It took me forever to paste these names into the picture montage(It didn’t work so I made this one instead) I found online but I felt like it needed to be done. Too many times we remember the murdering scum and forget the people that died and were injured and that is something that always gets on my last nerve so in honor of the innocent babies and people killed 20 years ago today we should all remember the innocent people from that day 20 years ago and no one else.

Here you go. This is better

I was a kid when it happened but I remember it being all over the news. It’s so sad that the media pays so much attention to the criminals and not enough on the innocent victims.

  3. sanitynmotion Says:

I agree. Part of the reason these sick people do these things I believe is the incredible fame and media exposure they get…

    • gymnerd Says:

I have recently stopped buying & reading true crime books. I always read them to “get to know” the victims…now though, it kind of feels like I’m contributing to the next crazy…”I’ll be the next Bundy and someone will write a book about ME!”

  4. tulip Says:

Thank you for this post. I was a senior in college doing an internship at the state Senate (not Oklahoma). They evacuated because some ass who was getting his jollies from playing a sick joke to scare people called in a bomb threat a few hours after word got out about OKC. Probably the exact type of person you all described. Fame and attention whore mixed with a twisted mind.

Had the opportunity to see the memorial a few years ago. Incredibly emotional. All those little kids. If you get the chance, it’s worth it. It was a way to pay my respects.

At least one of the killers is gone.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

He put a bomb in front of a daycare and knew he was doing it. That always kind of got to me big time especially because I had a nephew in day care at the time. It still gets to me. These people just deserve to be in hell.

  5. gymbot Says:

I appreciate the work you put into this and your message. I was too young to really understand what happened then, but after you posted this and after reading comments, I will remember that day and the loss of these people.

  6. Case Says:

Touching tribute, GTT. Thanks for the effort you put into it.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

Sadly the work I put into it looks like crap so I had to settle for this list but the message remains the same.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

Even hell is too good for these murderers. I just don’t understand sometimes how people can be so evil.

  7. Melanie Says:

What a haunting list, but one we should all remember. Today is another tragic anniversary – the 16th anniversary of the Columbine HIgh School massacre.

As a librarian who visits daycares daily, I’m with GTT on the especially vile nature of the OK City bombing. I can’t understand what would ever motivate someone to do such a horrible thing.

  8. gymnerd Says:

    Well done, GTT.

  9. Mimi Says:

I remember this being on the news in Australia. I was only 7 and couldn’t comprehend why someone would do this (still don’t).

Seeing the victims’ names and photos is actually a bit confronting for me (putting names and faces to these just absolutely breaks my heart) but absolutely necessary. I’m glad I don’t remember the name of the perpetrator.
