She is always injured but it’s her life so more power to her. She won floor and finished 4th on beam with low scores and I expect her to be injured before the Olympics next year anyway but Australia doesn’t have a lot of talent at the moment so she might be needed

That sounds like a lot of work. I have become lazy. I was going to do a best vaults of all time but got lazy after looking at 2 of them. I already know who will be number 1 and 2 but everyone else blah so I thought I would do a best US vaults of all time and I never made it to watching any videos fro that one.
I don’t know I am so un motivated these days to do anything.

No, my companies fiscal year ends end of June, I found myself wondering if Shannon had actually competed at trials for both days would she have been put on the team in 2000. I think Bela karolyi didn’t like the face that she always injured out like Moceanu did.

Id replace dawes with miller and actually put Atler on the team to vault, ( because she outscored everyone else when she was on) floor and beam and take Schweikert out as well. If Elise Ray had done her job in TF on Floor and Beam the US would have medaled anyway. There is no way I would have put Morgan White anywhere near an Olympic team. They were so weak on vault. Three weeks with the Karolyis, and he could have built Atler back and just not ever made her compete bars.

I’m over discussing the code, the FIG politics and so on. Especially when in a competition lull and as I get older I realize I’m not above the drama whatsoever and even rehashing it is all good for me. Some good ones mentioned above, and in no particular order:
– Nastia vs. Johnson (so obvious they don’t get along, don’t really cheer the other on, but at least Johnson is still kinder about the interactions while botoxed ice queen is gaining enemies by the day)
– Jennie Thompson and Ashley Priess walking away from massive comps and suddenly retiring
– Shayla Worley – so overprotected with her drinking mess on the tour, shady fundraising and not returning the funds for her Olympics trip, and STILL being the star of her college team despite not being able to walk two steps without falling, score above 9.7 and STILL being in every line up week after week – why does the mean girl always win and never get punished?? Hate peeps like this
– anything to do with Atler – sorry – but in all her raw form, I loved her and she has a heart of gold, can’t help but be interested in her stories, such a naturally gifted person
– Anna Li seeming to have no former gymnast friends?? Called out girl bullying on the post-Olympic tour and nada since then
– Memmel and Johnson being odd girls out
– Brenna Dowell not being picked for comps when she was healed and placed above others at camp who made teams
– as a starting point.
I’ve followed gymnastics since Kim Z. won in 1991 and unlike skating, which has its blips for me depending on whose big and who I like, whereas it’s been easier to follow gymnastics and its gyms, camps, programs and elite farms as the internet has come into play. So I’ve been around for a lot, but certain gossip still has the potential to be tapped into people!

i think its just to give some advantage to landing a clean 1.5 or 2 yurchenko. This is rumored at this point but it wouldnt surprise me. It just puts more distance between the top 15 teams and the rest of the pack. Yurchenko half is rumored to be going down to a 9.9. Youll get coaches that collude not to throw harder vaults until season end.

American Classic Results are posted. No news brief yet summing up who made it, but by the stated rules, I think Polina Schennikova qualified by the skin of her teeth posting 41.3 (needing 41.250). She put up at 15 on bars but must of fell on beam.
A large number of gymnasts posted above 51ish/53ish, so the Secret Classic will be huge.

We all just need to accept that Lauren is kinda crazy. I’m not saying that to be mean, but she goes kinda boinkers every 3-4 months. She has problems with all of her coworkers, roommates, tumblr followers, etc., She can’t even break up with a guy like a normal adult. She has to screencap every single conversation with the guy where she plays like she’s going to meet up with him and then she goes “haha!!!” to “us” as if we think it’s so wonderful.
She gets so offended by everything. I remember discussing with her the mckayla maroney nudes and she was just going off. I think gymnastike did the right thing, aside from their initial link to the nudes (that was awful and the followup with the president was awful) but they were right: they report on all gymnastic news. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. She claimed that Disney never did anything like that when their underage talent had “scandals”, And when I tried to explain to her that they absolutely did that with Vanessa Hudgen’s nudes andnJamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy and then she went all like “well, gymnastics is different.” and then when I reminded of here of how al, tim and elfi literally made domo cry during a live interview about her parents in ’97, she was like “Oh, that’s different.”
