The Funny thing people search this blog for

Surprisingly, a lot of the searches for this blog are gymtruthteller. We are becoming famous guys:) semi famous.

Anyway here are some funny things people have searched for to find this blog. What I think of these things will follow plus some answers for those that are being serious.

Here we go:

name of girl with bad knee at olympic trials 2012

Rebecca Bross. How do you call yourself a gymnastics fan and not already know that?

is nastia liukin a bitch

Ahahahaha. Um,

“alicia and nastia liukin no longer friends”

Well it’s like this. According to a commenter at this blog Alicia de-friended Nastia on twitter first. Rumor has it that they are no longer buddy buddy like they were due to the free pass Nastia was given during this last few months of her “comeback attempt” Alicia would not take kindly to working her ass off only to watch Nastia get a free ride ton the Olympics because she is Marta’s pet.

why not change dismount rebecca bross

The question of the year.

will rebecca bross continue to train after not making olympics

No one knows yet.

jaycie phelps divorce

She divorced Brett, forget his last name a few years ago. Jaycie kind of became a wild child after her strict training ended. IMO that marriage was part of the learning process.

gabby douglas over scored

Hell yes!

gym truth teller identity

(Oops. I meant to save and finish. Now I will finish while you read.)

who is most likely to win the aa in the 2012 olympics

Either Viktoria Komova or Jordyn Wieber. I expect one of those two to win.

why don’t people like nastia l iukin

Her bad attitude and ego are why I cannot stand her. I am sure other people here will give their reasons:)

did nastia liukin make it to the 2012 olympics

Yes. Of course she did. She showed up didn’t she? I love this Classic. I got asked this question about 38

steven legendre gay

Totally in the

nastia said chellsie was fat

Here is what happened according to lore. Chellsie beat Nastia. Nastia called her fat and daddy Liukin ran around telling the world that Chellsie stole Nastia’s gold medal. Give Chellsie all the credit in the world for not dope slapping nastia to next Tuesday but she eventually forgave her.

video of olympic gumnasts being mean to gabby duglas

Spelling aside they were not mean to her. Jordyn, Aly and Mckayla are very close as a group and they celebrated together while Gabby did all the interviews and stole all the attention believing she actually deserved her ridiculous scores.

Hi Jas:) Don’t you love every four year gymnastics

mackenzie caquatto boyfriend

Yes she has one. I forget his name but she tweets about him all the time. He looks old enough to be her father but I am pretty sure he goes to school with her at Florida. If you ask me he was a big reason she decided to give up on her Olympic dreams. She tasted the good life at College. She met a boy and the rest is history. Her injuries were a huge part of course but I just get the impression she loves school. It’s too bad because she could have just done bars and been Anna Li. So could have her sister.

jaycie phelps drugs

The rumor is she is a huge pot head but rumor’s are not facts.

could mckayla maroney be the first perfect score in years

No. Judges are always going to think you could have gotten more height or more distance and as beautiful as Maroney’s Amanars can be she looses form a little when she lands and she doesn’t always get super distance either.
I think her amazing Amanar at last years world during team finals was only given a 9.6 execution score and she nailed that vault. If anyone is going to get a perfect score it will be Mckayla for that vault.

alicia sacramone on not making the team

Eventually she will show her bitterness. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I have her E-mail somewhere. Maybe I should ask her:)

Well these weren’t funny after all accept the, Did Nastia make the Olympic team but it is interesting to see what people search this blog for.

  1. JAS4 Says:

Sounds like the every four year crowd are trying to figure out what’s going on in gymnastics and the Nastia crazies that you blocked are probably trying to figure out who you are lol

  2. Kel Says:

People on facebook keep asking why Shawn wasn’t named to the team. I have officially stopped posting on facebook, because it is hard to be kind in your responses to such idiots!!!

  3. Kel Says:

I am curious what your thoughts are on the women’s team competition and how you think it will shape up with the Russians and Romanians having more difficult vaults? The Romanian gymnasts recently competed and got pretty high scores on beam. Some people were saying they were overscored, but apparently a lot of those judges that were judging are also judging at the Olympics. Just curious if overscoring for certain teams/athletes might be an issue?

    • gymtruthteller Says:

It will be an issue and the US is going to be in for a rude awakening.

The US will have 3 Amanars to Russia’s two but tell me the last time judges gave a shit about execution? Russia will over take us on bars because Gabby, Kyla and Jordyn most likely will not get 9.0 execution scores on bars at the Olympics and even if they do so will Mustafina and Komova and even Grishina.

It will come down to floor. IMO. Romania on bars should take them out of it unless someone falls.

The US will have one great score on floor, Aly. Doesn’t matter who the other two gymnasts are they are not getting 15 scores if anyone does.

It is a crap shoot. Can Russia hit? Will the judges do their job to Gabby and her mistakes? I don’t know.

I think the US can pull it out but it will be a lot closer then Marta thinks if everyone hits.

      • LG Says:

I agree you with you on that on GTT. When I did the point totals with Russia having one amanar, the USA still had almost two points on them (even with their weak bars), but that is with gifted connections and slightly over scored floor. With the international scoring in play, the amped up vaults from other nations it’s actually shaping up to be a pretty exciting race. It will be close. If Russia hits, they could take this, but they havent been completely consistent. Romania…you can just never count them out. They never go quietly. What both Russia and Romania and China (and even team GB and the Aussies) bring, are at least one and in some cases two returning olympians that judges know and recognize, those athletes tend to get the benefit of the doubt in judging more than first timers, the USA is all first time Olympians. That’s just the sport. It should be interesting. If the USA doesn’t hit…They likely won’t win. If they hit, they probably will.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Someone on the US team will fall and it will be someone you don’t expect. That is the way it usually works out.

It is SO unfair to Jordyn to make her compete all 4 events in team finals but it has to happen.

I just hope (if I was rooting for the US team) that Gabby does not hit beam in prelims and Marta uses her in team finals. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

      • Kel Says:

Well said…Romania seems great until you look at their bar scores which are dismal. But…they look like they can score higher than us on beam and about the same on floor. I think the vault rotation will be really interesting. I just wonder how consistent the Amanars are of the other teams. I agree that it’s going to be super close. This is not going to be like the World Championships…just hope the girls realize that. I hope prelimaries knocks Gabby down but not so far that she loses all confidence. Would actually love to see Aly get the 2nd AA spot next to Jordyn. I like her personality so much more than Gabby’s!!!

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I agree. I also hope Gabby gets the scores she deserves.

      • Kel Says:

I don’t see Marta using Gabby in team finals for beam. At least I hope she’s not that stupid! I think she will use Gabby for vault and bars and maybe floor. However, I can see her using McKayla on floor if she does better in prelims. I feel bad for Jordyn too. She is going to be so tired by the time the AA rolls around. I just hope her and Aly stay consistent. I don’t want to have to watch video replays of anyone messing up like Alicia on 08! I felt so bad for her!

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I am only going from memory but at worlds last year I am pretty sure Mckayla had some mistakes in prelims on floor and Marta still used her on floor for team finals. I guess it will depend on how close the scores are.

      • Jen Says:

Russia “has” two Amanars, as in Komova verified hers at an internal competition and Paseka hit one and sat one at their Nationals. Russia is Russia, if they hit, they are amazing, but when do they hit? Never. Going into London 3/4 of the events are huge question marks, especially considering two weeks ago, Afan was performing watered down – Kyla Ross d-score level floor routines and Grishina couldn’t do anything other than bars and had a major error on beam during their team selection competition. They have the potential to be great, but I don’t see them living up to their potential.

I’m 200% sure that Gabby isn’t going to score like she did at Nationals/Trials. She’ll max out at 15.6 on bars, Kyla will be right behind her at 15.5 (because she’s, you know, actually scored fairly even in domestic competitions).

      • gymtruthteller Says:

I want to see how Kyla scores with Olympic judges who don’t know her. She almost always scores better outside the US especially on beam.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

I know what you mean about Jordyn; Shawn had to do the same thing in 2008 too – and then Nastia rested on the vault apparatus (for team finals).

  4. Veda Says:

I gotta admit I first found this blog recently by searching “gabby Douglas overscored” lol man I just cant stand that kid.

  5. Aerial Says:

I can’t remember how I was first directed here but I remember the first or second post I read was about people searching for Mackenzie Wofford pooping her pants her something. I was hooked ever since that time.

  6. Kel Says:

I found my way here by searching about people not liking Nastia🙂 Can you believe her face is still on the NBC Olympics homepage?! Well…I can believe it, but I just wish they would take it off already!

    • gymtruthteller Says:

I don’t go to If anyone is going to be biased idiots it is them, and Fox for baseball

  7. catherine Says:

Lol brilliant. I found my way here from a blogroll somewhere else, Rick I think. My own blog search terms are starting to build, I love the ‘is nastia liukin overrated ones’. I have loads for Rebecca bross exploding knee, gtfo!

    • Dee Says:

HAHAHAH myself and the whole room of people i watched trials with couldnt get over the NBC “exploding knee” comment. i’m still laughing…they hit the very top of the ridiculous meter with that one.

  8. partypants Says:

I don’t get why people say Steve is gay?? Doesn’t he have a fiancee’?

    • gymtruthteller Says:

Oh sweetie, Many people in this world are married and gay. He just pings the

      • partypants Says:

Hmm.. Guess we’ll agree to disagree! Nothing about him strikes out being gay to me!

  9. The GYM JUICE Says: hmmmmmm Nastia and Chellsie seem like friends on this video, do you think they are just faking or they made up or something?

    • Casc Says:

It’s hard to tell by this movie that “they are friends”, Chellsie is interviewing Nastia and they share some memories, but it doesn’t mean anything, since Chellsie is basically kind to everyone (I guess it is one of the reasons people like her).

    • gymtruthteller Says:

Chellsie forgave her because Chellsie is a good person and Nastia is a bitch

  10. Dee Says:

What is this twitter story about ASac defriending Nastia?
Jas, are you the one that found this? You are the twitter Queen of the GTT.

I love nothing more than facebook/twitter drama, LOL, because I dont tweet and I rarely use facebook, so this stuff is hilarious to me.

    • JAS4 Says:

Not me that time lol🙂 but I found this on twitter

Now that He Kexin has been named to her second Olympic team the age controversy is starting again now that Nastia had lots of free time I am waiting on her to lead a committee investigation of this because she wants that gold medal on UB lol

      • Dee Says:

        woaaaaahhhhhhh that’s pretty legit.
I wouldnt want an Olympic medal that way, though. Even if the real age was found to be under the limit, I would take it for what it is worth and keep my silver medal. Does anyone really view the 2000 women’s team as bronze medalists? I know it’s hard for me to remember that. Just as it would be wierd for Nastia to suddenly be the UB champion, when the images in my own mind are of her wearing silver. And would Beth be happy with a bronze, after feeling that dissapointment with just barely missing out on the medals? I feel like when medals/titles are switched around due to rules being broken it doesnt mean as much to the athletes?

I dont know. As much as I think He’s age in ’08 should be exposed, if it really was 14, I dont know if the actual titles/medals should be changed. Just my two cents though. Glad I’m not someone that actually has to make these decisions.

wow.ok.sorry.I just wanted to get that out there.

      • JAS4 Says:

If He Kexin’s age were exposed then Nastia would have two more gold medals for team anf UB she would then have one more gold than Valeri which I’m sure she would rub in his face constantly lol

      • jazzy31 Says:

I’d have to disagree with Dee. If I finished 4th in the Olympics then found that someone ahead of me lied about their age and got disqualified, I’d want that damn bronze!! FedEx it to me ASAP!!

It is soooooo obvious that China lies about ages to get medals. If it can be proven then I say go for it and give the medals to those that deserve them.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

If we are fixing the age issue then we should get to go back and fix the form issues. Yang Yilin deserved that gold medal. Nastia was lucky she medaled at all.

      • Catherine Says:

Yang Yilin got slammed for her laboured kips, but yeah the other two didn’t for their errors by comparison.

      • The GYM JUICE Says:

        1) Kudos to whoever did the Kexin research. Clear proof that she was underage and I don’t know how the IOC can ignore it. However, this person’s statement that athletes who are beaten by someone younger should be ashamed is incorrect. Gymnasts who have had more time to prepare have also had more time to wear out and break! Which is why underage cheaters are so despicable. They take advantage of girls who wait until they are actually old enough and are often not as fresh and healthy as younger athletes. If gymnastics was not easier for the younger competitors, then why would this type of cheating be present in the first place??

        2) Dee: Why wouldn’t you want the medal? Nastia was beaten by a 14 year old in 2008. However, if Nastia had cheated like He Kexin did and competed in the 2004 Olympics when SHE was 14, she probably would have won gold. So by not cheating, Nastia missed out on gold. And if He HADN’T cheated, Nastia would have it. That’s why if I was one of those athletes, I would absolutely want my medal!

      • Gymbee Says:

I agree with both dee and jazzy31🙂 cheating is cheating, whether it’s lying about age or bribing the judges.
But then again I can imagine it wouldn’t feel as special to be given a title after the fact.

I feel bad for He Kexin, imagine having 2 years of your life basically stolen!

      • doughnut sundae Says:

Fourteen seems kinda old if you ask me.

After Beijing, Marta mentioned the toothless smiles of Chinese Olympians waiting for their adult teeth to sprout. But what could she do during the Games? Accuse the host of cheating?

      • JAS4 Says:

We may never know the truth or if we do it probably won’t be anytime soon unless Nastia decides to head up her own investigation now that she isn’t going to get a chance at another medal

      • Luckystar Says:

Whether someone agrees or disagrees with the age limit, using underage gymnasts is cheating because it increases the pool of gymnasts one country is allowed to choose from without giving the other countries the same benefit. The US has some juniors who could be considered seriously for the team, but they can’t be because they’re underage. Its not fair for other countries to ignore this rule. It gives them an unfair advantage.

      • sanitynmotion Says:

I think the powers that be really turned their heads the other way on this one. They didn’t want to offend the host country. It was obvious China cheated; they would have done whatever it took to win in their country. I mean, they even cheated on the FIREWORKS display.

I also thought it suspicious that it took YEARS for it to be discovered that they cheated in the 2000 games. I can’t help but wonder that behind the scenes the powers that be kind of negotiated for the 2000 admission with the promise to ignore 2008.

Overall it’s really not fair to the country/athlete that deserved the win for not cheating. They never got their “podium” moment, which really is the huge part of that prize. You can never just go back. Those US bronze medalists are lucky anyone knows they won anything because it’ll always be in peoples’ minds that in 2000 the gymnasts came home without anything.

I remember being angry with Marion Jones for the same thing; she had won 5 medals in Sydney that were taken away – 2 of those medals were from relays so that’s a lot of athletes that were stripped of their “podium” moment.

      • Dee Says:

To answer those that asked: cheating is cheating and although it is wrong, if I was beat that day, I wouldn’t want age conflicts to be why I am FedEx’d a medal. I would have to respect the results, no matter what dirt came out later. Sure, it would be nice to be sent a medal but I know for me personally it would never feel like “mine”. Especially if every photo, result page and memory of the event showed me on a different step of the podium or even off. That’s just my opinion and my personal feeling.

  11. Luckystar Says:

I always felt Maroney was a lock on the team. She’s the only girl who is a lock for a gold medal in an event. Even Jordyn’s far from a sure thing in the AA (although she’ll definately be on the podium). And while the other girls are talented gymnasts, they don’t stand out enough on specific apparatuses to be considered miles ahead of their competitors the way Mckayla is on vault. Yes, I know there main priority is the team competition and the AA, but those individual medals do add up. Even if Marta and USAG wanted someone else on the team (which I doubt they did), I think USOC would insist on bringing her because she increases Team USA’s gold medal count which they lost to China in 2008 51-36.

For Alicia to be placed on the team over Maroney she would have not only needed to upgrade her vault, but she would have needed to perform it to the point of it being unbeatable on an international level, and I’m not sure she could have done that with her injury, even if Marta had told her to upgrade.

To justify taking Alicia as an alternate she would have needed floor. I think she said in an interview she stopped floor because of her Achilles, but if Marta told her to quit that sucks. There was never a spot on the team for her as a vault and beam specialist, even as an alternate. Alternates aren’t consolation prizes for the gymnasts we like that didn’t make the team, they are meant for the (very realistic in a sport like gymnastics with the Karolyi death camp) possibility that 1-3 girls could be injured any time from now till the end of the Olympics, and replacments might me needed. Sarah, Elizabeth, and Anna can do this, and Alicia can’t replace any of them without floor.

She’s a good gymnast but unfortunately Alicia just didn’t fit into the puzzle this quad. I won’t be crying to much for her though, she has an olympic medal at home to wipe away her tears with (even if it’s not gold). Plus having your mom write passive aggressive tweets in your behalf because you didn’t get your way is pretty lame.

    • Luckystar Says:

Also has anyone else ever felt annoyed by Alicia’s “leadership” skills constantly being referenced as though they alone should get her on the team?

I am a bit skeptical about how much of a leader she really is. I think it’s possible she is a strong personality who uses that trope to promote herself. Given the way she treated 15 year old Shawn Johnson at 2007 Worlds she hasn’t always seemed supportive of the team over herself. But that’s besides the point.

What I find offensive is the people who act like these girls will be lost little lambs without Alicia to guide them through London. C’mon your talking about 5 of the worlds best gymnasts, 4 of which won USA gold at World’s this year. They don’t need Alicia to hold there hands.

      • gymtruthteller Says:

Shawn beat her. Alicia does not like to lose and I agree with you. I know for a fact some of the girls in the 2008 era did not like Alicia but a lot of other girls did. I always thought her team leader was BS. Remember, Alicia is the queen Bee with the hot boyfriend and star power. Those types of people usually get everyone to follow them.

Alicia has always had a life outside of gymnastics and most of these girls do not.

      • Dee Says:

oooof I agree. I’m getting tired of it, too, because people are constantly forgetting that the USA won worlds without her on the team. No pep talk won them gold…their performances when it counted did.

    • sanitynmotion Says:

This might be true (Maroney being a lock for vault gold), but imagine the disappointment if she doesn’t end up taking it home. The same situation happened with Cheng in ’08; she was basically guaranteed that same prize…as long as she landed on two feet. Although Maroney has yet to fall under pressure when it comes to vault, nobody is really a “lock” for a medal. The Olympics are such a crap shoot.
As for the mom tweets – we don’t know if ASac is behind them; could be her mom is just angry (what mom wouldn’t be I guess, despite the age of the child) and is being passive-aggressive. Too bad Twitter wasn’t around in ’04; those Vice tweets would have been interesting.
And ASac also admitted that just being a “leader” wasn’t going to be enough to make this team. Aly Raisman had stepped up to that role during Worlds, so ASac lost her footing there. Although I do agree; I never bought that ASac was a good leader, especially in competition against her teammates. She only was a good leader when she was putting in good performances. The second she made a mistake SHE was the one who needed consolation. We all saw this in Beijing. I can see her being a fine coach but as for leadership in a competitor, she kind of failed.

  12. Gymnerd Says:

New here. A blog that doesn’t like Nastia OR Douglas?! I have died and gone to heaven!!!!!!
