These polls mean little much in the real world. In two years when the lime light has died down most of these names will disappear but it is1 interesting to see who made the list.
A lot of people think Jordyn Wieber has a good story but her name is not on this list. I think that ship has sailed.
This list just shows that women stars have died across the board. Number 1 is purely for looks. 2, 3and 4 are for controversy. 5 is for a train wreck, attention seeking bitch etc….

Oh – can you tell me what happened with Hope Solo? I never remembered to look it up and now I’m sure I’d get the wrong story if I did.
I totally agree though about looks/controversy appeal. Sad that’s the way it is with female athletes. You just “win” you’re basically boring anymore. Lolo is about looks too.
Wasn’t ASac on this list too for her Olympic meltdown in 2008?

Hope Solo’s football player fiancé beat her up the day before their wedding recently. He was arrested but she married him anyway.

First Solo was replaced in goal a few years ago at the world cup and she threw a hissy fit and called her teammates who DID NOT MAKE THE DECISION 2 replace her all kinds of names. Than last year she attacked the tv announcer for calling out a girl on the team for her bad play. She claimed she did it to protect her teammate but it was all about her getting attention.
She accused Maks from dancing with the stars of smacking her, she said someone else hit her before (maybe an old coach I forget)
The girl just married a guy that was arrested a few days before that for battery (I forget, it might have even been on her)
She is a first class bitch, I cannot stand her.

Ha…no say what you want about Hope Solo being a douche but she’s the best female goalie out there, just youtube Hope Solo save.
She’s 31 now so she’ll be 34 for the next world cup and 35 for the Olympics. This will be her last go around, I’m sure they’re starting to train other goalies to replace her. The only problem is there is no women’s league now, so Hope will be getting most of the caps in friendlies/qualifiers. I really want the USWNT to win the World Cup for Abby because girl is a BEAST!!

I think she’s a great goalie, definitely losing some steam but I’d still take her if I was building a team. They lost the World Cup on PKs which is always a crap shoot. She saved one but IIRC the Japanese goalie saved 1-2 and 1-2 of our girls completely shanked their shots.
Pia was a godsend for that team after 2007. She’s really easy going and you can tell she doesn’t play favorites, she made them into a TEAM. I’m sad she decided to move on. Hopefully the girls learn more of a possession game because the ‘long kick to Alex Morgan to chase down and cross it into the box for Abby to head it’ is not going to work forever.
Heath is the future, she’s really great and I’m glad she’s getting more and more playing time.

Hope Solo is one of those athletes that I find so trashy that I could care less about her goalie ability.
Her looks garnered her lots of attention in 2008 but now she looks like crap.
That whole debacle with her fiancé was unreal. But in case you were concerned, she is very happily married now. Bleh.

I love them, watching them was one of my favorite parts of the Olympics especially since nobody gave them anything but an outside shot to three-peat.
I remember watching the semi-final vs the China team and thinking ‘this is it’ That Chinese team was so good, you could tell they were younger, faster and stronger but Misty and Kerri were definitely smarter and they continued to rise up in challenging moments while all the other team wilted
Kerri said she’s going for the next Olympics, it’s going to be weird not seeing them together 😦

Looks like Hope Solo’s husband was arrested again in Florida for a probation violation. They say some women choose men exactly like their father? It appears true in this case. Hope’s father spent alot if time in prison.

I don’t know what to say…could Jordyn be any more stiff at the dances in the beginning? Yet this is the corniest video I’ve ever seen. And why incorporate that with a cancer institute? I just don’t get it. This must makes me want the Fierce Five to go away, sadly. If this is what the Olympics gets you…?
So I’m excited to see Aliya out there kicking butt. She looks great for it being only a few months after the Olympics. In fact, her beam was really nice I can tell she’s been working on it. Her bars didn’t have the same difficulty but still that set was better than any of Gabby’s or Nastia’s (lol) any day. I’m so happy she’s sticking with it. Musty will likely be my favorite gymnast this quad – sorry USA girls.

The video made no sense. Starts out in a North Carolina Pediatric Center and for some reason cuts to a gym in Ohio w/Ohio State’s Mascot & cheerleaders??? Gabby is wearing street clothes at both locations, but Jordyn & Aly are wearing parts of their tour costumes? Who’s the guy in the yellow suit? I look more like the Korean Psy than he does. Ha ha ha. I have a feeling this is how the Kelloggs Tour looked..horribly disjointed choreography with no connection to anything? This is a joke and a mockery of whoever is in it.

Thats NC States’ mascot at the NC State gym.
It was shown (on national tv) during the Kaleidoscope on Ice show which is held in benefit of cancer survivorship. It filmed a couple of weeks ago and aired on Sunday. The event (which is also related to the Kids Health Goes Gold event they did during the DNC) was held in Charlotte, NC. The Levine Cancer Institute is the main financial beneficiary of the second tour the girls are participating in.
I am not trying to say that the video is anything but a hot mess (because it is.) But try to look at it in context as something silly and fun with a worth while cause. While the product is “special” what it supports is worthwhile and if the girls are going to be publicity whores at least they are doing it with positive message.

Ebee will win the AA, no Iordache or Moors even. She also has a new 6.6 bars routine. Goryunova was awesome on beam, Rodionova was lovely and Musty was lovely on bars and had a great solid beam with a wobble or two..very in shape though. Mai had a disaster, damn.
