threatened. This was years ago but it still happened.

I just realized we didn’t have the pairs yet. Why are pairs last? Weird. No one cares about the pairs.

    Watching some of the long…

I thought Kim Yelim was beautiful. That was a bit lowballed.

Mariah took out all difficulty and Karen fell and was uninspiring. I forgot to mention them/

Love Alysa’s Liu’s dress but she has no artistry at all. Karen and Mariah put her to shame in that area. Plus again, plus GOE for reviewed jumps/combination makes NO sense. Cheated triple axel. She’s happy. Tara trying to say she can compete with the Russians was funny.

I am listening to this during the commercial breaks and Polina Edmunds is so well spoken.

I had heard nice things about Luna Hendrickx but I wasn’t impressed. Another plus GOE for reviewed jumps. Weird music and choreography but I liked her foot line sequence (though it was slow)

    The top 6 are next.

I saw Kaori earlier today and was bored watching her. She hit but I usually love the Japanese skaters but didn’t so much this year.

You Young – Love her dress. Very slow the first half but she got faster. AGAIN, PLus GOE with reviewed jumps is bad judging. Her last spin combination was really slow. I liked the other Korean better.

Tara is babbling. I am back to, TSL. Polina is talking about Trusova’s cheated quads being 75% on the ice.

Higuchi- Again, kind of bored watching this. She was really slow, especially her spins. Tara says if this doesn’t make us fall in love with skating she doesn’t know what will. I was bored. I mean, she’s cute and smiled but I don’t get the love.

Polina agrees with me on Kim Yelim (sp) Totally underscored here.

Trusova is next – She started and ended like she cared but the rest was jumping. Her spiral was a mess. Surprised they mentioned she didn’t even try most of the “performance”

Sakamoto is next- I am going to watch with an open mind and try to not remember earlier – Exactly what I remembered. Nice jumps. They keep talking about great speed but I didn’t see it. I miss the days of Fumie and Mao.

Shcherbakova – I like the dress. In spite of her jump issue, Polina was talking about I thought that was the best performance so far. I hope she isn’t cheating. Though the jumps they just showed looked short to me. Happy for her since people were so mean the last few months about her even deserving to be here. Now I already watched the aftermath and the way she was abandoned by her coaches at the end was appalling. She’s the Olympic champ and to be treated that way is just pathetic. I actually felt bad for her.

Kamila- What a complete mess. I give her a lot of credit for continuing with that performance after the week and mess she was. How the hell did she end up 4th with that?

REALLY shit thing to put this kid through. This is the first time I actually feel bad for her.

I just want to smack team Russia for just ignoring Anna and her not even getting to celebrate her win. What a bunch of bull shit.

NBC making it all about Kamila and ignoring the rest, is just as bad.

Kaori is just so happy with bronze. Trusova throwing a temper tantrum but I actually kind of feel bad for her. NBC not pointing out what she really said. Trusova also bitched at Eteri about knowing everything.

“You knew about everything. Everything ” Trusova said pulling away from Eteri. That is completely crazy. Good for her.
