(I went through results this year and came up with who I could so if I left someone out I apologize. It was really hard considering the Chinese gymnasts are foreign to me so like I said I did the best I could.) I also realize there is a 3 per Country rule but at this point we don’t know who could make it and in the case of the US I could name 3 so I did)

Kind of reminds me of that commercial where a male gymnasts springboard fails and he catapualts straight into the judges table. I imagine it could be something like that. Also, 3-per country?? When did that happen?

3 per country? Did they change the 2 per country rule? Also, if more people continues to drop off from the Worlds, I am beginning to have a tiny little hope that Roxana Popa can reach an individual final. 🙂

And, for the record, I have read that Pavlova will go the Worlds with Azerbaiyan after her injury. I would love to see Valentina’s face if she gets a medal (in the vault final, for example) in Russia’s low moment. I know it is unlikely, but not totally farfetched. I would laugh my ass off if that happens. 🙂

where is brenna dowell? Al Fong has repeatedly blogged on how her bars is good enough for a medal. BTW a lot of people think Simone was talking about Maggie not being a non travelling alternate and that the alternate hasnt really been named.

Right now it is all speculation. So the people who think they know everything know jack shit. This has nothing to do with you personally. I am just sick of people taking speculation and spreading it around as facts when the original words state they are in deed juat that persons speculation.

I agree, I need Brenna in bars final. I saw some speculation on tumbler that Marta will take Aly out AA in Quals if Maggie and Brenna are both on the team. She better not do that. That would be ridiculous. Ugh.

She can’t do that 7 girls and one of these cannot compete regardless of Aly doing bars or not so unless it’s someone like Skinner which makes no sense I don’t know how that is possible. Someone has to be the alternate.

I think some people are speculating that if Maddie is the alternate and assuming Gabby has a decent Amanar back (which she did at camp), Marta would take Aly off vault (cause if Maddie is off the team, they have 5 amanars and a Cheng and Aly’s Amanar can be iffy). That better not happen. Ugh.

Speculation that her Amanar is decent. The idea that Aly doesn’t do bars makes no sense for Brenna to be given an opportunity but I guess weirder things have happened

FIG webpage says that Chuso is going to present a Produnova in Glasgow (http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/figNews/view?id=1339). If Chuso really does what it is insinuated here (it is an implication, because Chuso herself haven’t said such a thing), it would be huge. I don’t think she would present it if she wasn’t sure (I don’t see her attempting it to classify herself for the next Olympics in the same way Yamilet Peña does), so if she really does it, is going to be HUGE.

For someone of her age (she’s like 35 or something), I would think that she would only debut it if she was absolutely certain she could land it without seriously injuring herself. Honestly, I think it could paralyze or kill you if you landed this vault on your head or neck–I think Pena normally gets away with it because she’s younger and can spring out of it quicker. She’s always seemed like she has a good head on her shoulders and while she aims for difficulty, she also pushes for good execution. I’m excited to see if she really does compete it.

She is forty! I agree with you, I think she won’t attempt it if she isn’t sure she can land it safely. She have been a long time in the business and know the risk. But if she does it, it could be glorious! 🙂

But I so agree. IMO totally the Simone, Larisa, and Aly worlds edition. Plus possibly skinner and hong un Jong on vault, and nobody American for bars.

Yeah bar finals which is my favorite to watch is gonna be blah. Unless Daria falls the title is hers. The judges hate Shang.
Floor, vault, and maybe beam finals will be the highlight.
Of course watching Kohei earn his 6th AA title will be nice as well. That guy has nothing left to prove.
