Hah, more Marcel Nguyen on my computer screen! Can’t wait. *shallow*

I support this opinion. I also support more Kohei and Zonderland on my TV ) in general) lol.
October 31, 2012 at 2:43 am |
I’d love to see Iordache, Tunney, Price & Ferrari duke it out. I’d love it if Ferrari wins. Then if she retires, it’s with a nice win.
October 31, 2012 at 2:58 am |
Do Tunney and Ferrari have the difficulty to be competitive with Iordache and Price if the latter two hit their routines?
October 31, 2012 at 3:24 am |
Go Iordache! And Tunney…and Price.
October 31, 2012 at 5:24 am |
Ferrari? She’s still competing? Last year on couch gymnast there was such a depressing interview with her basically saying she hates gymnastics and wants to be done.
I was a little surprised to see Lleyva on the list. I didn’t think he would be done after London but I didn’t expect him to be ready to go compete so soon. Then again, it is Men’s National Team party of one since everyone else is on tour or busted.
October 31, 2012 at 10:29 am |
As soon as Lleyva knew Kohei was coming there was no way he wouldn’t be there. Lol
November 1, 2012 at 3:21 pm
Saina I love how Lleyva is delusional enough to think that he’s even in the same zipcode of talent as King Kohei. His Majesty should break out the samurai sword and whack Danell over the head with it. Maybe it’ll knock some sense back into him.
November 2, 2012 at 2:42 pm
Kazic if kohei stays on until Rio I can see stupid NBC hyping up this rivalry between them. Nothing against Danell but Kohei is in a class of his own.
While were on the subject anyone who watches mens gymnastics know of any incoming seniors. I’ve been reading about some kid named Sean Melton.

apparently vanessa is competing because she wants money to get an apartment for her and her boyfriend, or something to that effect.

Lord. Well, whatever motivates ya!

Dee did Ferarri say she want to quit because she lost the tiebreaker to Mustafina in FX EF? She seemed devastated (rightly so).
November 1, 2012 at 7:48 am
she seems pretty pissy at musty and/or the judges in FX EF:
“I: You have received a lot of solidarity after the outrageous injustice you have suffered at the Olympics. It has happened to other Italian athletes but yours was particularly outrageous because happened due a wrong rule.
V: This rule was done to avoid ties since with the old code (10 system) ties were really common. But with this new system ties are really uncommon and so I think this rule is no longer necessary. In fact there isn’t this rule at Worlds or Euros. And about the Russian deserved to win or not, I think everybody knows.”
from the couch gymnast.
November 1, 2012 at 3:18 pm
Lol, I like how she didn’t even name Aliya. Just called her the Russian. Oh teh ‘Tude lolol. You can tell someone’s pissed when the other person is the “insert nationality here.”
Personally I think that if two athletes tie, both should get a medal. The tie break is bogus. That includes Ferrari, Aly, Ponor, and anyone else I missed. Though personally, I do dig Mustafina’s routine.

I wonder if any of them have upgrades yet?
October 31, 2012 at 9:46 am |
In case people like..what is that..Niamh is pronounced Neeev. It is an Irish name. She’s good on vault and floor but lacks difficulty. Wakana Inoue is also on the roster for the Asian Championships so I’ll get a better look at her then, lovely beam though. I love Tunney but she needs more difficulty to really push the leaders.
November 1, 2012 at 3:10 am |
I had a friend in grade school with that name, spelled the save way.
October 31, 2012 at 11:09 am |
I love Iordache but considering she had heel problems that ruined her Olympics. I’m surprised they’re rushing her back. I want her healthy for 2013 Worlds and hopefully be one of the few Romanians to make a second Olympics.
October 31, 2012 at 11:37 am |
The fix for her injury seems so off too. A silicone pad to make her legs even on the landing–who knows if she’ll heal properly in time to be awesome.
November 1, 2012 at 3:12 am
It’s not odd, because they discovered that one of her legs is slightly longer than the other (that’s what most likely caused the injury). Also they are apparently going to correct that through surgery too (I’ve forgotten how that is done).
November 1, 2012 at 3:24 am
Ah, I thought that they weren’t going to correct it through surgery and just have her use the silicone pad to compensate.
November 1, 2012 at 4:06 am
Pretty sure I heard they were going to correct it. I’ll have to check with the Romanians I know lol.
November 1, 2012 at 7:50 am
i vaguely remember reading awhile ago that they decided to correct it with surgery.

im cheering for tunney!
October 31, 2012 at 2:17 pm |
I love Tunney too. Also like Iordache and Price. Not that familiar with the rest of the female gymnasts listed.
November 1, 2012 at 2:38 am
Terri it’s a good field. If only Mustafina hadn’t pulled out ;_;
October 31, 2012 at 4:18 pm |
Apparently its not just the gymternet that reads into every tweet… the mainstream media is trying to do it too after this tweet:

Soooo that proves that all of us on here and our obsessing is totally normal
November 1, 2012 at 3:00 am |
haha I love how the Two Olympic AA Gold medallists are on the outside.
November 1, 2012 at 3:27 am
Aly should know better than to wear that shirt with the fights the B’s have had with Tampa the last few years. BAD Aly
November 1, 2012 at 5:20 pm |
What a joke that Nastya is dreaming she is one of the “Fierce 5″ now.
November 2, 2012 at 2:49 pm |
Just read at couch gymnast that Musty is slowly training for Stuttgart. Not sure how accurate that is since I thought her and Vika weren’t but I hope shes there. There’s an interview where shes says shes determined to have a team gold around her neck at the Olympics.
November 3, 2012 at 4:38 pm |
O_O that’s my girl! Gonna go read it now. She would be determined to get that TF bling. Bring Nabs next time, and then we’ll talk, Musty lol.
