Romania is using Bulimer in team finals but they did not use her in prelims. Diana deserved a shot at the Floor finals over Cheleru who did a good job but still.
US ends on floor.
Does anyone have the AA start list?

Thanks but I meant the list for who starts on what in the AA.

Douglas up first on FX in Team final, who wants to bet that won’t end well?
July 30, 2012 at 8:43 PM |
Marta had no choice. She could not justify using her anything but first.

Too bad McKayla can’t do floor I would hope it would score better than Gabby’s

Jordyn got almost 90,000 more followers since last night! I hope she kills it tomorrow and shows all these people typing that she’s ‘over-hyped’ and Gabby is better just how lucky we are to have her on Team USA
July 30, 2012 at 8:58 PM
It will only be temporary. Gabby must lose. The world needs her to be brought down a peg.
July 30, 2012 at 10:07 PM
Who’s saying she’s “over-hyped?” (I haven’t been on IG or USA gymnastics forums, so if it’s there….) I mean, how do you OVER-FREAKING-HYPE the current world AA champion? Doesn’t seem like it can be done. She’s already been the best.
July 30, 2012 at 10:50 PM
Gabby doesn’t even have 80.000 over all. that makes me happy.
July 30, 2012 at 11:05 PM
I have turned you all into mean haters.lol I kind of like it.

Gabby on beam in TF… and being used in all 4 events its like a dream
July 30, 2012 at 8:53 PM |
LOL I am hoping she makes mistakes but saves the tanking for the AA.
July 30, 2012 at 9:42 PM
Gabby on beam… this is of some kind? Especially when it looks like US team really needs that gold medal now because their chances for gold in AA are questionable. Gabby should just do bars and floor (since McKayla can’t) and that’s it, I wouldn’t let her vault or beam, it’s unbelievably stupid idea, especially when US has really 3 athletes “who-just-don’t-fall-on-beam-like-ever”.
July 30, 2012 at 10:07 PM
It really depends. According to Tim she was deducted for every step OOB if that is true then she would have scored a point higher with that routine which would have put her ahead of Komova who was slammed on floor.
I don’t think you get deducted for every step OOB. Gabby getting a 14 with all the jumps on her landing makes more sense with the way scoring was going.
July 30, 2012 at 9:43 PM
“is this MADNESS of some kind”, no idea why “madness” didn’t make it.
July 30, 2012 at 10:08 PM |
A dream? It’s like a damn nightmare….I’m with GTT- hoping she can keep it together for the team but then headcases like CRAY-CRAY for AA and UB. That’ll learn her….maybe.
July 30, 2012 at 10:10 PM
I wouldn’t say I want her to get it together for the team.lol I want her to mess up but I want the fall to happen IN THE AA.

July 30, 2012 at 9:09 PM |
I won’t be here for NBC but I will see what time I get up for team finals. I don’t care if they win but I am not in the mood for the Gabby love fest. It needs to be brought down BiG TIME
July 30, 2012 at 9:13 PM
I still have this really horrid feeling the Gabby love fest will be brought down big time as a result of her screwing it up for USA to win gold. Then it would be really effed up if she hit in the AA and got herself a gold medal.
I hope if Gabby effs up in team finals she’ll be forced to fake an injury and allow Jordyn to compete (pull a Romanian move). 🙂 I know, I’m horrible.
July 30, 2012 at 10:08 PM
Sanitymotion you’re wonderful, I can’t believe they put Jo up first on vault, is that not the spot for the worst vaulter? (correct me if I’m wrong) gabbys vault lacks dynamics and consistency, jordyn is EASILY the better vaulter. You suck Marta, gabby on beam = recipe for disaster, go Russia.
July 30, 2012 at 10:25 PM
You know she will be honoured like at Nationals (was it?) when she fell on beam but “heroically managed to pull it together for floor”. If she tanks in TF but manages to pull through a win for AA….. I will be pissed pissed pissed. Imagine Gabby on the talk show circuity as the sole winner, or something.
July 30, 2012 at 11:33 PM
I am guessing they put Jo up first on vault because she would be the best table setter out of the three. Putting Gabby up first would likely result in an ASac moment (gawd she’d hate me if she saw that hahahahaha). Maroney obviously had the best vault of the three.
Gabby’s vault is actually not that bad – form is better than Aly’s and when she hits, she hits. However we’ve all seen too many times her sitting it. I’d almost take Aly’s guaranteed landing (despite worse form) …I mean the only difference b/t Aly and Gabby at quals was one tenth. Oh well. I’ll just have to bite my nails harder…
July 31, 2012 at 2:22 AM
I actually agree sanity, I think id prefer Aly’s vault over Gabby’s. And I understand that Jo would be a good table setter but I almost feel like its just another blow to her from Marta and co..
July 31, 2012 at 2:33 AM
It wouldn’t surprise me if Marta wants to ruin Jordyn’s confidence and wear her down because I seriously doubt Marta likes Geddert because he openly speaks out against some of her policies

3. Mustafina
4. Douglas
5. Raisman
6. Komova
July 30, 2012 at 10:35 PM |
That should be interesting
July 31, 2012 at 1:03 PM
woahhh the floor rotation will be INSANE
July 30, 2012 at 10:36 PM |
So the US starts on vault. Interesting for Komova to end on floor. They will know exactly what she needs to win.
July 30, 2012 at 10:51 PM
Wonder if it will help or hurt Gabby going last on bars normally last is a good thing but she will be going up after Komova and Mustafina on their best event
July 31, 2012 at 3:01 AM
Isn’t it always that way at Worlds and Olys? Reverse order on floor/the last event in the AA final? It increases the drama because the best are up last and know waht scores are needed.
July 30, 2012 at 10:37 PM |
wow, Aly has a legit chance to medal and I hope she does! Iordache is going to compete right? I think I would rather have her win more than anybody else just because nobody is talking about her
July 30, 2012 at 10:33 PM |
I have been out of town so I haven’t been able to comment in awhile. I think Gabby on beam is SCARY!!! I realize the judges didn’t give Jordyn her connections but I would feel much better with her on beam getting a lower score than risk Gabby tanking. I have this awful feeling that Gabby will cost the girls the gold but will go on to win AA gold. PLEASE NO!!!
July 30, 2012 at 10:56 PM |
LOL I wish Gabby could get no medals, but since that would mean Kyla and Jordyn don’t get medals either (sorry but Jordyn second on floor gives her no shot)I hope USA gold and then Gabby tanks in AA
July 31, 2012 at 1:04 PM
I wish for the no medal scenario, too, only because she is going to be the next Dom Moceanu for sure…
but that would not be fair to the rest of them. sigh.
July 30, 2012 at 11:14 PM |
OMG you just spoke my mind…Gabby will mess up beam in team finals, cost them the gold, but will redeem herself in the AA winning gold or silver..totally see it happening now. UGH STUPID FREAKING MARTA KAROLYI.
July 30, 2012 at 10:36 PM |
I do like the order of girls in AA final though. Love Aly going next to last on floor and Gabby having to go first on vault.
July 30, 2012 at 10:40 PM |
the AA draw is the same every time. I don’t know why they seed teams and AA but have a random draw for EF
July 30, 2012 at 11:36 PM |
It’d be better if Gabby went first on beam…tee hehehehehehe
July 30, 2012 at 11:19 PM |
What is the order for team finals? I know the order of the US but what rotation do we start on and what country goes first?
July 30, 2012 at 11:31 PM |
I am still reeling over last night and the travesty of what happened to Jordyn. I cried for her, especially when she was forced to give that interview. What a class act! I feel there are 2 glaring reasons why Jordyn did not qualify for the AA. 1) The blatant underscoring of Jordyn on beam and floor and the blatant over scoring of Gabby on beam and floor. 2) The team of people around Jordyn who changed her beam routine and did not have her upgrade other events. At Worlds Jordyn scored 15 to 15.2 on that beam routine. It was solid. WHY did they change it? Also, so many gymnasts around Jordyn were upgrading and her routines seemed to have remained the same since Worlds. Interestingly, I looked at her scores on floor from Worlds and they were similar to what she scored on floor last night. In fact, her all around total in quals at Worlds was the same AA score she got last night. I just cannot help but think that Jordyn and her coaches forgot about the potential threat posed by Aly. I still think she was robbed, but I cannot help but thinking what if…what if the scoring was fair, what if she had her Worlds beam routine, what if she had upgraded more?
July 30, 2012 at 11:39 PM |
Kel you totally have a good point there. It’s like where Jordyn “could” have upgraded they didn’t. She had a double lay-out that looked really good she could have used on floor. I’ll give her credit for upgrading her bars dismount. Her vault obviously doesn’t need upgrading.
I think where her coaches failed her were (obviously) the beam upgrades…where they chose to have her make her connections. It wasn’t working, hadn’t been for awhile, yet they chose to continue using them. Now I wonder if there would have been another different way to upgrade her beam routine. The sad thing is that the upgrades they used this time around actually made her beam routine worse. I felt like her beam scores were getting lower and lower rather than the other way around.
July 30, 2012 at 11:42 PM
His job as a coach was to realize that and fix it. He didn’t
July 30, 2012 at 11:46 PM
Totally agree. I do not know if her beam routine could have been upgraded in another way but you would think it would have been changed long before when that routine clearly was not working for her. I also wonder if her floor could have been upgraded. She seems like such a powerhouse and capable of even more on floor. Again, I still think she was underscored and should have been in AA finals over Gabbrat, but I feel like maybe they rested too much on her consistency. I felt the same way about Shawn…with Nastia’s monster SV on bars there was no way Shawn was going to beat her unless she made a mistake.
July 30, 2012 at 11:52 PM
In Shawn situation though she was being deducted for things in 08 that they did not deduct for in 07. She needed to upgrade bars but counted on execution which she never got credit for. Her leaps aside Shawn was old school in the sense that legs and feet were together and pointed and there were no leg separations. That itself should have made her UB routine a few tenths higher.
July 31, 2012 at 12:00 AM
Yeah Shawn was unfairly scored as well – got reamed for things on beam and floor if I remember correctly that they weren’t deducting from Nastia for her leg separations on bars.
July 31, 2012 at 12:08 AM
If she had been deducted for everything that routine should have had 3 points off in deductions. Her legs were never together on that routine and her dismount has to have an entire point in deductions itself with the form and leg separations and low landing.

Explain to me how someone that speaks so well can be so damn dumb when it comes to this sport.
I love how she says, when she HAD to room with Shannon.lol I bet it was awkward because Miller owned you.lol
July 31, 2012 at 12:38 AM
My live feed sucks…what does she say? Why is she even still relevant? For someone who only produced ONE individual medal (bronze, on home turf) in the Olympics despite three shots at it…well, why does she get a free invite to the Olympics? Sigh. I’m in a bad mood. I tried refreshing the stupid page and it’s like pause pause pause…argghhh.
July 31, 2012 at 3:12 AM
That clip of Dom is so funny because the icy relationship she had with Shannon, and still does I bet, comes through loud and clear. Dom is just an icy bitch and Shannon, especially back then, was hardly someone easy to get close to. So those two rooming together were like oil and water. The difference is that Jordyn and Aly are normal girls and good friiends. Sure they are competitors but I don’t think Jordyn will hold this against Aly for long at all. As usual Dom can’t talk about anything without bringing it back to herself.
July 31, 2012 at 3:18 AM
facebook did not exist back then and the internet was new. They had no opportunity to be friendly but Dawes is very jealous of Shannon and always has been. Shannon is just too clueless to see it. Kerri Strug was that way too. No one wants to be friendly with the best.
July 31, 2012 at 3:27 AM
GTT, do you mean Keri was clueless like Shannon or jealous of Shannon like Dawes was?
July 31, 2012 at 3:33 AM
Shannon was clueless to how Dawes and Strug felt about her. I don’t think she really noticed.
July 31, 2012 at 6:29 AM |
I posted a big rant about how Jordyn got screwed on floor too and it disappeared. Oh well. Maybe it went to spam.
In any event, I’m actually thinking Komova will have the gold in the AA now.
And Musty getting the same score as Jordyn on beam is absolute bullshit.
July 31, 2012 at 11:07 AM |
On a random note, is this twitter account of Catalina Ponor legit? (@CPonor) – some NBC reporters follow her… Anyway, “Cata” tweeted something about her leos.
July 31, 2012 at 1:07 PM |
I’m still reeling over the fact that Gabby made beam finals and was 3rd on that event. I have a feeling she is going to pull out the performances of her life and then we are going to be stuck with her as the face of USAG for the next four years and beyond. Oh this is just too much. I seriously wont be able to take it!
July 31, 2012 at 3:22 PM |
So, anyone nervous? I am!
