Thoughts. Kyla got the only execution score over 9 on any event but vault for her 9.000 on bars.

Her interview after the win. I counted 15 ums, a Nastia mention and it looked like someone was coaching her or making her laugh behind the camera.

All these girls seem to swing the bars really well but it could be my feed.

I like a Zmeskal gymnast. There I said it. I actually like 2 (Peyton and Nica)

Sam remembers the Chinese girls names. One point for her. I believe by my calculation that puts her ranking at a negative 3 million.7

Kyla is capable of all these scores at Worlds. I think her beam would score better outside the US. She needs to upgrade and not screw up floor but I feel better about tonight than a few months ago.

Gabby is training so hard she comes to Classics. I hate little gymnasts.

STFU Sam, She did not deserve the gold on vault.

Mckayla hit vault but was off to the right. Not as good as usual. Still got a 15.600 with a step out. A little high. Second vault couldn’t see. Mckayla was overscored a little but its Classic. Not unexpected.

Okay so Dee suggests that I now call shut up Shannon, Shut up Sam. GREAT idea.:) Lexie didn’t do beam.

Skinner got a 6.3 start value and a 13.050 on floor.

Hey Sam made a great point. If Mckayla skinner is too piked on her double times 2 layout she will lose credit for having the same skill twice. Lauren on twitter said Chellsie was catching her up on the code so that credit goes to Chellsie.

WOW, Lexie got a 14.8 on floor. I missed it. I was typing.

Kyla only needs a 14.050 to take over first. She usually gets a 15.2 on the DTY and I expect nothing less here. That was before Abby’s score. sorry she needs a 15.700. Not happening.lol but her last event is bars so all is good. 15.200. Yep exactly what she got. She always gets that.

Biles is next on floor.

Love the double layout with a half. Double double was nice too. Hands down on last pass. Oh well. Not her night. Its still a month early for all these girls.

Biles put her hand on beam and had two huge bobbles.

It cuts out Kyla’s last pass for me and I missed her mistake at the end. 13.400 but with a 5.7 start value which is loads better than a 5.3 but I missed how short she was on the last pass so I have no clue if she was low balled. I’ll find out.

Mckayla hit floor but all I saw was a stuck double Arabian.

Kyla did fall on her last pass. How does that skinny little tall girl have endorsement issues?

New drinking game. Every time Peszek talks about herself and uses the word drink a bottle of wine. Your already drunk and you don’t even know it.

All I see is blur. Leader board is funny but Kyla got the tough event and her worst event out of the way. Bars is last both she and Simone need to peak at Nationals. This meet should have been used for upgrades which it wasn’t for Kyla on anything but floor. I am afraid she will not go with that routine in August.

Kyla hit beam but she didn’t connect the sheep to the punch front like she did in training. It looked good through the blur. 5.7 start value is not enough for worlds. I thought these meets were for upgrades? (14.650) Looks like they are saving for a Biles fall. Typical

Peszek’s voice goes right through me. Lexis on bars. She hit but I couldn’t see much. (14.350) Skinner tanked bars and it cost her more than a little bit. Peyton ‘s DTY looked nice, though the blur.

Abby on bars. Saw a few form break through the blur but she stayed on. OMG, Usa-gym is as stupid as other shows. Psy the lets kill Americans and their families and we hear this song? pathetic. I really think Marta owns USA-Gymnastics with all the anti US leotards for the Olympics and these songs.

According to IG, Mckayla is in black shimmery leotard. At least it isn’t pink. Apparently Mckayla is the only one competing because she is the only one they mentioned.

Simone Biles leotard is pretty. Mckayla’s is ugly black and Kyla has her warm up sui on. And I lost my coverage. Its back.

Simone’s leo is white with those swirl things but I like the swirl things. Mckayla has scratched beam and Desch bars. Chellsie is judging I just heard her name over this horrible music.

        I didn’t go because I waited to long to get good seats and now all the hotels near by are booked. I might be going down for one day (ladies second night) but I have not decided yet.

        I didn’t watch the commentator version because the live feed was downright annoying. I stuck with the You Tube videos that USAG uploaded.

        Overall though I think I’d still take Sam over Nastia. I’d rather hear about Sam talking about herself rather than Nastia’s horrid voice, or her talking about her Olympic competition, or her dad being the WOGA coach, yada yada yada…

        And I’m willing to hear Sam over Daggett/Shlagel any day too. Those guys are nimrods.

        Of course if everything were fair and perfect they’d just have Shannon do the commentating, and it would be fun to have ASac in there as Devil’s advocate. But we’ll never get what we want, lol.

    Told you simone would have errors and brennas beam… Did I see a hand on the beam on that turn, and her form is yuck though not as yuck as skinner. So Peyton to vault and Kyla to bars. If Kyla is Kyla she wins, she needs to improve floor but still poor simone.

    maybe kyla’s coaches are right keeping her routines slightly less difficulty with clean execution… all the girls chucking the exciting big skills have crap e scores but i guess maybe it doesn’t matter so much at a classic.

    mckayla did well, thank gosh. i love her floor. no more scary third pass.

      No, I completely agree. Sam was terrible. If they’re going to keep picking people from the 2008 team to commentate, then pick Alicia (and pair her with Shannon Miller).

      Things that bugged me about Sam’s commentating:
      – Mooooostafina.
      – “Sticking is what everyone’s trying to do with this new code,” and no one did that last code? or the code before? really?
      – Jesolo = “The team that went to Italy”
      – Basically everything lol

      I didn’t catch this, but I read on Tumblr that there was some guy who people heard, who was telling Sam what to say, and she was repeating that. Needless to say, she was awful.

        We all need to shame USAG for their blatant nepotism. A week after announcing her mom as new VP of women’s gymnastics, Sam who was just terrible, gets the gig…? BS.

        Amanda and Sam were either talking about themselves or being so sugary sweet, just couldnt deal. Shannon and Alicia together would be fantastic. Shannon can be diplomatic and Alicia can be blunt and unable to hide how she really feels.

    What is that you said about how I have an uncanny way of being right? I was right. Simone made mistakes, Kyla won. Brenna got hammered. Peyton impressed me the most unexpectedly. just like Norah Flatley did. I don’t think Lexie is 14.7 + on beam and I don’t think she would have won with beam, but shed have been second or third. Talk about a complete meltdown for Simone.

      I didnt pick Jrs. I don’t know enough about Jrs and there are too many of them to keep straight. They all seem the same to me, besides Norah looked like her routines had a lot of room for upgrades, and Amelia looks like shes already at Bama…. I dont like Polina laurie looks good. What scares me on this competition is who do we have on bars besides Kyla? There is still this hole, where people should be working on more difficult routines. Jordyn, and Gabby both have room to get back in there with bar routines that meet the new COP.

    The problem with skinner is that she has terrible execution. Its like her coach said screw the basics and lets chuxj hard skills so you can get back on the national team.

    I like simone but if she chokes at nationals I would be scared to put her on a world team.

      Skinner is truly “chucking” her difficult skills I feel like too. Obviously Aly didn’t have the best execution but she had a handle on all of her skills to build her huge D scores in a way that Skinner doesnt seem to possess. With the exception of some of Aly’s amanars you never were scared about what she was throwing or worried she was going to land on her ass. It wasnt the prettiest but the holy shit moments werent there like they seem to be with Skinner. I dont know if that makes sense…

    I was happy to see Kyla’s floor – but am afraid her coaches will water it down now that she didn’t hit it. I think it was an endurance issue though from the way it looked…

    I hope they keep it. That’s the only way she can stay relevant for Worlds.

    Not sure what to say about Biles…she’s looking a bit head-casey now. Marta does not like headcases.

        She has the highest US bar score. She had the second highest beam score. What upgrades does she need this is a different code with different demands. Let everyone see how this year shakes out then work on a new code whoring leap combo. THe way her coaches were picking though vaulting fundamentals it wouldnt surprise me to see them try to get her a consistent amanar. Although without Biles competing she had the highest DTY score, and Skinners Amanar only only beat her by a slim margin. Skinner needs to go back down to L10 or off to Utah.

      I’m just saying if a 23 y/o Alicia in 2011 managed a 5.9 D-score with an achilles tendon that was holding on by a thread, Kyla should be able to do a little better than 5.7. They need to experiment with spins/dance elements to get the d-score up because 5.7 isn’t going to hack it.

        Kyla did this last year too. She is capable of keeping the legs together on the DTY and bars but she doesn’t always do it. Her legs only had a slight separation on her vault and her bars she had legs glued together too , this time. It has to be lack of concentration. Someone needs to tell her coach to remind her before she goes up at worlds.

    I have to say that what Texas Dreams did today was incredible. They have great beam coaching. None of them looked nervous. None of them mentally fell apart. Placing three athletes in the top 8 at any senior meet is incredible. Especially one where it looks like Marta told everyone to do everything and compete hard. Classics used to be considered a tune up meet, with none of the favorites for championships competing more than 1-2 events. Marta made this meet actually count.

    I was at the meet today for both sessions, and it sounds like my opinions are pretty much on track with others. Here are my big thoughts:
    -juniors meet was SO much better to watch because so many f them needed to try to qualify. I was much more impressed with the juniors field.
    -I like bailey keys gymnastics, but that girl is painfully expressionless!!
    -definitely watch out for Nia Dennis, that girl has some talent
    -Laurie can dance better than any of the seniors. Her floor routine was amazing and captured the audience
    – Nrah Flatley is my new favorite. Gorgeous beam!

    seniors:
    – Where are all the Amanars? I was bored watching vault.
    – Kyla has always been my fave of the Fierce Five, but with the exception of bars, she didn’t wow me. I see it being tough for her to medal at worlds.
    – Skinner looks like a train wreck
    – Simone just fell apart. Not good under pressure today.
    -Lexie (and Amelia) are strong and I like them, but other than floor they didn’t stand out.
    -LOTS of OOB on floor.

    Texas Dreams is shining, and I was not impressed with WOGA toda. One last thing…Steve Penny was in the suite next to me and he (very loudly) only cheered for McKayla, Kyla, and Lexie.

      I was really pulling for her on floor because I do like her. It’s interesting that she only takes a step hurdle entry into her last two tumbling passes bc she is so small, and then she just didn’t have enough gas to pull around the full.

    Okay my thoughts…. I got sick of the live feed and since they’re uploading the routines immediately I watched the playlist from youtube on my blu-ray. SOOOO Much better. Anyway…

    Really impressed with Peyton. She has a really lovely poise to her and I’m hoping she goes far.

    I think Kyla is just playing it safe since this meet really doesn’t hold any value, just getting your feet wet for the season. She’s doing great.

    McKayla looks to be doing awesome. Loved the new routine and the double layout. No more scary third pass!

    Biles wtf? American Cup had had so much more pressure and you did so well. Hope you’re just having a bad day. Not that American Cup scores carry over to anything but It means something to Marta to put you in it.

    Skinner seems to be really shakey and just chucking everything. She looks like she is going to break her neck, a train wreck if you will. If she could pull it together she would be a force to be reckoned with but that seems like a long shot.

    Pretty much all the WOGA girls had major mistakes on all events. Especially beam. But I liked those leos the best I think. I’m not sure who they are coached by. I didn’t see Liukin or Marchenko in any of the shots.

    Texas Dreams all pretty solid. Way to go!

    The asain San Mateo girl (I don’t remember her name) I really enjoyed her form.

    Overall Classic was a splatfest, but I’m glad Kyla and McKayla are living up to their name and not being forgotten with the new seniors.

      Kyla should have used this meet as her practice meet. Now she will have to do the upgrades at Nationals. Unless she is waiting for camp.

      I am just SO glad she had a 5.7 start value. She needs more but that is a start.

      My theory: 1. She decided to do some “be the bigger person” and “let the past go” crap, or 2. She has absolutely NO idea what to do with her life now that competing is over and decided to suck it up and go with this despite what happened, or 3.       I think 3 athletes from 2012 is not out of the question at this point. Kyla admitted her beam was watered down in the interview, and she needs to do better on floor. She’ll get there. Jordyn in the live feed doesnt seem too confident about really being back in it, though she did tweet a pic of herself and bieber a few days ago, and she mentioned UCLA in the interview today. Stars drive sponsorships and the fierce 5 are the stars. Kyla was surprised how popular shes become. But having McKayla there will get him a TV contract for next year. I think Marta has picked her four man team if Simone can pull it together for championships, and I think its Ross, Maroney, Priessan, and (Biles / Ernst if Biles keeps flopping). I dont think Dowell gets in there . Peyton Ernst reminds me of Aly Raisman or a Sam Peszeck. Not outstanding but consistently really quite good. Its interesting that Marta and Steve Penny now too have gotten so blatant that there are stars and not stars on the national team. I mean if you are just there to go to college okay,

      Chellsie judging senior beam makes me ill. Shes like our bought and paid for version of Nellie Kim. Brestyns wife was used to judge also. And Anna Li just wow. This reminds me of how Kimbo came back in 2000 and then was used almost immediately as a judge.

        I love the classic bun personally. Kyla, Peyton and Maddie all had clean cute buns. Or an off the shoulder pony tail. I think the slightly shorter ones look better for whatever reason. They have so many other restrictions on the girls like no nail polish and only 1 pair stud ear ring requirements you would think they would have a clean hair style requirement.

    So if you listen to twitter McKayla’s performance today “totes means shes going to Rio.” Here’s the thing, McKayla is awesome at vaulting. No one is going to argue that (although one could argue that at the moment that mattered most she head cased like Gabby at 2011 Nationals.) The problem is lots of girls have decent amanar vaults and while McKayla’s might be the best, its not like the E panel discriminates too much. I think its going to be much harder for her to make the team without contributing something else this quad. Most people would say it would be on floor but that remains to be seen.

    I have serious doubts McKayla can make it through the quad in one piece. She hurt her back in 2011 and had problems with it through 2012, she had a ton of shit going on in 2012 and lest we forget she FRACTURED her leg doing a LAYOUT off bars. Shes breakable. Its a long quad.

    If last quad taught us anything its that most of these seniors wont actually be in contention in 2016 and we should probably look to the 1999 kiddos for the core of the team.

    I do wonder how Laurie Hernandez floor would be received by international judges. Its awesome and shes got the sass and all that but it comes off very “American” and I’m not sure thats considered a good thing in elite gymnastics.

    I don’t think we’ll really see anything indicative of the US team for Rio until maybe PacRims next spring.

    Alright, I’m done ranting about gymnastics tonight. Please excuse the snark between the crappy feed, annoying commentating and bad gymnastics just couldnt help it. šŸ™‚

      I agree. I don’t think we will see Mckayla in 2016. I think Kyla has a chance only because she really is a first year senior this year and competed for years with the current gymnasts so much so she is better friends with them than her teammates. Or I am just wishful thinking

        Yeah I think McKayla will only have a chance of making it if she’s the only one doing two vaults.

        If I were a coach I’d have my athlete (hopefully) to two vaults and rock bars. That’s the ticket to Rio. Especially bars. Like someone already said that’s the huge hole missing from the US and it behooves me why/how other coaches aren’t stressing it on their athletes. Maybe they just figure Gabby is coming back or whatever? Who knows.

        I think McKayla does her vaults pretty much better than anyone in the world. She is not at top form yet, but shes an extra medal for the US on vault. We dont even have that many Amanars right now, and Brennas score only being slightly lower than McKaylas was BS. She had no height and distance compared to McKayla. That wasnt a great amanar from McKayla but its still probably the best in the world.

        Oh and after tonight I feel so much better about Kyla. I also watched her interview and she said she took a lot of her more challenging beam elements out for the meet today so there’s more potential there. If she hadn’t crashed on floor, she would be very close to the 60 point mark.

        Funny thing is even with the crash on floor, she scored similar to what she was scoring with her weaker floor events (in the past) so I’m hoping her coaches keep her working at upgrading that event. If she can get those upgrades in I’d say she has a good shot at Rio, or at least Worlds the next few years.

        Yup I think her score would have been an easy 14.4 without the fall. I know that’s biased US scoring but she still scores well internationally, like someone else on here mentioned.

        I know she shouldn’t rush an amanar but I feel like if she had one she’d be way more lethal come Worlds. A 15.2 on a DTY is good but I feel like they’ll be giving that to Musty too for the heck of it.

    i still like sydney js’ floor better than laurie’s for the dance elements but both are great. emily gaskins is so pretty on floor, how did MLT end up with her? good to see that some nice floor workers are coming through!

      Emily Gaskins also impressed me. I was impressed with her at the Nasty Piukin cup though and wondered why she wasnt elite. I guess she is now. She was at a no name gym ( Nova Something before that Boca Twisters which I think was Carly Janigas gym) and moved to MLT late last year.

      Thanks for the reference to Gaskins. I loved her floor! She looks like she has had some kind of formal dance training. I think most gymnasts would benefit from this, especially if they are aiming eventually to the elite status. Sigh.

    Sam took her headset off and put it near her mike long enough that we did hear production giving them little factoids. Amanda repeated a bunch of the things that were said. This is normal, production does this for all booth announcers in all sports. Her headset probably messed up her hair. Obvious production doesnt really know gymnastics. Obvious that Sam has never watched real gymnastics commentary like on Eurosport.

    I wish that they would put Asac / Miller together as commenators and offer an alternate feed on tv or online. That would be so funny to good cop bad cop them and have Miller try to be diplomatic and ASac just being realistic.

      A friend of mine does commentary for Eurosport. For worlds they use this commentators program (cant remember what its called), and he gave me his login details for Worlds and Euros. It’s amazing, score comes up before they post it on tv and even in the arena. And if you click on a gymnasts name, it comes up a bunch of facts like where they’re from, favourite hobby, etc etc, bunch of little tidbits to fill the silence when needed. For worlds I will dig out the login deets and share with you guys.

    I’d like to give my thoughts regarding Kyla’s performance at the US Secret Classics and where she stands as far as being the most solid All Around US Gymnast now.

    I’m glad that she has finally upgraded FX… With her strong execution and beautiful lines, I believe that her FX routine will be receive rather well by international judges… Bear in mind that during Team Quals. at the London Olympics… She scored a 13.733 with a 0.3 OOB after her Double Arabian and no CV for stag leap… Without those errors, she would have receive a 14.2-14.3 for a FX with a D score of 5.5.

    With that said, I believe that her new FX routine is worth a 5.8. I think she’ll do the switch ring instead of the switch leap which will up her D score by 0.1. I’m not sure what else she can do to upgrade her FX for this year, but a 5.8 is a solid SV on FX.

    Over on BB… I believe that if she does what she’s capable of, she can master a Beam routine worth 6.5
    Switch Ring (E) + Back Tuck (C); 0.1 CV
    Side Aerial (D) + LOSO (C); 0.2 CV
    Switch Leap (C) + Back Pike (C); 0.1 CV
    Front Aerial (D) + Sheep Jump (D); 0.2 CV

    On VT, I think her DTY (5.8 Difficulty) is really solid and will score well… I’m not sure if she’s ready to do an Amanar now (She’s much taller now, 5’5″), but it’ll be great if she can get it back and consistently and safely land it, but for the P&G Championship and Worlds this year, I think a DTY will serve her well.

    Bars is by far her best event, she is miles ahead over any other US gymnast on this apparatus. Her current SV of 6.4 has served her well… So far, she has scored a 15.4 or better in the 3 competitions she has joined thus far (Jesolo, Germany, Classics). As far as upgrades goes, I think the most obvious will be connecting the Pak to a Chow 1/2 which will up her D Score to a 6.6. Another possible area is for her to a half turn after her bail and then do a Maloney 1/2 back up to the H-bar. I’m not sure if this is possible, but its just a thought.

    So to sum up:
    VT: DTY (5.8)
    BARS: 6.6
    BEAM: 6.5
    FX: 5.8
    Total D Score: 24.7

    I am looking forward to see Kyla Ross crowned as National and World Champion this year!

        Kyla definitely has the potential to be on the podium for Worlds. She has great execution and she’s got the body type that the international judges really like. If she adds in her upgrades on beam and maybe a harder leap or something in floor she’ll be at the level with the rest of the field.

        Yao may have a bit more on bars and beam but on vault and floor they’re pretty equal or Kyla may end up having a bit more. You never know with China’s D score on floor. Iordache has more on floor and beam but vault and especially bars Kyla has way more. Russia is pretty even on most. If Simone gets her shit together she could beat Kyla but it really depends on her execution and how they score her.

    GTT: By the way, it’s great to finally find a forum where Kyla Ross gymnastics is well appreciated! I’m sick and tired of people dissing her all the time. She is such a beautiful and humble gymnast.
    As far as dissing her coaches, Kyla has said she wants to go to College and do the NCAAs. It is wise for her couches to pace her right, prevent injuries and burn out, knowing full well she wants to do gymnastics in College. It will be totally unwise to break her now.

    As for Sam I feel badly for her. Her mom was probably trying to help her out and get her some experience. Like when her mom got her put on the 2008 olympic team after Marta killed or broke everyone else. I think she needs to go back to UCLA pick up a few more brain cells and try again if this is what she wants to do. I could see her working for USAG, but not doing that. She threw a horrible black jacket that did not fit over her shirt. The whole commentating experience was just weird. Nastias porn star voice would have been worse but not by much. She did make a good point about Skinners tumbling. Its like her coaches have no idea how the code really works. I get the same feeling about Simones coaches at Bannons. They arent known for producing elites or L10s and why she wasnt shipped off somewhere else like to Brestyns is beyond me. I would love to see that girl with Mihai.

    As for Kylas Amanar I think the last time she threw it was classics last year for a 15.3. If thats the best it scores shes better off with a DTY at 15.2 and doing something better on beam/ floor.

      Oh please, Sam had outstanding beam and floor routines in 2008 and deserved to be on that Olympic team. Also, Kyla scored a 15.55 on an Amanar vault at Jesolo 2012 with a big step out of bounds so if she could master the vault it would help her a lot in AA competitions.

        Agree with Stephen on Sam making the Olympic team – it might have been “gifted” but I think Sam’s skills were more needed on that team over Ivana’s or Jana’s (I HATED Jana Bieger’s gymnastics so I may be a bit biased on that one). Shayla’s leg was broken and I can’t remember who else would have worked. Sam also got along with mostly everyone (I think) so I can’t say she didn’t deserve that spot on that team. If it were a 5-member team like it was in London though I believe she would have been the one left at home.

        I too agree that Kyla could be lethal with an amanar but agree that she shouldn’t force it if it’s iffy. Obviously that’s a skill many get injured on. At least Kyla has good form on her DTY. Technically she should far outscore Mustafina on it but Musty’s been given so many gifts on that.

        For Kyla to really be an AA threat she still needs to up her D scores on floor and beam (we know she’s easily capable of it on beam and will likely do so) and if she could up her D score on bars she could also be a podium threat there internationally. She needs higher D scores to beat the likes of Musty and Komova (who I believe had D scores in the high-6’s range and were getting near-16 or just over-16 scores in London).

        I thought Sam was in the Nastia/Alicia/Shayla club during that quad? I always thought this because the “Shawn would never be in this picture” comment was on Sam’s profile picture on Facebook. I agree with some of the earlier posts here though that Sam had what the team needed, but her mother probably got advice from Marta for Sam.

        Agreed. Mustafina’s DTY tends to have the landing fine, but the form in the air is absolutely putrid (and has further deteriorated since London).

        If I recall correctly, Komova and Mustafina both had 7.0s for their start values on Bars, and from the rumors coming out of Round Lake (which have circulated on Tumblr), Komova apparently has a 7.1 D-Score bar routine at the moment. I’ve also heard she has everything back except her Amanar. Granted, we haven’t seen Komova in competition in forever, but just what I’ve heard around.

        Sam was never going to be used in team finals for anything but vault and that was only if Bridget was not on the team. Her bars, beam and floor all would have been passed by the gymnasts who did the team finals accept maybe Alicia on floor. Nastia was so overscored on floor regardless of what she did on the mat. Sam made the team by default because there were no stand out event final gymnasts to plug anywhere. Chellsie getting hurt screwed everything up or she would have been used on beam and floor over Alicia. Sorry but Sam was not beating the beam girls ahead of her not with the way the overscoring was going on.

        Do you really think Marta would have put Chellsie in over ASac though on beam? I can see her putting in Chellsie over ASac on floor “after” ASac fell off beam (like a last minute thing) but I still felt she was going to use ASac on beam/floor no matter what since ASac was a former World floor champ, got silver at Worlds in ’07 on floor, and all that. Yet now that I think about it ASac was getting all sorts of scary on the OOB thing on one of her passes going in to the Olympics, so maybe you got a point there.

        But on beam, didn’t ASac do very well in quals and would have made beam finals if not for the 3 per country rule? I still kind of think Marta would have used ASac on beam over Chellsie given Chellsie’s lack of style/international form or what have you…

    out of curiosity – how do coaches address a lack of endurance issue (thinking about kyla here)… is it a matter of building fitness? or being a teenage girl, is it more about diet and health (e.g. iron levels, proper vitamin levels, sleeping enough and allowing for muscle recovery.. this comes to mind as it’s something im suffering through myself lately)? a combo of both? something completely different?

    i just find it strange that she herself cited endurance as an issue, given how fit she must be and that she’s kept on training.

      I know it’s crazy to me that any of these girls would have endurance issues. I mean, they are in crazy good shape. I can’t even imagine what it took for Maroney to come back to being in shape.

      I think it’s just a matter of getting back in to routine shape again. It’s been awhile since Jesolo. This is the first meet in awhile so the numbers of routines are just getting back up there. But I’m not honestly sure what all they do to get endurance up besides requires so many full routines in a practice.
