I haven’t followed skating as much since the Kween retired but I will say that out of the current US skaters I like Wagner the best. Her performance in that video looks considerably improved from the Olympics.
I know it’s early on in the season and whatnot but apparently the scoop from camp is that Simone had two falls so Bailie Key won the all around. Anyone think Bailie could slip into SCAM ahead of Skinner? Really, I’m fine with Skinner and think she’s obviously been working hard but you know how Marta likes to mix things up.
Simone told people about falling twice in a kind of excuse like making answer ( no I finished second but I fell twice) so glad to hear the child has some fight in her.
Yeah, that’s true! It has to at least be a great motivator. I gather that it went something like this from the asks and whatnot I’ve been reading: 1. Bailie, 2. Simone, 3. Laurie Hernandez, 4. another junior (maybe Norah?), 5. Jazzy, 6. Maddie Desch. Interesting. I’m surprised to see Maddie sneak up there. Hmm, MG Elite says Laurie got first of the juniors (3rd with jrs and srs) and Jazzy got 3rd (5th with jrs and srs) so I wonder what other junior it could have otherwise been. I should probably stop thinking about this and do some work instead but I’m all kinds of intrigued.
I just read that Ragan Smith was the second highest scoring junior so that would put her in that number 4 spot. The juniors are really coming on strong!
Newsflash! Shawn is covering the Super Bowl for Inside Edition…annoying everyone the way she talks thru her teeth. Her boyfriend, Andrew East testified this week in the rape trial of several Vanderbilt football players. Oh and Shawn is stalking my Twitter feed(she’s following me), but I’m going to block her.

ASac would have even made more sense considering she’s married to a guy who warms the bench year-round…he’d have more insight to give her at least.
Brady Quinn has a full time broadcasting gig. Even if you fail on the field, if you look good doing it you can find work that way. I’m pretty sure between Brady’s 6 years in the league, broadcasting gig and Alicia’s stock options she got from Under Armour when she signed with them in 2011, they went be hurting for money anytime soon.
i got the impression that everyone showed half routines, and then certain people (scam and scam backups along with people trying to make the national team) showed full routines for readiness. My bet is desch and key are scam backups, and that skinner fell or something.
Macy Toronjo is competing the Nastia Liukin Cup, I didn’t realize she dropped down to level 10. I guess she’s preparing for college now but I was hoping to see a bit more of her as an elite. Her gymnastics were nice and had potential.
Ahh ok, I wondered if that may have been the case. Back to your question, I’m wondering the same thing. I think Norah is full of potential but as of now, her difficulty on most of the events is too low to determine how she’ll do. I think Alexis is great but I’m not sure if she can hold her own against the new crop of Seniors.
I know 4 Nora’s or Norah’s as they spell it now all born in the 70’s and 80’s. The name is making a comeback. Enjoy your lack of sleep. Sanity knows all about it.lol

We are doing mostly bottle feedings so my hubby been pretty good about taking the night shifts! I’m lucky.
We love the name and hoping it won’t become too popular. I did think a little about Norah Flatley when naming our child lol Maybe that’ll give Flatley some good luck in the years leading up to Rio lol
It’s really surprising since the progress in vaulting difficulty isn’t a perspective people lack, whereas the other tidbits have shock factor. Also McKayla Maroney didn’t capture vault gold, so now I question some of the other facts in this article.
It’s a listicle of facts. The best one is that Cleopatra/Queen of Egypt lived closer to the construction of the first Pizza Hut then she did to the construction of the great pyramids – but that fact could be super wrong too.
This article is pretty misleading. It makes it sound like Aly’s slated to compete in Jesolo (which I hope she will!) when she hasn’t been selected yet. It also says that she plans to compete at Worlds. Methinks the author doesn’t understand the selection process…
All I could think looking at that picture is why isn’t Nastia putting herself in the center and having everyone bow down to her.lol Bross looks like she gained quite a bit of weight but eventually I am sure she will even out.

Do we know how Gabby, Kyla and Aly did?
What do you think about Norah Flatley, will she turn out as an AA
or is Victoria Nguyen the one for Rio?
Have any of you considered that even if Chow is an excellent coach he is still outclassed by his wife?
Will Skinner and Biles do Scam, or is it just on paper for now?
And will there be a spot for “exhibition” like Gabby had before Olympic.
