Vote for Aly, 1 800 868 3408 and a NEW rule

New Rule. Only Gymmom and negative comments are allowed when talking about Gabby. I have a troll that likes using an IP changer, annoying me. She insists I take back my blog so I am.

If I have to be Abomb I will be. Apparently some people are stupid and don’t get that I don’t care at all if someone bad mouths Gabby fairly or unfairly. You can call her or her mother any negative non racist name you like. You can do the same about Gabby.

This is MY blog and while I love all of you and thank you for supporting this blog you don’t want to piss me off.

Any comments supporting Gabby will be deleted and if you continue to ignore this warning my next step will to be to ban you. As obnoxious as this sounds no one is above this blog but me.That isn’t for you regulars its for the trolls)

1 800 868 3408

I think tonight is the last night to vote. Anyone know?

Gymmom says yes, last night to vote.

The judges are fixing this show again. Aly was lowballed the first dance and then this extra point dance off gives Zendaya extra points. Why do I want this show again?

Lugano Trophy results.

  1. GymMom Says:

Yes last night to help Aly win DWTS!

    • gymtruthteller Says:

      Thank you

    • Tortuga Says:

Gosh I hope Aly wins! Can you only vote 5 times total, or can you vote 5 times each way? I called in 5 times. Can I still vote on facebook or text? Hope someone reads this before 11. Also are the results tonight?

      • Gymbee Says:

        You can vote on fb!

      • Tortuga Says:

Yeah, I decided to go the extra mile. My boyfriend and I each called 5 times, then I texted 5 times and also voted on Facebook 5 times. I think I’ve done all I can individually lol.

  2. Gymnerd Says:

Lifted this from IG – no source – maybe Nancy Armour. Sorry if you guys already discussed it elsewhere.

Gabby Douglas had been looking forward to this appearance for a long time.

The Olympic all-around champion returned to the gym Monday, going through her first practice since the London Games after meeting with coach Liang Chow to discuss her comeback plan.

“She is very excited to be coming back,” Chow told The Associated Press. “She can’t wait any longer.”

Douglas has always said she wanted to continue competing through the Rio Olympics in 2016. She is only 17, and Chow said in London that she hadn’t come close to reaching her potential. (The Olympics were only the fifth international event for Douglas.)

But her life has been a whirlwind since London, where she also helped the U.S. win only its second team title. Her Olympic success, dazzling smile and captivating personality turned her into a worldwide celebrity, and she’s been going nonstop since the games ended.

She was the AP’s female athlete of the year and one of Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People” in 2012. She was the only female on Forbes’ recent list of 10 most influential athletes in the U.S. She had a guest spot on “The Vampire Diaries,” one of her favorite shows, and she performed at the Video Music Awards after walking the red carpet with the rest of the Fierce Five.

Douglas and fellow Fierce Five members Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber and McKayla Maroney did a 40-city gymnastics tour last fall, and she’s made dozens of other celebrity appearances. She signed deals with Nike, Kellogg Co. and AT&T, among others, and recently published her second book.

Gymnastics was never far from her mind, though, and Chow got the sense from the text messages Douglas would send him that she’d eventually be back in the gym in West Des Moines, Iowa.

“She’s the kind of person who wants to be achieving,” he said. “She wants to feel good about her improvement and her goal setting. That’s the attitude Gabby is about and now she can set out a goal and achieve it, through the sport.”

Chow wouldn’t put a timetable on Douglas’ return, saying she has to get back in gymnastics shape before they can put a “realistic” training plan together.

“I think 2014 is an excellent possibility for competition,” he said.

But this won’t be an easy process, Chow said. Gymnastics is a sport that requires hundreds of hours of repetition to perfect skills, and Douglas has been out of action for nine months.

“I did warn her, ‘If you think preparing for London was hard, preparing for Rio will be harder.’ There’s many challenges ahead of us,” Chow said. “Also, ‘You’re going to have to have a lot more patience with yourself. Nine months off, you have to get yourself in very good physical condition first before we even talk about the training plan for the next steps.”

    But Douglas is undeterred.

“She understood,” Chow said, “and she is super excited.”

Gag me, gag me, gag me. We’ll see how long this actually lasts.

  3. Brouhaha Says:

What’s this about a troll with an IP scrambler????

    • gymtruthteller Says:

a troll told me i had lost control of my blog not understanding these comments being made are fine with me they threatened to keep trolling and told me to take back my blog. So i did

  4. gingercrush Says:

TBH I’ve never understood why someone would be interested good or not into any of the gymnast personal lives. They’re utterly boring. Also if someone posts another Pavlova pic I’m gonna scream. She wasn’t that bloody good.

Anyway *sigh* I don’t know what to make of the Russian and Romanian scores. I honestly don’t see how they can be competitive with the Americans. Still not convinced about the Chinese since outside Bars and Beam their scores are low too. I just don’t get it. The Romanians use to always have the skills especially on beam, floor and vault to compete against any other country even if they were unfairly maligned for being boring. Even though I never saw what was boring about Romanian gymnastics. Well I guess Olaru had the most awkward looking gymnastics body in the world and could out compete Gogean at boring.

The Russians use to be at the top but now they’re not even close. That wouldn’t be bad if they were still amongst the best form wise. But lets be honest. They’re rather bad twisters (even Afanasyeva has less than perfect twisting form. Only Grishina has good twisting form) and some of those juniors can’t even point their toes :(. Does this mean Russian gymnastics means more Zamolodchikovas and Nabievas without the difficulty?

Also I want to see pissed off Gymtruthteller. I heard the amazing Gabby Douglas is coming back and taking her sister Liukin with her. They’re going to rule American gymnastics for the next 40 years.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

An hour ago I would have known you were thinking of that and already banned you before you had a chance to type it but I am over it.:)

Here is the thing, You people have missed my wrath because I usually just do what needs to be done without posting it on the blog but I don’t appreciate being threatened by a troll.

    • sj0126 (@sj0126) Says:

The romanians really need to do something about their bars. China had a fall on beam and a 12.5 on floor for them to get their bronze medal in the olympics. It’s gonna be interesting to see what happens with them over the next year just to have enough gymnasts to be able to have a team for worlds in 2014.

and the Russians have great qualities but every time I see one of them try to do an amanar I get scared that their knees are about to fly off.

      • Catherine Says:

They’re trying, but the seniors are too entrenched in a foundation of bad basics. All hail Andreea Iridon (2015) and Madalina Blendea! (2015) Also Andreea Munteanu (2014) who has improved quite a bit here. Asiana Peng (2016 coached by Gogean herself) looks to have potential too.

In fact, Andreea Munteanu could be the saviour. Her beam is GLORIOUS, Iordache difficulty potential with pointed toes and great leaps, stellar execution really. Also a great shining hope on floor, improving steadily on bars and she looks well able for a DTY. Iridon will be UB/BB I think, her vault is horrendously bad, as in lucky she didn’t whack her head off the table mid-air bad. Blendea/Munteanu as AA-ers. Zarzu BB/FX maybe VT. Peng another AA-er. They don’t have many juniors but the majority of them are awesome.

Russia’s best junior hope is probably Anastasia Dmitrieva. (2015). Followed by Maria Bondareva (2015) who needs more difficulty, stat. Viktoria Kuzmina is very weak on power events, so she’s more likely to just be UB/BB. She already has a 6.1 bars routine and an arabian DLO dismount. Maria Kharenkova (2014) sucks on bars but she’s awesome on beam and floor, though could do with sharper execution. Looks capable of actually vaulting something difficult. Komova, Mustafina, Paseka and Afan all look capable of at least this year and next year.

China thankfully are getting a bit better at not just churning out UB/BB queens. Shang Chunsong, Wang Yan, Yuan Xiaoyang, Liu Tingting and a few more are closing the gap.

    • sainabou nyang Says:

Quite possibly. Paseka already has the horrid preflight on vault like nabs did. Bent knees and leg separation.

  5. GymMom Says:

I enjoyed Aly & Mark’s freestyle dance tonight.

  6. JAS4 Says:

Wonder if the troll is secretly a Gabby relative lol

  7. surfergirl Says:

Ok, so what’s a troll again? I too felt Aly was low balled for her first dance. Her freestyle dance was very good. I love Aly, but I have to admit Kellie’s freestyle dance was amazing. Aly has turned out to be quite a performer. I have looked forward to seeing her dance each week and am very impressed with her achievement! So happy for her.

    • Case Says:

Aly’s freestyle was great but Kellie and Derek just blew me away. What a great finale!!!

    • Catherine Says:

What was her score? I only saw the perfect 30 for the freestyle.

    • lol Says:

A troll is someone that goes places to start trouble. Gabby`s mom is such a jerk. I heard a rumor she was forced to shut down her twitter goes it was losing her daughter endorsements.

      • GymMom Says:

Gabby’s mother is a disgusting excuse for a parent, judging from her very public actions. And she’s ignorant!

  8. Holly Says:

Does anyone think that Aly will be making a gym comeback? If so, I hope she takes some of this improved showmanship and musicality she has learned from DWTS and can apply it to her routines- I think that would be great!

    • Gymbee Says:

I think she will!! I really hope so 🙂 She’s only 18 right? She can do college at 21.

    • Tortuga Says:

She’s already said she wants to go back to the gym after DWTS. I believe she turned down other opportunities because she’s planning on being back once it’s over. Which puts all 5 back training again. Looks like the whole team learned a lesson from 2008. Don’t take too much time off. You may not have a chance. And definitely DO NOT come back less than 1 year before TRIALS!! Not that all these girls will make it to Rio but coming back sooner is better. Hopefully some of them can get another Worlds under their belt.

    • Sara Says:

She said August or September so she could enjoy a summer for the first time/have time off. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it may have helped her form/ artistry.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Mark was yelling at her last night to keep her legs straight. All I could think was, Mark, you do know who you are talking to don’t

  9. Biyatch Says:

I loved seeing Aly really enjoy herself through the DWTS journey. Compare her Olympic interviews to her first GMA interview when the cast was announced to any interview now and you can really just see her coming into her own and allowing her personality to shine. It’s been so nice to see.

I think Aly and Mihai have had a plan since after the games to take a year off, allow your body to recuperate (because even w/no major injuries you know there is still stuff going on) and then get back in it. Plus don’t forget, Mihai is the man that was able to convince Alicia to come back after ’04, after ’08 and after a torn achilles. Aly seems so genuine in saying she loves the sport and wants to come back and apply everything that shes learned from DWTS. Aly is never going to be a ballerina but if she’s able to add musicality, artistry and connection to her tumbling it could be epic.

  10. H Says:

First and foremost, my heart goes out to all those affected by the situation in Oklahoma.

I am in the middle of mine exams, so I am not posting so much these days, but coming here is a always a high light of my day, now with Trolls.  Here is a video I came over on the CG site. I hope it will bring  a smile.

    • Tortuga Says:

We are all sad for Moore and today we have more bad weather around Dallas and North Texas. More possible tornadoes. But this really brightened my day! Thanks for posting. I’ve been on the blog to keep my mind of what could happen. We live in tornado ally and these storms happen constantly in season so it’s hard to take seriously until something devastating happens. Schools have let out early due to weather and what happened yesterday.

  11. GymMom Says:

I apologize if this was already covered but its worth mentioning again. Jordyn’s Sportsmanship Award.

  12. sportsfan Says:

Aly was the first to be voted off tonight, and Internet voting from last night will not count.

  13. sanitynmotion Says:

So I guess Kellie Pickler won. I was off the grid for 8 days.
