There is a reason the last gymnastics competition to be considered great by the majority took place in 1996. That was the last year Bruno Grandi was not running the sport of Gymnastics.

Nellie Kim was re-elected. The cheater ran against no one which is a travesty in itself.
I think I remember term limits being a new rule during the last Olympics so if my memory serves me right Grandi’s reign of terror will end in 4 years.

The only time change will ever take place is when the public will either get angry/stop caring/watching gymnastics or if someone with a lot of money/power demands a change.
Dammit we should reach out to Donald Trump, lol. Maybe he can entice FIG with $5 million to dump Nellie and Grandi.

I suspect she’ll be next in line after the guy currently being groomed to takeover after Marta. Steve whatever his last name is. Nastia will go to school first and maybe get in a few years at the FIG in some capacity, and then she will be in the perfect position to be crowned queen of the USAG. It will happen, make my words.

Cuz I’m completely ignorant of this, can you tell me when and how Nellie Kim cheated? I totally believe it, I just don’t understand how. Until this last quad, I never realized all the back-room antics in USAG or FIG. I was a happy go lucky gynastics fan oblivious to anything out of place other than eating disorders and body image problems. See, ignorance is bliss! LOL

She gave Svetlana Boginskaya a 10 in 1992 Olympics for bars. (Incredibly weak routine even for that time). She also gave one to Tatiana Gutsu but I can live with that one.

When she was a judge she gave out ten’s to the Russians and in 2008 Nastia missed a connection on beam and she ran down to the judges table to demand they give her credit for the connection even though she missed it. That pretty much proves they tried to treat for Nastia.

Also I believe she was the one who made sure Masha Paseka got credit in London for her Scamnar (the judges were going to credit it as a DTY). She was, at some point, officially sanctioned for cheating in some capacity, I do believe. GTT or someone can perhaps verify that I have that right.
