Approving comments, Voo doo dolls and more

As of right now I am not improving approving any comments on this blog. (lol I used the right word in the heading:) I like the mix we have posting and have decided to keep it as is. If you think you would like to post just send me an e-mail at the_real_gymtruthteller@yahoo.com I swear I am not being GGMB I am just trying to keep the trolls away. I’ve had people post civil things just so they could troll and not having a lot of time to spend at this blog right now so I am keeping things, calm:)

Here is a different view of Mckayla and Kyla throwing out the first pitch.

Here are some pictures. By the way, Thanks Magic for taking away all our bloated contracts. I love you:)

An article and video of Mckayla and Kyla from the VMA’s.
Could these like be any more cliche? I mean the black girls likes rap. The white kids like Miley Cyrus. I do not know a single child over ten that ever liked Miley Cyrus. It’s kind of weird to see that Mckayla does and Justin Beiber? I have never met a child that liked him at all let alone a teenager.

Voo Doo Dolls will come later:)

~~~~~~~~~~
Anyone else think this separating of the “Fierce five” is a bad idea? Jordyn and Aly are out visiting sick kids and the other three are on Ellen and at the Dodgers?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just called in sick to work (when I want the Holiday off you better give it to me next time) so I now have time to make some voodoo doll:)

This one was tough. There are like no pictures of the three of them.

Here is the original picture. I think these voodoo dolls are so cute. I love the expressions

Sorry these suck but I am uninspired I guess.

I’ve never really understood why they are separating the “Fierce Five” – I only think it will further confuse the audience that the “handlers” would want to market them to. People really can’t tell one for the other besides Gabby (this is where being black will help her; she naturally stands out – the rest are white girls with dark/brown hair). Of course the other “standout” is McKayla for her viral non-impressed thing and her overall personality. I can’t help but wonder though if this could be bad for future promotions/endorsements.

And GTT I think you meant “approving” comments not “improving” on your first sentence, right? 🙂 Hey hey, ghost writer!

  2. Kittykat Says:

Mckayla probably isn’t going to come back, is she? 😦

    • sanitynmotion Says:

That really would depend. If she’s offered a movie star role, probably not. But I really don’t see her fame train lasting that long so she may have no other choice but to return. She “should’ return. I think right now the main focus is to enjoy the attention they are getting because it doesn’t last long. Football season is literally starting today, mind you.

      • kittykat Says:

I do hope she comes back, don’t think she’s reached her potential yet!
PS. GTT, check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=D_8zxmNFsRM#!
McKayla starts to speak and is cut off by miss pain in the arse

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Gabby is so phony. Why can’t some people see it?

      • Surfergirl Says:

GTT I see it! I see it! As a mature adult woman I should be ashamed of myself for having such ugly feelings about a 16 year old, but man I am so tired of her overall ickiness. What was with the hand on the hip during the entire pre game interview. Oh, and I can’t stand to see another photo of McKayla or listen to another interview. Yuck! Yuck! Ick! Anyone notice how she had to “one up” Kyla with “my brother and father BOTH play baseball.” There was article that said her dad played football at Purdue. No mention of baseball. Just thought it was funny.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I just watched Mckayla fall on her ass in the event finals (I had never seen it) and the attitude was there the whole time. Don’t let anyone tell you that she went and hugged Izbaza because she did not. Isbaza hugged her. Honestly Mckayla annoys me but I will taker her fame over Gabby any time of the day.lol

I see none of her father in Kyla. She reminds me of a younger version of her mother. Her father cracks me up. I don’t think I have ever heard the man say a word.

Kyla has so many nationalities in her. That is probably why she is so pretty.

      • kittykat Says:

It frustrates me so much to see Rick over at gymnastics coaching getting slammed for a post he made regarding the Gabby-excalibur debacle. Are people not entitled to their own opinions without getting tarred and feathered?
And it disgusts me that spanny, a blogger that I once enjoyed reading and respected, is so busy sucking gabby’s metaphorical dick and crucifying anyone who says anything that could be taken as negative towards her.
Ugh, fuck the olympics and fuck the gymternet

      • sanitynmotion Says:

McKayla totally did not hug Isbaza…Isbaza made a showing to hug her, and then when Paseka came over to hug her she ignored her. My husband watched it and was like “whoa, did you see that?” and I couldn’t help but think she really showed a bad case of sportsmanship. I mean, I know we’ve hashed this out already but as an athlete of that caliber it should be “automatic” that you congratulate your competitors at the end of a competition, no matter what your personal outcome was. Crying about it or pouting about it is for later.

That being said, I can’t help but see now in every interview with them, McKayla tries to hog the microphone or be the first to answer a question. Gabby beat her to it in the first question about a reality show but you could see McKayla was trying to be the “first” to say something and probably get the attention. If you ask me, both Gabby and McKayla are attention whores. McKayla has more charisma though. The whole “I wanna be a movie actress, not a TV actress” is common in Hollywood – actually, the “movie” actors tend to snub the “TV actors” because they see the TV actors as “below them.” I’ve heard that a lot. Yet for someone like McKayla to just get a start as a movie actress, that’s going to be a tough call. Everyone and their mother want that sort of thing. SO many people have tried – even famous TV actors – and fail. So I’m thinking in a year or so McKayla will have no other choice but return to the vaulting table. 🙂

      • Gymbee Says:

Ok, I officially think that Gabby has a more annoying voice than Aly. I’ll take Aly’s monotone anyday over that snotty voice.

    • Kazic Says:

I hope she gets back soon. There’s plenty of time till Worlds. A few months off, then a year to train the TTY.

  3. david0688 Says:

Well that sucks that you aren’t posting anymore comments and I understand about the trolls. I think that would people who just discovered this blog go through the trouble of e-mailing you just so they can post?

I know this comment probably wont be posted, but, I still have questions and comments about the “Fierce Five” and the tour that they’re going on.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

Oh David. If you are going to get mad at me at least realize you were approved already.lol

If someone wants to post they will send an e-mail. The only reason I am doing this is to keep the peace.

      • Case Says:

I’ve been watching this separation of the Fierce Five with interest….wondering if there is a subconscious competition of sorts. One minute there’s a tweet from the west coast bragging about Patrick Dempsey, followed by a tweet from the east coast about Eva Longoria.

I love them together as a group and wish we could see more of all five but I’m sure that will be a challenge after the VMAs. Kyla will be headed back to the gym and the others may have agents with different ideas of how to maximize the dollars.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Kyla needs to stay in the gym. That is where she belongs:) You know if I ran the world and got to tell her what to do.lol

  4. Biyatch Says:

I think in a way they were already starting to get separated.

Kyla is going to go back to the grind with training and school (she posted an adorable pic on twitter with a “my first day of sophomore year” caption.) My gut feeling is McKayla is probably done with the sport, she did an interview with Access Hollywood about wanting to be an actress (she said she doesn’t want to do tv, she wants to be in movies. eye roll). Maybe shell come back but I can see her wanting to take advantage of the distractions.

Gabby, Aly and Jo all have their own story lines that they can milk. I can see Aly and possibly Gabby (but probably not) getting back in the gym. I wonder if Gabby is going to finish high school (I’m sure she gets some rigorous homeschooling. lol)

The further away from the games the more their opportunities will be as individuals not as a group. The one who this would be at a severe disadvantage to this is Kyla, and since she’s retaining ncaa eligibility it doesn’t even matter. Maybe Jordan too since she only won one medal but I feel like her redemption story in TF, pulling herself together to help the team, is probably enough.

    • Case Says:

Biyatch, we were posting at the same time but I think you laid it out very well.

Jo will be fine. She’s got plenty of Midwest based companies to keep her busy at the very least.

  5. david0688 Says:

Oh, lol. Never mind my comment then. Haha. I’m still having problems posting comments. I’m new to word press so maybe there’s something I can do to fix it.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

You used to end up in spam David. Once I approved one comment it let your other comments post automatically. It should be fine now.

  6. sainabou nyang Says:

If these girls make a comeback, when do they have to report to Martas boot camp?

  7. Gymnerd Says:

So has Gabby landed any big endorsements? And if so, for what, so I can boycott it?

  8. Surfergirl Says:

I am surprised that McKayla is a Beiber fan and I don’t think of Kyla as being white. I think of her as Asian more than anything else. Hmm, she could play the race (black) card if she wanted. Hahaha…she would have so many cards to choose from. (o o , this won’t get me ban will it?

  9. Dee Says:

I am LOLing too at these dolls a little too much for my own good!

    • terrigymfan Says:

I definitely love the one of Tim, Elfie, and Al. I like the one of Marta too although I think it’s probably the best photo of her I’ve seen in a long time. I printed both out and they are over our dartboard at home.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Can you believe Marta is 70? Im telling you that woman will not die in a hospital bed it will be during a major competition with Nastia sitting next to her. Then everyone will say she died doing what she loves.

      • terrigymfan Says:

The one thing I will say for Marta is she is active and gets a lot of exercise (I read she goes for a hard walk every night around the lake at the Ranch.) That definitely helps you stay younger in your old age. I wish my mother did that.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

She does look good for her age. Bela looks more like her father. He looks like he’s pushing 80.

      • mim Says:

wow i had no idea that marta is 70! say what you will about her, but she looks good for her age. i thought she was in her early 60s, even late 50s.

      • Dee Says:

I knew she had to be pushing 70. And LOL to the dying while “doing what she loves”. Unless Nastia is CPR certified!

  10. JAS4 Says:

I could possibly see Aly and maybe Jordyn making Alicia style comebacks a few years in advance and McKayla and Gabby making more of a last minute comeback and Kyla would be more like Bridget and stick around through the next Quad

    • Anonymous Says:

      That sounds about right.

Hopefully Kyla will excel throughout the entire next quad (she has much better form than most or maybe even all of the upcoming US juniors).

I personally would love to see Aly continue and the one thing Aly has going for her is she for whatever reason is not prone to injuries. At 18, she has yet to have one which is pretty rare.

  11. Case Says:

Here’s an article on the DNC, which Aly and Jo have wisely distanced themselves from (Aly even says as much in this interview.) Other than Gabby, looks like they attended to promote the peripheral events.

    http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2012/09/05/3507137/celebrity-gold.html

    • david0688 Says:

So is Aly and Jo going then?

    • Case Says:

Aly and Jo did not attend the actual convention (as in on stage) yesterday, but they did attend some corresponding kids’ health related events in Charlotte.

So the Democrats will say they totally attended and their agents will say they didn’t. Make of it what you will. Lol.

    • Gymnerd Says:

OMG, Aly and Jo didn’t endorse the Democratic convention? Does that make them c***y Republicans (or “k***y” Republicans as they spell it over at GGMB)? I bet ABomb and his minions are going nuts.

  12. Case Says:

Here it is peeps….Gabby is penning an “inspirational memoir” due out in December. The tour will be over…is this where she throws the rest of the Fierce Five under the bus to make a buck?

    http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20627374,00.html

    • Biyatch Says:

Is it wrong to feel resentful of someone writing a book without a high school (or probably even a 9th grade literacy level, come on the homeschool programs these gymnasts are on aren’t fooling anyone.)

I can totally see her throwing her fierce 5 teammates under the bus.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

If she does than its only fair that the other girls come out with their own “memiors”. Jesus Christ these girls havent lived life yet and now Gabby is coming out with a memoir. As long as its positive and focuses on the sport of gymnastics then fine. But if its a trashy tell all…

      • terrigymfan Says:

In the past these books by gymnasts when they were still in their mid-teens and competing have been nothing but fluff (written by ghost writers of course) strictly designed for the young girl market. They were intentionally designed to be non-controversial and offend absolutely no one. Dom’s first book as a 13-year-old is like that. I’m guessing Gabby’s will definitely have a “racism/bullying” chapter on what she says happened at Excalibur, because I can’t see how the book can avoid that now after all she has said. It is going to be interesting though to see what she says about her Fierce Five teammates. My initial thought is she would not say anything about that and still largely fluff (“I knew I had to work hard to achieve my goals”) so that the book would still appeal to a broad market of young girls including whites. However, I can see her agents/handlers/publishers saying, “Look, Gabby’s lost the white audience anyway. If we really want to sell a lot of these books, we need to go after the African American audience in a big way, and what better way to do that than have Gabby claim her teammates were mean to her and excluded her because she is black.”

I know I sound cynical but I really think what winds up in books by a gymnast at this age (or any very young athlete or celebrity) has more to do with what the entourage surrounding the gymnast (the agents/publishers/handlers/parents) want it to say than what the gymnast wants.

      • Biyatch Says:

Well if she does that she better make damn well sure she’s done with gymnastics for good. Hell hath no fury like a publicly scorned gaggle of teenage girl teammates… If she wants to see how bad bullying can really get.

Bullying is such a buzzword these days but its been prevalent forever. The difference is now that you have the internet/other technology that can make destroying someone’s life so much easier.

When you add in intense pressure and competition that goes hand and hand with elite sports and without a doubt leads to bitterness, jealousy and resentment, its easy to turn to psychological warfare per say.

Was Gabby targeted because she is black, who knows, its a she said, she said and you have to decide who you are going to listen to.

Was Gabby targeted because teenage girls are bitches? Most likely.

      • terrigymfan Says:

        Well said Biyatch.

      • Gymnerd Says:

How about, was Gabby targeted because she’s an annoying little bitch? I couldn’t stand her whether she was white, black or Asian. I hate her annoying cockiness and phoniness. I hate the way she threw her dad and her old gym under the bus. I didn’t like anything about her before she won and I REALLY don’t like her now. Maybe she got on the other girls’ nerves as much as she gets on ours! Yes, some people do ask for it.

    • DL Says:

I wish all of the Fierce Five would just go back and focus on the gymnastics.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

I do too (that’s how they became famous) but I also can’t blame them for wanting to bask in their moment of glory. This is really what they’ve worked so hard for if you think of it – the chance to be known for something, or to be known as the best in the world. Once you’ve done it, it’s hard to go back and really be that focused, especially if you have potential sponsors or opportunities for further self-promotion come your way. Let’s face it, the big money is in entertainment, so they want to follow the big money, naturally.

That being said, I kind of liken McKayla wanting to be an actress to Carly Patterson wanting to be a singer. Both are big-entertainment Hollywood-type gigs. People will eat them up and spit them out. We all saw how Carly’s dream kind of fizzled and I can’t say McKayla’s won’t turn out the same way unless she either truly does have talent or knows someone in the entertainment business. I’ve just never seen an athlete become a reputable actor/actress, unless they are playing themselves. Feel free to prove me wrong though…I’m racking my brain and can’t think of anyone!

      • terrigymfan Says:

Esther Williams is probably the only famous athlete I can think of who make the transition to legitimate, big-time Hollywood star as opposed to just playing some form of themselves or more or less bit parts.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Remember when Carly did that duet with Jessie McCartney? I forgot what show it was but it was one of those singing duet shows.

      • DL Says:

Yeah, I shouldn’t begrudge them wanting to have a little fun after all those hours in the gym. But I just want more gymnastics!

Estella Warren was a good model and terrible actress (but she works consistently) who used to be a solo synchronized swimmer. She didn’t quit sport though–her event got phased out. Chanel chased her to be in a campaign.

    • Gymbee Says:

Oh lord. That book will be all “waah waah I was bullied, waah” but then some inspirational drivel about how she managed to overcome. Then some wild hinting to being shut out by her olympic teammates, but how she, yet again, managed to win.

  13. terrigymfan Says:

GTT — hearing Vince Scully’s voice over the PA system in the video of the girls throwing out the first pitch reminded me of a game I saw on ESPN Classic recently. It was the complete telecast of Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Scully did the broadcast and it was really interesing hearing his voice as a young guy. The film was of the actual telecast and was in great shape. It included the primitive way they would stick up the name of the player and position when he came up to bat — it looked like someone would just stick some cellophane with the info on it in front of the camera. It was also interesting that Scully did not mention anything about a perfect game being on the line until about the eighth inning. He was following the old superstition even as the announcer.

I know you hate the Yankees (I do too) but you can’t help appreciating something like that.

    🙂

  14. gingercrush Says:

I hate all the American gymnasts. Gabby is one big fake of a cow. Mckayla should never speak, her voice is hideous. So is Alys. Weiber just looks and resembles a sad cow. Kyla is beautiful but I’m not even sure she is alive. Anna Li is like the creepy old gymnast that never goes away and is a stalker. And Price is empty but has a seriously creepy old man coach. Finnegan is awesome but her coach has a terrible history.

Sloan gives off bitch vibes and Sacramone resembles STDs. Johnson is like an old tyre and her skin is going there too. Liukin has bug eyes and Bross is just scary. She was so intense in 2010 and mentally unstable.

    • terrigymfan Says:

LMAO. Sarah, I never knew you were so bitter about everybody else including your coach! Seriously, I love a funny rant that rails on everybody,

    • terrigymfan Says:

I accidently hit send too quickly. I was also going to ask Ginger if you had any extra tickets to the Kelloggs’ tour but somehow I think you might be passing on that this year. LOL

    • sanitynmotion Says:

Is ginger “Sarah!” – that whole rant is funny, actually – especially about Anna Li.

I would never pay to see the Kellogg’s tour, only because I could go to any level 7 meet and see the same thing. You’re basically going to see the actual gymnasts, I get it – but the fact they basically mount the beam, twirl a ribbon here and there to Katy Perry’s “Firework” song …would make me vomit all over the place.

    • Catherine Says:

Hahaha. Ah now Anna’s younger then Sacramone..Whenever I see Anna’s twitter with the 88 in it I’m always taken aback again that she’s as old as me with probably the best bars routine USA has at the moment.

I didn’t know that Al Fong was the coach of Gomez and Henrich for absolutely ages, no idea how I missed that. I’m not sure how they mamaged to churn out a girl that doesn’t seem to have been coached there at all, but at least Maddie and Sarah have BEAUTIFUL floor routines. Love. Maddie arguably could be a better all-arounder then Sarah…hard to know.

    • Gymbee Says:

      Hahaha – brilliant gingercrush 🙂

    • Case Says:

Gingercrush you are awesome. ROFL! Especially loving the Bross ending.

    • mim Says:

aw how could anyone hate sarah finnegan though? she’s such a sweetheart!

    • gymtruthteller Says:

lol Ginger. I can’t fault you for your opinion.

  15. Case Says:

Okay so somebody just tweeted a pic of the Fierce Five ready for the VMAs. I’ll be the first to ask, wtf is Aly wearing?

Kyla looks great. McKayla, Jo and Gabby look fine. Oh Aly….of all the dresses in the world, why that one?

But what do I know? She will probably be on the cover of Vogue for her fashion sense next month.

    • Catherine Says:

      https://o.twimg.com/1/proxy.jpg?t=FQQVBBhNaHR0cDovL2Rpc3RpbGxlcnlpbWFnZTExLmluc3RhZ3JhbS5jb20vZThlYjAzYTBmODc0MTFlMTlmM2YyMjAwMGExYzAwZjdfNy5qcGcUAhYAEgA&s=pJbuRNsz1_E7qFMuQCcJA0G6pAbhi5BbEGGu4997JmE

Can’t judge Kyla and McKayla off this properly. Ah Aly, what the hell is that? Her and Gabby look as if they’ve had absolutely zero styling help, it smacksd of what excited 14 year olds would buy. Jordyn surprisingly daring! I like it, except it looks very drape-y and loose in the stomach and she has a stomach to die for so there’s no need to try and disguise it. McKayla looks suprisingly demure and it looks fairly long..interesting. Her hair looks stunning. Kyla looks great, I have a very similar dress to that 🙂

      • Case Says:

There’s a standing photo on USAgym’s twitter. Aly’s dress just does not work at all and I hate the long sleeves.

      • Catherine Says:

        https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A2JKYfdCUAEv4Jd.jpg:large

Found it, thanks. Yes Kyla looks the best, Jordyn looks pretty good, makeup a bit dark on her maybe. McKayla’s dress is fine, nothing special. Gabby’s dress is wearing her, wayyy too overpowering especially with the shoes as well. Aly’s dress is gross, makes her look bigger than she is. Jordyn has the best shoes.

      • kittykat Says:

woah, A+ for Kyla!!! i think Jo and Mckayla look pretty good as well, Gabby and Aly not so much… hire better stylists girls!

    • sanitynmotion Says:

USA Gymnastics just tweeted the “full” pic so you get their shoes (very important, right?). I love Aly’s shoes and lipstick – but paired with a navy blue sparkly number? Nuh uh. Doesn’t work for me, and likely won’t work on TV. She should have worn a solid color, preferably black, if you’re going to work with the #hotpink shoes. And no neckline – just kind of boring in my opinion.

I love how Kyla doesn’t have a stylist yet manages to look better than everyone else. If that girl had personality she’d be THE star, no question about it. She’s absolutely stunning.

McKayla looks adorable. A solid second finish just behind Kyla. I’m surprised she didn’t try to pull a Miley and wear booty shorts with just a tuxedo jacket. I know, just wait until she’s 18 (sigh).

Ok, Gabby. You of all people can get away with wearing brighter, vivid, daring colors (you like to stand out, right?) and yet you chose that black/gold sequin number. Too many sequins and the color just fades you out. And I’m not sure about those shoes. They’re cute, but probably better paired with something else.

Jordyn. You have an amazing figure after all those countless hours in the gym. Freakin embrace it already. The drapes do nothing for you and I wish you’d stop dressing like a 40-year-old. I’m not a fan of the hair either but oh well. The color is nice. I give you third place overall. Although I think maybe you should trade shoes with Gabby. Or Aly, since you’re wearing the matching lipstick.

      • DL Says:

I actually love Gabby’s dress (as in I want it and would wear it). Jordyn’s too. But then I’m not a teenager.

Kyla does look the best out of all of them, even though I’m not a super fan of her dress.

      • terrigymfan Says:

I actually thought Gabby’s dress was kinda cute. Agree entirely on Jo, She has a figure to die for, especially the abs, and needs to start showing it off. I like her hair though. As usual Mckayla is showing a lot of cleavage but it is a cute dress. Walking with those heels she has should get at least a 5.5 D score.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

LOL 5.5 D score. Hey, that’s Kyla’s floor D score. Sad I know this at the top of my head…all I can think of is “PLEASE UPGRADE!”

I wasn’t a fan of Jo’s hair but I never liked the “all my hair to one side” thing…it just throws me off. I like balance. And I’m not even a gymnast. lol.

I liked Gabby’s dress but I think she kind of got lost in it…if that made sense. Like this is the VMA’s…I wish she would have gone with a brighter color or something. I dunno. And her shoes were cute but didn’t seem to go with the dress. But I’m very far from a fashionista so what do I know.

      • Gymnerd Says:

But Gabby MUST include gold in all her outfits. You know, just to remind us that SHE’S the gold medalist? Gag me.

  16. sainabou nyang Says:

Aww the girls look cute. Although I wish Gabby had pulled her hair up.

Did Katie Perry kiss Jordyns bicep?

    • Case Says:

Yes, according to Twitter Katy Perry did indeed kiss Jordyn’s bicep. Lol.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Nastia must be hating like a mutha right now. She probably hopes one of the girls trips in their heels.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

You know she’s telling herself “it’s OK Nastia you’re still an AA champion…don’t forget it…you beat Shawn Johnson. And you’re better cuz your comeback mattered most. You were one pirouette away from making the Olympics and being a gold medalist, AGAIN.”

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Yeah how fun is being AA champ when you can go in the VMA’s and meet all of your favorite celebs AND get a kiss by Katy Perry on your bicep which by the way was really weird.

  17. sainabou nyang Says:

I agree that Kyla looks the best. The dress is appropriate for her age. I actually like Gabbys dress although with a dress like that its better if the hair is pinned up.

    Jordyn-Beautiful color

Aly-Her dress doesn’t bother me.Maybe I’ve become used to her style of dressing.

Mckayal-is it me or do her shoes look too big for her. This dress is cute but I liked the grey and black on she had on yesterday.

  18. sainabou nyang Says:

Fab 5 presented Alicia Keys. They didn’t fuck it up and Kyla thank god didn’t fumble her words.

    • catherine Says:

What about the rest? I’m hearing Nicki minaj altered lyrics to gold for gabby and gabby tumbled on the stage and completely exposed her bra or something???

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Lol yes Ms. Gabby got to do sone tumbling on stage. I didn’t notice the exposed bra though. She got a hi five from Alicia keys.

The girls did well I must say.

      • Case Says:

Gabby had the big solo moment with her tumbling but I think Jo unexpectedly shined last night. She looked great, got some camera time on the red carpet and during the show and came off well. I’m happy as hell for her. Kyla looked phenomenal but didn’t otherwise stand out (as usual.) What I thought would be the Maroney show really wasn’t that way at all. Aly also faded into the background a bit….well as much as you can fade in that fugly dress.

      • Kazic Says:

Case I feel the same. Happy people are getting to see Jordyn. MM has been a bit low key as of late.

Katy kissing Jordyn’s bicep was weird. She was odd all night though. She was all up on Rihanna.

  19. nero Says:

Oops posted in the wrong thread! Anyway, I thought Jo and Kyla looked the best. Loved their dresses.

They did kind of fumble the intro but I thought it was cute. Then only Gabby comes out to do gymnastics stuff…of course. She had on a baggy top and she did a bunch of back handsprings and it flipped up a bunch of times. Who thought that top was a good idea???

  20. Gymbee Says:

Just went on twitter, I made a gymnast list that I checked. All the girls are tweeting “had so much fun at the VMA met so and so” and they’re so excited. In the middle of all the feed there’s Shawn… “let’s have a Q & A session guys!” hahaha. It might just be a coincidence but the way the feed looked, it just screamed of “pay attention to meeee”

    • Guest Says:

In the following serval months it would be Shawn’s time if she can go far. The Fierce 5 girls will be in the tour and Shawn will enjoy the Hollywood moments exclusively. I don’t think she had the necessity and purpose to seek attentions at that time.

  21. sainabou nyang Says:

So now we wait for youtube or another blogger to post footage of the tour. With Nastia part of the creative process god only knows what we’ll see. I hear from Johnathan Hortin that the guys are learning some hip hop moves. I look forward to the comments about this tour lol.

  22. Biyatch Says:

    http://www.mtv.com/artists/chris-brown/photos/7473301

PIcture you’d never think you see. Aly and her seat buddy…

    • Biyatch Says:

Also LOL at the gift bag contents that the girls got last night. Wine, vodka and condoms. Just what every underage 100lb gymnast needs before leaving on a parent free 40 city tour.

      http://www.mtv.co.uk/news/vmas/363201-2012-mtv-video-awards-gift-bag-here

      • Case Says:

LMAO…nice MTV. Lynn Raisman, Rita Wieber and Mrs. Ross are having heart attacks right now.

On that note…which gymnast on tour is most likely to pull a Mohini Bhardwaj or Shayla Worley this go round? You know there’s tons of debauchery opportunity.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

Ohh what did mohini and shayla worley do? Give us the scoop.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Shayla was rumored to be thrown off the last tour for drinking.

      • david0688 Says:

Really? Even though they’re underage? That’s not very appropriate. Says stuff about our culture.

      • terrigymfan Says:

If they actually handed out those bags to the gymnasts (with the possible exception of Aly since she is 18) without removing the alchohol they probably could be prosecuted. I’m am pretty sure it is illegal in almost all states to give alchohol to minors. The condoms are something I believe is inappropriate to hand out to minors too without the parents. That should be left to the parents’ judgment IMO.

      • Catherine Says:

Well it’s not known if they had different bags for minors..I’m sure they’re not that stupid to hand everyone that one. How many gymnasts on the tour are actually of age? Alicia, Nastia, Anna?

      • sainabou nyang Says:

We need a mole inside that tour so we can hear all the trash talking. Lol

      • gymtruthteller Says:

It will all be behind the back gossip like stuff.

      • Gymbee Says:

Alcohol they shouldn’t give out, but condoms are fine IMO. Better be protected – and it’s not like having a condom is going to make someone have sex. Age of consent in a lot of states is 16 anyway.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Parents should be involved in making that decision. IMO.

      • terrigymfan Says:

At such point as I think one of my kids might be considering have sex I will probably encourage them to have condoms as a precaution or even provide them for them (although I would under all circumstances discourage the sex). However, I think that my husband and I are in a far better position to know if our kids are physically, intellectually, and emotionally mature enough to be given condoms than some organization that is just handing them out randomly to any kid who happens by. I think it is extremely presumptious of the VMAs to hand them out to underage gymnasts if that is what they actually did. I have heard of schools and such that make them available to minors without parental involvement of any sort and I disagree with that too.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

It always makes me laugh (in an ironic sense) at how celebrities get so many things “handed” to them – (this isn’t really about the gymnasts per se), but what I mean is, once you “make it” you all of a sudden get designer clothes, meals, etc. all paid for – i.e., a restaurant will take care of your bill just so they can say you dined there, or for free publicity – same thing for the designer clothes. Stars get sent things in the hopes that they wear them for free publicity.

Yet the middle class schmucks are the ones that end up shelling out the real dough for these products, if they can afford them. The “celebrities” that have the big bucks and are the most able to pay for it just get it for free.

I’ll never stay at an Andaz for instance because I can’t justify shelling out over $200 a night for a hotel room.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I know people in the business and forget that. ON tv they literally have a room full of cloths that celebs can go in and take anything they want for free. All the new stuff or brand names. They set it up and events for channels and their new line ups. I would feel tacky filling stuff up in a bag but these tv people do it all the time.

      • Kazic Says:

Rita Weiber’s a boss. She probably confiscated the swag.

    • gymtruthteller Says:

That picture kind of disgusts me but if Rhianna doesn’t care she was beaten to a pulp than I am certainly not going to waste my time caring.

    • Gymnerd Says:

“On that note…which gymnast on tour is most likely to pull a Mohini Bhardwaj or Shayla Worley this go round? You know there’s tons of debauchery opportunity.”

@Case: I’ve got my money on McKayla. Hands down.

      I HOPE it’s Li’l Oprah, though.

      • mim Says:

when i read that mckayla idolises miley cyrus i lost all hope for the girl.

i can see nastia or alicia trying to “corrupt” the younger girls. ha. anna and chelsie seem too chilled for anything too debaucherous.

loving the shayla gossip, never liked her but could never put my finger on why.

  23. Catherine Says:

Looks like there’s more to their appearance than this anyway.

    • sanitynmotion Says:

Thanks for posting this. I love Pink. She’s so “real.” I love how she sits on the floor so the gymnasts can have the couch lol.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

I’ve always liked Pink.Anyone who tells LA Reid to fuck off that I won’t be turned into another Britney Spears is all right with me.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I hate Pink. Always have. She cannot sing and I hate when so called celebrities feel the need to shove their political opinions down our throats. I find her full of it and a total rip off of Madonna which is what every single one of these pop stars are these days.

Why did she tell LA Reid to F*** OFF.LOL

      • sanitynmotion Says:

I like Pink – just do. I like her singing and think her tunes are catchy. Is she the most talented singer ever? Heck no. I like the fact she’s not a girly-girl Katy Perry type though, and then proceeds to make fun of them (tee hee).

I do agree with what you say though about celebrities trying to throw their political opinions down our throats (and she’s one of the worst, and it pisses me off – same with Madonna, Ben Afleck, Barbara Streisand, etc.) Most of these people haven’t even gone to college and I doubt they really stay on top of the news of the world. They live lives that are so outrageous and out of grasp to us “common folk” so them trying to use their celebrity status to promote a political ideal is beyond ridiculous. If they care so much about the poor and the jobless then f*ck donate more of your money to the causes or hey – create more assistant jobs for your over-inflated egos instead of buying your multi-million dollar mansions, $100,000+ cars, spending a million on your hubby’s lavish birthday parties, etc.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

You are allowed your opinion. I just have this need to share my opinion when others share their opinions.lol Sorry I just have to do it:)

      • sanitynmotion Says:

Of course and I like it when you share them! I guess I’m the same way on sharing opinions as well lol.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I don’t believe any of these celebrities claiming they are democrats. I will bet you everything I own they go into the voting booth and vote republican. They don’t want to pay more taxes. They just know it looks better to pretend they care about the little people.

Poor people and rich people are all set. It’s the people that have enough to survive with nothing extra that need the help. The middle class that owns a house and two cars do not need as much help as the world loves to claim. It’s the working class that just get by that really need the help.

        IMO.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

She said in an interview that she was fighting with the label because they were trying force her to be like Britney Spears all cutesy and bubblegum pop. LA Reid especially wanted her to be like that. I’m goad she spoke up most singers won’t then will complain years later how they hated their image.

I agree she And the rest of these celebs need to shut up when it comes to politics. Stick to your day job.

      • Kazic Says:

I’m a big P!nk fan. She’s fantastic. She didn’t just sit on the ground, she bowed down to them. She’s a g. And she did indeed used to be a gymnast. That’s how she pulled off that amazing show at the Grammys a few years ago.

I don’t have s problem with her having the political ideas. Stupid Girls is one of my favorites of her songs. Watch the vid.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

You agree with her of course you don’t have a problem with her. I am sick of her and EVERY celebrity running their mouths. They need to just shut up and sing. That is what they get paid for.

      • sainabou nyang Says:

OMG GTT yes yes. I’ve said for years that Hollywood is nor liberal at all. All of those celebs who supported occupy wall street were such phonys. When you have Kanye west talking to protesters ina $500 designer shirt come on. Every celeb will vote republican because no one wants to give away their millions by way of taxes etc..

      • terrigymfan Says:

The way I look at it, I do not go to a concert or athletic contest or whatever to hear these celebrities’ political views. And if they are on a talk show, I want to hear about what they have been doing in the fields they became famous in (acting, singing, athletics) and maybe a little about their personal lives but not politics because they have no more expertise than me or anybody else on that subject. Plus, it makes me uncomfortable even if they are espousing my political views, because I know they are making someone else uncomfortable who disagrees with them. I really do think they are shoving their views down your throat, when you weren’t asking for that just because they have the opportunity. Now if they want to go to a political convention or political rally and espouse their views n have at it because that is where you expect that sort of thing.

      • Kazic Says:

GTT I don’t agree with Kelly Clarkson’s political views, but I have no issue with jer expressing them. It’s not shoving it down our throats IMO, it’s just part of what makes up who they are.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

That’s funny because I don’t know what Kelly Clarkson’s political views are, but I definitely know Pink’s. She even wrote a song about it.

      • terrigymfan Says:

Kazik, if you truly don’t mind tuning into a talk show where one of these celebrities is being interviewed, or going to a concert to hear them, and they suddenly start spouting off their political views, even ones you disagree with, that’s fine I guess but it turns me off entirely. If it’s a talk show I immediately flip the channel, and I really get ticked off it it’s a concert because I paid to hear them sing. To me it is like going to the doctor and suddenly in the middle of an appointment he or she launches into a political diatribe. That is not what I went there for!

      • sanitynmotion Says:

I know what irritates me is that celebrities use it to “appeal” to their general public and what they believe is the masses, especially in Hollywood where it’s pretty much standard you agree with the far left. It’s almost like they feel they have to champion the leftist ways as a means to get everyone to think that they promote/champion the poor. Yet they’re such hypocrites because it’s not like they donate more $ as a percentage of their income than most “common folk.” And they pay people to “hide” most of their income overseas or avoid the taxes. They have financial advisers that help them manage their money so that most of it isn’t taken away by the government (like ours is). I mean, not “all” celebrities are like this but it just really strikes a chord with me that they can use their status to tell me who to vote for. Whatever, stick to your day job.

And yeah Terri it’s like showing up to the doctor’s office and then all of a sudden the doctor is like “want to hear my new song?” and starts serenading you. Um, no thanks. Just give me my meds.

And Pink! – just sing and shut up already. Same with you, Alicia Keys.

      • Kazic Says:

Sanity, she’s a Ron Paul fan. She even did a fundraiser for him (or something like that). She’s tweeted about him. It’s not a secret that she supports him. I may not agree, but I am ok with her expressing her opinion.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

LOL then I should shut up cuz I thought she was a huge Obama supporter! I guess I’m thinking ’08, because back then everyone was supporting him. Funny she switched sides. She was totally anti-Bush. I guess everyone is. LOL.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I never supported Obama. Not everyone did.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

You take me so literally. I guess I can’t blame you. I live in California so it “seems” like everyone here (and definitely everyone in Hollywood) were huge Obama supporters.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I wasn’t taking you seriously.lol. I was just being my usual dry sense of humor-less:)

      • sanitynmotion Says:

…and I was being my usual “der” over-the-head …oh well. Still laughing though about the horse on ice.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Tell me she doesn’t look like a horse on ice????:P

      • terrigymfan Says:

LMAO Sanity at your analogy to a doctor singing to you at the office. It reminds me of the PTA president at one of my kid’s schools one year. The woman fancied herself a singer and would literally start singing in the middle of the PTA meetings! She would come up with the most lame excuses as to why she needed to sing the songs, such as the meeting being close to some holiday, but she knew she had a captive audience so she belted away. I was always like, “Get me outta here!”

      • sanitynmotion Says:

Yeah Terri one of my pet peeves is when people sing randomly, or even sing at all for that reason if I’m not at a concert. It’s weird. I yell at my husband all the time to stop singing. He sucks at it and it’s literally like nails on a chalkboard, only worse. I do those P90X videos sometimes and they’ll randomly sing and it annoys the crap out of me. So if I were part of your PTA group I’d probably really want to just punch that lady in the face. I don’t know what it is; I guess it’s a thing because my mom told me when I was four years old we were at church and my Nana was singing (a solo or something) and I just stood up after a couple minutes and screamed “STOP SINGING!!!” – everyone just stopped and looked at me. I don’t remember this thank goodness but I probably embarrassed the crap out of my mom. My nana thought it was funny.

    • Gymbee Says:

Thanks Catherine! I’m happy Kyla got to talk a bit for once 🙂

    • gymtruthteller Says:

OMG Gabby just tried to act like Mckayla. That was hilarious.

  24. sanitynmotion Says:

This is off topic, but I watch the Bachelor Pad (I know it’s trash TV but it’s addicting…even though I don’t watch the Bachelor or Bachelorette anymore) and the challenge for the second week (I’m behind) was a rhythmic gymnastics contest. They brought in Tasha Sweigert (however you spell it) to judge (haha, Jordyn’s “agent”) and I could barely recognize her. I think she’s had major work done to her face. She looked in decent shape though otherwise…
